Not this boy. And certainly not in south Texas. No sirree.
I even got attacked underwater in my pool tonight by some bloodsucker.
I got “Bug Candy” written on me somewhere where I can’t see it.
So glad I retired to desert Arizona, where all I have to worry about are scorpions and rattlers.

I feel for you. I think I’m the favorite blood bank of every mosquito in SE OH.

They regard “Off!” as a secret sauce.

True story. I should change my name to Smorgasbord. I knew O- was universal donor, but it took me a while to realize even the bugs knew it.

It’s funny. When I lived in the Champlain Valley of VT and NY, the Black Flies and ‘skeeters were all over me. We moved to the Low Country of South Carolina, and I hardly see any, and rarely get bitten. The Fire Ants now…

I heard long ago that Vitamin B made
        people unappetizing to mosquitos.
Tried it, and seemed to work.
        The wife, however, remained
        delicious.

Brewers yeast tablets always worked for me. Started a week before deployment and skeeters might light but would immune takeoff.

At least you can use them for target practice.
I always said “when I retire I’m going to move to Arizona, buy a trailer out in the desert with three air conditioners and shoot rattlesnakes off the back porch for fun”…the only thing I have is the air conditioners.
Could be worse though, mosquitoes don’t like the desert. Up here the local boy scout troop has a mosquito on their badge and when I was posted to northern Alberta we had 4000 lbs of fuel and two belts of 20mm in and were loading the first rocket pod before we noticed it was a mosquito, not an F5.

The badger, pound for pound, is the most aggressive and fierce creature on land.

I was ‘Made in Maine’… ayuh, got some bugs there. About only thing missing is Texas Chiggers. Best way to deter them I’ve found is Sulfur Dust.

The mention of “black flies” in New England brought back some not so good memories. Originally from south Louisiana and spent some time in Alaska and coastal south Texas. I’ll take mosquitoes over black flies anytime.

I want one of these, but not at that price. I do Wonder how it discriminate between mosquitoes and other flying objects, such as birds.
