The left hemisphere has to do with reasoning and judgment. The right hemisphere is oriented toward independence and creativity. See ‘Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain’ for more about that.
The problem of the Leftieres is that they have been taught = no, ordered! — ORDERED to squelch the part of the brain that supports independent thinking, which is why so many dictatorships killed off their advanced thinkers (Chinese empire, USSR, Nazis, etc.) and finally sank under the weight of their own stupidity and fear of independent ideas. State-approved literature, art, dance, etc. Anything outside that got the executioner’s axes, sword or rifles, or even state-ordered suicide. Unfortunately for those very stupid rulers, many independent thinkers also escaped those fates.
For example, as a Sophist, Socrates was accused of being a ‘natural’ philosopher, and impiety, not believing in the gods approved the the State and corrupting the youth of Athens by inventing other deities, among other things. Rather than give in to the State’s demands to conform, he drank the hemlock.
Skye may or may not find being a free thinker comfortable. If it becomes too intensely intimidating, she may go over the hill, back to the ‘Zone of Herdthink’. Not saying she’d stay there. Freedom, while a wonderful thing, can be quite frightening to those whose thinking has been done for them.

The psychological term is “pendular shift”. Skye was hardcore Left, but the realizations she’s had prevent her from returning to her old self. So she “gets religion” and shifts to hardcore Right.

That is of course a slightly edited and repurposed version of part of Moody Blues Late Lament epilogue poem on Nights in White Satin…to me one of the most beautiful and deeply introspective verses ever.
I should have said “Lonely (wo)man cries for love” for that is much of what is missing from Skye’s rebirth as a person of logic and reason. She desperately needs to be loved and laid by the “right” man.
