Day By Day

  • KenH

Al? For 10 bucks, I’d see you staked out and gutted for the polar bears in Churchill….

    • 10 bucks?
      Ken, you piker.
      I’d pay up to 20.

  • Greg B

    Sam? Jan?
    Soft “cushions”, racks?
Oh my, how the imagination can run with that one.

    • Yea, I had a hard time keeping my imagination under control too…

      • GWB

        Why would you want to?

        • Actually, that’s a good question…I have a VERY vivid imagination.

  • rickn8or

    “How do I plead?”

    Is “Not Stupid” an option?

      • Old Codger

And yet the AGW true believers persist.

        • B Woodman

Much as the ProgLibtards insist on NOT having in any religion, yet they continue to have faith in their Statist beliefs – even when they’re proven factually wrong.

“Faith: firm belief in something for which there is no proof.”

And the ProgLibTards call us who believe in God delusional! At least we (here in America – I can’t speak for the rest of the world) attempt to convert through persuasion, not force and coercion. And if someone becomes disillusioned, we do not mock, ridicule, and affect their relationships and occupations.

  • MasterDiver

I plead GUILTY-GUILTY-GUILTY. And now say hello to my little friend! BBRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPP!
(Damn! only 50 rounds in that drum.)

    • Bill G

Donald Hamilton once had Matt Helm comment that the 100 round magazine for the Thompson ‘let you stay in the killing business longer’.

      • KNO3

No love for belt fed machine guns?

        • Vince Smith

Belt fed weapons usually require an “AG” (assistant gunner) to feed the belt or reload a new one. Righteous irony 😉

        • MudMarine

Belt fed weapons usually require an “AG” (Assistant Gunner). Righteous irony 😉

    • NOW you’re supposed to add: “You Fucking Marićons!”

  • silvergreycat

    Not Guilty!!!

  • NotYetInACamp

    My pleading.

The accusers are guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors as well as Treason.

The accusers shall take their position alongside all of the tyrants and totalitarians in history.

The accusers shall be sentenced. And such sentence shall be carried out.

    • B Woodman

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Haven’t the idjits who wrote and believe that propaganda piece ever been the the hot Caribbean, heard about the hawt women, and the hawt sex every night?? So, tell me again how hot climate affects a woman’s sex drive??

      • markm

But if Ann Miller could dance like that without melting in a pool of sweat, it must not have been “too darn hot”. Not that I don’t like the hootchy-coo…

      • Pamela

Back when a bountiful Woman was beautiful on film, and the only skinny women were on news reels showing the survivors of the concentration camps and war zones. That’s just f’ing messed up.

      • Old Codger

DAMN!!! but that woman had a gorgeous set o’ pins on her!

    • Pamela

Something’s really wrong with that line of thought and the “alleged” science behind it. If you aren’t all hot and sweaty during, it’s either too damn cold or it was not long enough. The duration.

  • grayjohn

Al Gore is a Climate Molester.

  • LifeofTheMind

You can tie me to that rack.

  • The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) today denounced a subpoena from Attorney General Claude E. Walker of the U.S. Virgin Islands that attempts to unearth a decade of the organization’s materials and work on climate change policy. This is the latest effort in an intimidation campaign to criminalize speech and research on the climate debate, led by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and former Vice President Al Gore.

“CEI will vigorously fight to quash this subpoena. It is an affront to our First Amendment rights of free speech and association for Attorney General Walker to bring such intimidating demands against a nonprofit group,” said CEI General Counsel Sam Kazman. “If Walker and his allies succeed, the real victims will be all Americans, whose access to affordable energy will be hit by one costly regulation after another, while scientific and policy debates are wiped out one subpoena at a time.”

The subpoena requests a decade’s worth of communications, emails, statements, drafts, and other documents regarding CEI’s work on climate change and energy policy, including private donor information. It demands that CEI produce these materials from 20 years ago, from 1997-2007, by April 30, 2016.

On March 30, 2016, Attorney General Schneiderman, former Vice President Al Gore, and attorneys general from Massachusetts, Virginia, Connecticut, Maryland, Vermont, as well as Attorney General Walker, held a press conference in New York City to announce “an unprecedented coalition of top law enforcement officials committed to aggressively protecting and building upon the recent progress the United States has made in combating climate change.” Schneiderman said that the group, calling itself “AGs United for Clean Power,” will address climate change by threatening criminal investigations and charges against companies, policy organizations, scientists, and others who disagree with its members’ climate policy agenda.

CEI has long been a champion of sound climate change policy, and opposed previous attempts to use McCarthy-style tactics by officials aiming to limit discussions between nonprofit policy groups and the private sector regarding federal policies. CEI is being represented in this matter by attorneys Andrew M. Grossman and David B. Rivkin, Jr., who recently founded the Free Speech in Science Project to defend First Amendment rights against government abuses.

    • B Woodman

An open ended fishing expedition. I thought the 4th Amendment was ratified for that purpose, “. . . no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

But then again, the Constitution and the BOR are heresy in today’s PC world.

      • GWB

Probable cause ain’t what it used to be. The 4th Amendment requires skeptical judges, who do not desire to disturb their fellow citizens. Of course, when you don’t actually see them as your fellow citizens……

  • eclark1849

“No one expects the American Inquisition!”

    • Mr E

      Diabolical laughter…

    • GWB

Pfft. I’ve expected it for about 25 years now.

  • “How do I plead?”
Not on my knees, that’s for damned sure.

    • B Woodman

You may kill me, you may shoot me, you may even shoot me in the back, but I will be standing, not bowing or kneeling when I receive the bullet.

      • Jeffersonian

Fu*k The fu*k out of them.

        All enemies. Foreign or domestic.

        Never submit.
        Never surrender.
        Molon Labe’.

      • I used to believe that I would die in bed at the age of 90, shot by a jealous husband.
Now it seems that I will die on my feet at the age of 60, shot by a jealous government.

    • GWB

Lan astaslem. I will NOT submit.
      Come and take it!

  • B Woodman

How do I plead? I plead GUILTY on all charges of belief in the DoI, the Constitution, and the BoR. And I spit in your face. And present to you BOTH Flying Fickle Fingers of Fate, one from my left hand and one from my right hand.

“For behold, my field of fucks, for it is bereft and barren, and I have none to give.”

    • JSStryker

      Couldn’t have said it better!

  • B Woodman

You can stretch me out over Sam’s or Jan’s rack any day, any time, all the time. Sweet torture, indeed.

  • WayneM

Cardinal Algore, are you ready to confess your wrongdoing? Confess the heinous sin of enviro-wackery!! Reject the words of the Climate Change Cult!! Repent your Inconvenient Lies!!

    Confess! Confess! Confess!

    • JeffC

Just remember to use a Louisville Slugger instead of a cushion to hit with during such questioning.

  • JohninMd.(Help!?!!)

Brian Frosh is the AG of Maryland, a Democrat. This bastard was chair of the State Senate Judiciary Committee. We had “shall issue” carry permit legislation get through the MD. House of Delegates TWICE, unanimously, which he killed with a “desk drawer veto”. This is
just the kind of control freak crap he’d like. He’s the kind of politician that A one party
” blue” state like Maryland keeps electing, over and over again. Paris Glendenning, William
Donald Schaeffer, Martin O’Malley, all pitiful jokes of Democrats who suck. Like AL Gore.

  • JohninMd.(Help!?!!)

Here’s how I plead, Cardinal Gore. I plead REVOLUTION! And I’ll nail those documents to the doors of the White House, the Capital and the Supreme Court. Then, you and those AG’s can go pound sand…..

    • B Woodman

I like that. A modern day Martin Luther and the 95 Thesis.

    • GWB

How about we nail the traitors to the doors, instead?

      • John M.

Better to place their heads on stakes, then go enjoy a steak cooked over charcoal and a mechanically refrigerated beer!

        • John Greer

I prefer the original Dracula’s method of impalement.
Impale the whole body and let the impaled live to enjoy their trip to the hereafter.
A swift death is too good for ’em.

  • Algore just needs to go die. PPV? $10 per showing, I’ll put in at least $50. This is BLATANTLY obviously nothing more than extortion through taxation.

  • Henry B.

It may be time to re-read one’s copy of John Ross’ first book.

    • PaulS

Is there something other than his first?
In fact, I have been unable to bring up his website for quite some time, or find any information as to why that is. He seems to be off the grid.

  • Lon Mead

    Hmmm… I didn’t expect a Spanish Inquisition…

  • eon

    Considering that the Sun is shutting down;

We are most likely looking at another “Little Ice Age”, the same as the last Maunder Minimum.

We should have gone almost entirely to nuclear and hydroelectric power decades ago. Instead, we have “No Nukes!”, the destruction of existing hydro dams to “make rivers wild again”, the destruction of the coal and petroleum industries, and the pious proclamation that Holy Wind and Holy Sun will save us all… from Global Warming.

Forty years ago, the deep-ecos (including Al Gore) were claiming we were entering a “New Ice Age”- and proclaimed that we must get rid of technology and revert to an agrarian socialist feudalist culture operating at Stone Age technology levels to Save Holy Mother Gaia.

Twenty years ago, they claimed that Anthropogenic Global Warming was going to kill us all- unless we dump technology and revert to an agrarian socialist feudalist culture operating at Stone Age technology levels to Save Holy Mother Gaia.

    It’s a basic principle of physics that a single set of causes cannot have two opposite and diametrically-opposed effects. Therefore, if two entirely opposite “effects” are claimed to be the result of the same “cause”, and the same solution is demanded for both sets of effects, you can be sure of one thing;

The effects are a fraud, so are the claims for a cause, and the solution being demanded is the prime desideratum.

If they were serious about “fighting” climate change by reducing “carbon output”, they would be building nuclear plants and hydroelectric dams. Period. Instead, they want to primitivise the world, which will kill about 90% of the human race. Thereby fulfilling their dream of reducing the population to the ‘carrying capacity” of “Holy Mother Gaia “, which they reckon at about 50 million humans.

(That works out to them, plus ten slaves, and about two armed thugs to control the slaves, per “enlightened one”.)

When people are dying from cold (which historically has killed a lot more people than heat ever did), the “enlightened ones” should be on trial at the Hague for crimes against humanity. Specifically, attempted genocide. We’ve done it before- see Nuremberg, which BTW is their model for what they want to do to “climate deniers”.

As they move on to their own version of Auschwitz and Birkenfeld for all those grotty humans they don’t need to do the scutwork.

In the future, the Global Warming fraud and “Gaiaism” will be seen as being as great a crime against humanity as Nazism and Communism.

Not surprising, really. They all had the same roots in primitivist collectivism. And a self-anointed elite’ who hate the human race.

    • CanisLacus

Well said sir. 100% agreement from this bitter clinger.

    • PaulS

Part of the lefts love of trains, and perhaps it’s a very bad coincidence that the rail system leads to coal fired power plants that have large furnaces.

    • GWB

Those folks in NYC and Boston and the the upper midwest will be glad to know that! That snow last week was all in their imagination!

  • Bill G

The Climate Control Racket is definitely a Cardinal Sin.
Can a group of Attorneys General be indicted on the RICO Act?

  • Christopher

    Not guilcup

    • Chris Muir

  • Wes

Symbolically each has their merits based on the offense, but the only question remaining is to test the throughput of gallows vs. guillotine.

  • NaCly Dog

    Chris, this is excellent.

Sadly, the LIV don’t know the Monty Python parody skit, let alone the historical reality.

    • Old Codger

Nah. Firing squad is the way to go. Raffle off the slots on the firing squads, $10/ticket. Then telecast it live on PPV. Ought to bring in enough to make a decent dent in the national debt with that.

  • B Woodman

I think Al is wearing the wrong outfit. Instead of a Catholic cardinal’s suit, shouldn’t it be a protestant preacher’s suit, with a backwards collar? Hasn’t he been referred to, more than once, as “The Right (Wrong) Reverend Al the Goreacle the Oracle”?

    • eon

I prefer AlGore From The Planet Eco. Anything as demented as he is can’t be using anything remotely resembling human intelligence.

Dalek, Sontaran, or Ice Warrior, maybe, but not human.

Did any of the Pro-Climate Changer’s names show up in the Panama Papers? Be interesting to see how much was funneled into offshore accounts.

  • Norm

I just read yesterday’s DBD and the comments are closed as I type. There was a lot of airplane talk, some about the A-10 program.

The initial reference to the A-10 program closing was not about the Warthog. There was another airplane with the A-10 designation in the ’90s. I worked on the infrared missile detection system for that one for a while. GE Aerospace.

The cost overruns and delays for the entire program were horrendous and the program was cancelled before a single airplane was built.

    Not the Warthog.

    • H_B

You’re thinking of the A-12 Avenger.

    • Old Codger

Norm, they WERE gonna scrap the Warthog. The A-12 was to replace the A-6 Intruder.

  • William Lehman

Americans don’t “Plead” we react, up to and including using the “third box”

    • B Woodman

I thought the “third box” was the ballot or jury box?
Are you thinking of the “fourth box” the cartridge box?

  • irongrampa

I plead guilty to all counts by virtue of being an American.

  • Old Codger

How do I plead? Guilty as charged!

Now, whatcha gonna do about it?

  • Old Codger

“When small men begin to cast long shadows, it is a sure sign that the sun is setting”

Beware Small Men Who Cast Long Shadows!
“Who are these “small men”? I am sure we all know some. Many are motivated by personal greed and skilled in finding ways to justify action against anything affecting their personal gain or selfish ambition. They may act alone, or in concert with likeminded people. Collectively they can influence the structure of our society and divide people into those who use (for control or gain) and those who are used (most of us!).”

  • John Greer

I guess it’s time to climb onto my soapbox.
I don’t listen to the climate change “theorists”. I go directly to the facts.
    1) According to the Greenland ice core data there have been three global warming events prior to the present roughly coincident to the Minoan civilization, the Roman civilization, and the Medieval periods. These were almost exactly 1200 years apart and we are right on schedule. So unless you believe the Minoans, the Romans, and the Vikings were on par with us for generating carbon dioxide, the Climate Change advocates are blatantly guilty of the Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc logical fallacy.
    2) The Arctic Ocean ice pack volume is directly related to ocean salinity, not temperature, and in spite of all the furor generated about Greenland melting, the real problem is that the ice melt from the last remnants of the last glacial period are just about gone. The pack ice is doomed to disappear entirely soon and it’s not do to warming.
    Here is the kicker though.
None of these wackos have considered what happens when that pack ice IS gone.
The North American continental ice sheet (last go-round) grew from zero to two MILES thick as far south as Chicago in only eighty thousand years.
That averages to about an inch of ice a year.
Yes, during a glacial period it gets cold, but where does the moisture for all that snow come from?
Ask any resident of Buffalo, New York where their snow comes from and they will tell you it comes from the open water of the Lakes.
So what happens when the entire Arctic Ocean is open water for much of the year? What happens when the tropical water of the Gulf Stream extends the open season? What happens to the ocean salinity when huge quantities of water evaporate to be deposited permanently in the form of snow and ice on North America and Northern Europe? What happens when that snow reflects sunlight back into space?
If you think we have refugee problems now, just reflect on where we are going to put the populations that once resided north of the Missouri, Ohio, and Rhine rivers.

    • B Woodman

Does eon’s post above on “solar maunder minimum” play into this?
Or do we not have enough scientific evidence at this point?

  • B Woodman

Boris and Natasha’s “Mr Big” comes to mind.
Time for laughter as a weapon against the ProgLibTards.
Educate yourselves well, so that you can take the LibTard’s words, and twist them, the same as they have done to conservatives, and laugh at the ProgLibTards. The ProgLibtards take themselves SOOO seriously, they hate laughter at their sacred selves.
