The socialists think the Palestinians are their allies. They aren’t, of course, the two systems are fundamentally incompatible. If the Muslims take over the socialist fellow travelers will the first ones eliminated. And, as usual they’ll be utterly surprised when it happens, as they always are.
Not really. The historical pattern has been Islamists plus socialists join up, seize power, and kill everybody else.
Then and only then do they turn on each other. And the Islamists generally win.
After they’ve exterminated the socialists, the Islamists will, just as invariably, turn on each other. Their belief being that one among them, and only one, has the privilege of being the One Most Perfect Servant of Allah. Who will of course receive Paradise on Earth.
Not that it will matter to anyone else at that point,

We constantly underestimate the powerful effects of hormones on rationaity. That goes for the male ones, too (see Zed meets Jack Cates).
