Mari or Mia in a Batgirl suit might be pretty hot.

I figured Javier for the “My name is Javier Thomas, and yes, I am Ironman” speech.

Some interesting possibilities for Pepper Potts.

    JohninMd.(HELP!)

Bruce Wayne could afford to throw R&D $$$ at Batman’s problems til they went away. Whose financing Xavier’s lab time, Don Portago or Pop Thomas? Or are Xav’s patents financing operations?

      JohninMD,

One does not finance a Javier Thomas. One invests in a Javier Thomas and sits back and collect the mailbox money.

I’m still waiting for those “future infantryman” suits they’ve been promising for thirty years but never delivering to the troops.

So far, all I’m seeing is M4s with so many M1917 rails you have to wear gloves to avoid stitches just from touching the forearm.

I’m not a big fan of hanging things off of weapons to break, run out of batteries, or get caught up on something when you need to move them the fastest.
Removing the carrying handle from the C7 along with the iron sights and storing the ’emergency’ rear sight in the butt and a folding front one was something I found very uncomfortable.
We had the same setup with our rifles in a different organization, some twit in Ottawa who’d probably never even shot one thought the Elcan scopes in the brochure came with the rifle and we ended up with the folding front sight and detachable rear one as issue. Accuracy was off by a good 30-40%, we had a lot of failures on requalification and people were w2ashed out of basic training due to it but nobody would admit it was a bad decision and no manager was ever helkd responsible.
Same with our sidearms, H&K P2000’s. Very nice, I don’t care much for autos but I liked this one and it was as ‘idiot proof’ as a revolver, maybe moreso, except nobody took the idiots in Nat’l HQ into account. The adjustable trigger was set so high that I very literally needed a two-handed grip and two fingers to press it with any degree of accuracy. Once again, a lot of people had difficuklty requalifying and a lot of potentially very good Officers were washed out when they couldn’t qualify with it. The part where yanking so hard on the trifgger pulled the sights off target and drastically increased the chance of a stray shot hitting something unintended didn’t seem to register with the top brass, even after Labour Code violations for unsafe equipment were filed. As in all things, the KISS principle applies, particularly in something you might be held liable in court for using to defend yourself or others.

People forget that the reason for that weird top carry handle on the AR-10 and AR-15 was to keep everyone’s hands away from the pistol grip and trigger when unassing a chopper or APC. It might have looked weird but it did cut down the frequency of AD’s when debussing.

I understand that ADs are now back up to Thompson or M3 “Grease Gun” frequency. Because there’s no good way to hold the M4 when exiting except by the pistol grip, even when slung tactically.

        One slip and BANG.

In my own 40 year career experience entailing many thousands of firearm “touches”, ain’t no such thing as an AD…every single one (including my own two) are ND’s. Do you have any specific detailed instances of the former?

Some years back there was a UTube video that demonstrated very small drones that carried a very small explosive charge. They could use photo recognition to isolate a target, attack aiming for the head of the target, and then explode on contact. Almost always fatal. The only defense was to hide so effectively that the drone could not find you and then wait until it ran out of power and crashed. Talk about terror …

Terror is the future of warfare. (As though that wasn’t always the case.)
An ordinary 155mm artillery shell costs north of $200 and may or may not accomplish something useful at the terminal end.
Drones OTOH can be almost as cheap, use things like grenades to do the ‘splody thing and return for a refill.
That grenade could just as easily be a smart mine, or a det charge to destroy mines or even a strobe to guide traffic safely through a minefield.
And the one thing I haven’t seen yet is a drone armed with a rifle that could either attack from the air or land during an artillery barrage to play wak-a-mole when the bad guys crawl out from cover.

Equip a “hobbyist” drone with a 9mm Glock with one of those ‘chips’ gang-bangers are so fond of and a rifle-armed one might not be necessary.
