    Key phrase being,

“…morons that elites will try to use to rob…”

Correct. If those stupid sheep will smother themselves to obey us, what else will they do…will they kill for us?

But we already know the answer to that don’t we?

    • Henry

We already know they’ll snitch for them.

    • President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman

      Otherwise known as “useful idiots”.

  • NotYetInACamp

    Robbers steal accumulated capital.
Our greatest accumulated capital are our human rights given to us by God.
Our Republic is our public means of protecting that accumulated capital from theft. I can trace robbers engaging in asymmetric and hot war to steal that Republic and our valuable accumulated capital of human rights since the time when our capital was formed in revolution.
The Chinese, the Democrats, and the rest who would destroy our accumulated capital of God given rights as codified in our Republic are but the latest ones in that long term nonstop war against us. To fundamentally change is to destroy.
They won’t, if we can keep it.

    • JTC

Bringing one to reflect on just how it was kept before.

Will they kill us? Yes, if we don’t kill them first. But not until no other response is left, or until we see the whites of their eyes, or something. Not easy.

  • Kafiroon

A bit of rope and a box or lamp post does a lot to keep “robbers” of any stripe from becoming too prevalent.

  • Little-Acorn

Will masks 100% protect you from Covid? No.

Will they protect you 50% Yes.

Is 50% enough to make it a good idea to wear them?

IMHO yes. Your opinion is up to you.

    • William Henry

So…. are you a Karen or Karl?

    • Lyle

Is my opinion up to me? Really? Or should I be forced into compliance under threats of fines and jail sentences, resulting in my inability to make an honest living?

I have no problem with the fearful among us demonstrating to the public their irrational fear, and their willing susceptibility to mass deception, by wearing a mask. It’s pathetic, sure, but I have no desire to force them to stop. Just don’t force your germophobia onto others, making us reluctantly pretend to be one of you, because at some point your support for the injustice of mass coercion is going to be reflected back onto you. That’s all. Get it?

You can drop out of society all together if you’re afraid to be near other people and their icky germs, and stay away from me all you want, and we’ll both be content with that.

But that’s not the way the left operates. They CAN NOT tolerate liberty, even if it’s a thousand and miles away and has no tangible effect on them. Come in to my sphere and tell me I have to do this or refrain from that however, and we’ll have a problem. See?

So don’t pretend to be all “live and let live” unless you truly mean it, because we ALL know that’s not now this works with the Romish, authoritarian “left”. And if you’re one of them, take your fake innocence play-act and peddle it somewhere else, ’cause I’m not buying it.

    • Henry

Sure, you’d buy condoms on that basis, wouldn’t you?

(I mean you, Little Acorn, not the indefinite you.)

    • Doug Hensley

You got it. A pandemic is a chain reaction. Anything that slows the spread helps push it toward below self-sustaining.

It isn’t so much that the mask protects you, though it’s better than nothing. It’s that it protects the others in case you are an asymptomatic spreader and don’t know it.

    • Lyle

My comment to Little Acorn was deleted by the host, but it started out with “Is it really up to me? Or would you prefer I be forced into compliance with your germophobia?

I see no reason why the comment needed to be deleted, as it consisted of nothing more than a challenge to face the truth.

Apparently I’m not welcome here. Bye.

      • JTC

Your comment is there Lyle, time-stamped 1:47 am…

Could it have been diverted to moderation before appearing? Based on your comment history is that unreasonable?

You write well. I wish you could ease up on the whole “everything is irrelevant because it’s all pre-ordained” thing. I mean everything is, but only One knows all of the when and why stuff…and it’s up to us to play it out the best we can. Is anything God does easy to understand? Is it our place to understand?

  • William Henry

And when you point this out to people about what’s wrote on the box, they look at you like retarded sock puppets…much like our future president who should be in a nursing home drooling and shitting his depends.

    • NotYetInACamp

Do you believe you lying eyes. or the AUTHORITIES?

  • Lyle

Col. Jeff Cooper once declared that anyone wearing a mask is a legitimate target.

    • John M.

I’m 74 years old… I never thought I would see the day where a bank not only allows someone to wear a mask, they REQUIRE it! Lord help us!

      • John

The big debate on who should get the inoculations first should center on who has the most contact with the public.
Top of the list should be bank tellers and let the public take their chances unmasked.

      • President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman

The CU that I go to has the signs on the doors, but they don’t force the issue. So I don’t wear a mask.

  • John M.

I have read that the only we will defeat Covid-19 is through “Herd Immunity,” the point where there are so many of us that are immune to the disease, it can’t get a foothold in the population.

At the same time, we are being ordered (ORDERED!) to stay at home, stay at a distance from each other, and to wear masks in public.

How will we ever achieve Herd Immunity that way? Do the powers-that-be really think the vaccines will do it? That’s NOT how it works!

WE’RE BEING PLAYED FOR FOOLS, and too many are falling for it…

    • NotYetInACamp

No measles parties for the kids anymore. Nor covid-19. Some had them on their own.

      • John

Covid parties for kids should have been mandated from the beginning.

    • John

Any rational consideration of the situation would dictate _against_ lockdowns. From the beginning our biggest mortality and transmission figures were from people trapped in ships where they couldn’t escape from each other, and now they want us to confine ourselves to our houses where it has been show to maximize transmissibility?

  • Hardball

No shoes. No mask. No Service.

No shirt is required on Skye, Jan, et al

    • Bill G

Many of such signs do not require pants.
      Just sayin’

    • Punta Gorda

Related… about 3 years ago I spotted a sign that stated “No shirt, no shoes, no pants, no service.”

Evidently they had an issue with people strolling in wearing just underwear.

      • Henry

Florida Man, for one, wears a LOT of bathing suits.

  • Browncoat

“People in masks are not to be trusted.” Fezzik

  • TBeholder

They won’t, duh. Masks protect others from being infected by the wearer. Which is a good idea, in that they still can reduce infection rate a lot, but is a much cheaper and less invasive approach than trying to lock up in quarantine everyone who MIGHT be infected.

It’s just that for some reason nothing remains sane and efficient when the leftists handle it in their own peculiar way.

    • MasterDiver

“Masks protect others from being infected by the wearer.”
No, they don’t. Basic masks allow unfiltered exhaled air to escape around the edges (And fogging you glasses). The fancier ones have an exhaust valve which allow exhaled air an easy, direct path. Masks and respirators are meant to protect the wearer from inhaling nasty stuff, they don’t do VERY little to protect others. And even the best fabric masks are a joke. It takes a full-face mask providing eye as well as respiratory protection, using a sophisticated military-grade filter the size of a hockey puck. And even those have an unfiltered exhaust. As someone put it, wearing a cloth mask to stop a virus is like using a chain link fence to stop gnats.

      Zar Belk!

      • Bill G

I’ve worked in an MSA full face respirator. After passing a mask-fit test, and a pulmonary function test. N-95 masks might do a little something, but we peasants do not have access to those. What we are being told me must wear, because of SCIENCE!, is a joke.

        • Punta Gorda

          DING!

          Bill gets it.

      • My Way or -->

The only thing the masks have done for me is make my cold more bodaciously annoying than it would normally be. So instead of just sneezing, I have sneezing fits that would scare the hair off a cat. Thanks, Xi Jinping, for sharing your shit with the rest of the world.

On the news this morning, and take it seriously: there is a new strain of CV-19 in the UK, a mutation of the original strain, and Boris the Badenough has put people right back on full lockdown over it.

Also, here in the good ol’ USofA, two women with NO history of allergies have had allergic reactions to the Pfizer CV19 vaccine, so be aware of this.

      • Capn Jack

        You nailed it Master Diver.

    • John

What can you expect from people who, almost by definition, are neither sane nor efficient?

  • President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman

Sadly, my wife has become a Karen. She nags me into wearing a mask wherever we go, because……reasons. I try to not wear a mask in as many places as I can get away with it. But some places (COSTCO) won’t even let you in without a mask on. (sigh…….)
I have a mask modeled after the Medieval plague mask. On one side I have written “COVID IS NOT THE PLAGUE”. I’m pondering what to put on the other side. Maybe MASKS PREVENT HERD IMMUNITY. Or possibly QUARANTINE THE SICK, NOT THE HEALTHY.

    • Henry

      Mine just says HEALTH THEATRE.

      • PaulS

        “Mask Or Aid” 😉

    • Bill G

I’m in (upstate) New York, and a mask is required in any public building. My mask says that it is as useless as our governor.
Granted, I’m a stay-at-home type, and not out much, but I’ve had only positive comments on it.

    • My Way or -->

I didn’t realize that the Steam Punk crowd had taken over that epic costume. The Plague Doctor get up is too cool for words.

  • Precision270

At 90% of places that “require” masks around here. I just ignore the sign and only get grief from the occasional Karen. At the other 10% of places, I pull the ADA exemption card.
At about 80% of those places they nod and allow me to continue on. At the other 20% Most get a slight polite brief on ADA, Hippa and an automatic guilty until proven innocent lawsuit for $10k as provided by ADA AND if I wear a mask you will be cleaning up blood from my head hitting the floor in about 4-5 minutes.
Only ONCE has that not passed muster. And in that case, the store manager and assistant manager brought me product to examine for 1.5 hours while they also brought me water and accomodated my reasonable needs. I ended up making a purchase and the manager asked if I would be back any time soon? Not sure, why? I think you might just slip by us next time.

  • Bill G

At this point in time, the worst robbers are the ones making the requirements for masks. And they don’t wear them.

  • Wood

It’s a small thing really, but unless we’re talking about people who are truly performing at exceptional levels, at the top of their game, I read “elite” in airquotes. Not one of the these people referenced, be they “journalists”, apparatchiks, government functionaries, ivy leaguers, etc. can be honestly called “elite”. The term is so overused as to be laughable. I’ll step off my soap box now…

    • Norm

It’s kind of a self appropriated title. They may act as if they are some kind of elite, but everyone else knows better.

    • John

      No need.
There are, grossly speaking, two types of “elite”.
Those who have earned the title and those who had the title bought for them by their families.
Although the two often overlap, it is the former who have my respect.
The overlaps will have to work much harder to prove their worth.

      • Punta Gorda

        Spoiler alert…

        They’re not.

    • JTC

My comment to that link when you posted it in yesterday’s ‘toon…

      “Post post-modernism.

That would indeed be a Yuge accomplishment.“

Like post-apocalypse, but with at least the seeds of a Republic left for re-birth, re-growth, and re-generation…

Or, must we separate now, to save our seeds yes, but perchance to save ourselves and our children, and our Republic; at a great cost in blood and treasure and so much else…but at great savings of freedom, and self-determination, and patriotism?

    • Halley

We who understand these things are not alone, though it mostly seems so. That’s yuge.

  • DogByte6RER

I believe Ayn Rand used the word “looters” to also describe these globalist political class robbers. It was a combination of looters and moochers taking down the producers …

    Who is John Galt?

  • MAJ Arkay

I think the masks are nothing but theater, but I’m not particularly bothered to wear one right now. Why? Because no one can see me sneering at them, they think I’m one of them (excellent cover, by the way), and even when I’m wearing my green mask that says, “Front Toward Enemy,” I get nothing but thumbs up (isn’t that somehow racist these days?) and a request for where I got said mask.

At the moment, I’m wearing Christmas theme masks. Not sure what I’ll wear after Christmas, other than the FTE mask, but one thing is certain: They only think they’re winning, while we just waltz in right in front of them.

    • JTC

Acquiescence to their control (make no mistake, masks are about control and only control) is somehow luring them into a trap?

Not seeing it. Not wearing it. Of course I am in quasi-free America with no gov requirements but some businesses post their signs, but with my big biker-looking ass in a flag shirt and KAG cap and eye contact, no one has ever said a word.

    • LowKey

I normally don’t wear a mask, but I anticipate a time in the near future where I will do so religiously, and change them often.

They’ve got to play merry hell with facial recognition software…..glad the left has normalized them for us already.

      • JTC

I’m sure the Javelon Corp. will have a “facial spatial jammer“ on the market by that time to save us from reverting to virtual facial armor. 🙂

    • Henry

“nothing but thumbs up (isn’t that somehow racist these days?)”

No, the OK sign is racist. Thumbs up is sexist. Hands up is anti-racist. Giving him your wallet and watch is the most anti-racist of all.

  • Kafiroon

So. Anyone have any smart ideas?

    • Kafiroon

I just tried three times to post a comment here using different services,
and it never showed, even for moderation or “posting too fast”.
      Is Akismet editing us, Servers?

    • Punta Gorda

“So. Anyone have any smart ideas?”

Only that ice cold gingerale makes a great chaser for Tennessee whiskey.

  • Kafiroon

    Got IT!
I tried a test using a web site address for tracking information of things occurring around the world and it just disappeared again.

    • Kafiroon

      Forth try, slightly edited.
Yesterday there were a few posts that pointed out possible reasons we are in this farce theater. Mainly, our self anointed betters/wannabe dictators, are trying to “Do As We Tell You” to have control over us.
In April, the Chinese Covid death toll was about 8,500/day. Masks were supposed to be worn by everyone about then. In Dec., so far the peak is about 13,700/day.

I do not think wearing a mask means what it is assumed to mean.

      • Kafiroon

        AND the website link disappeared.
Both these comments went through multiple “your posting to fast” routines. I am a turtle typing w/2 fingers.

        • JTC

And of course the OMYGODWEREALLGONNADIE! spread of “cases” is the best thing that can happen among younger healthier citizens…combined with the vaccines (or not if you don’t trust that shut), the herd immunity can more quickly reach the 40% or so needed to reach the natural resistance threshold…

Unless you are old and/or sick and susceptible take that damn mask off every chance you get.

      • JTC

The reported covid death toll is bullshit….essentially the total deaths from everything else attributed to covid. More money/power that way.

        Always follow the money/power.

    • JTC

Yes we know what “tool” got used on you don’t we Candy Barr?

      • Henry

Sorry, not sorry. Leaving, not leaving. What a prince.

    • John M.

Barr is just another Swamp Rat – President Trump should have filled his cabinet with people from WAY outside “the Beltway” instead of thinking he could trust some of them.

  • Robbers wear masks, but so does The Lone Ranger.

      • Pamela

Please include Zoro and Puss in Boots, Best Dance off in Any Movie.

      • Henry

Batman is old news. All the Batsignal means now is
        晚餐准备好了.

    • My Way or -->

You left out Green Lantern, and Green Arrow and Speedy.

I had a stash of comics that could have put me through college and my mother threw them out. She said they were trash. She retracted that some time later when I showed her the then current price on an original Batman comic for collectors. I told her she owed me money, which annoyed her.

No, I never forgave her for that. It was my stuff, paid for with my own money that I earned raking leaves.

    • JTC

So while we’re listing all the good guys in masks let us not forget FUCKING CLOWNS!!!

I hate those evil p’s of s behind their painted-on masks hiding their dark evil hearts and windows to their black souls…

      • Kafiroon

There are shotguns to fix that.
Emmit Kelly was the Only clown I ever liked. Saw him when i was a young’un a century or two ago.

        • JTC

True, a good gauge is the perfect tool for offing clowns, zombies, and various other undead. Messy though, don’t think they have blood but all that nasty makeup and shit…

  • WOW!
By the time I got to the bottom of the comments I had to back and re-read the toon.

On the lighter side-There is a card game called Virtue Signal and it is actually fun. The expansion set to the game is called: Virtue Signal: Deplorables and it is coming out soon, if it hasn’t already.

  • JTC

    So Joe got his shot.

Ironic if he croaked from that of all his maladies…would they call it covid or bad vax or natural causes or what?

Social justice I can get behind.

    • MasterDiver

They’d say it was Trump’s fault.

      Zar Belk!

    • Henry

If Joe dies, it will be of Systemic Racism. Madama Lazonga calls it.
