    Speaking of halfrican, Bobo is a perfect candidate for the re-patriating program mentioned at the end of yesterdays’ ‘toon. If he lived (and you know his fullrican brothers would not respond well to his smarmy, effete, empty vessel of a self), he would return here at the end of those three years with a new perspective and appreciation for the Republic he spent his life trying to destroy…and he’d still have at least a year of Trump to study how it’s done.

    And responding to NYIAC’s final comment there that the thugism of a Chicago or Detroit is a CIA creation exported to the rest of the world, I didn’t get this in fast enough:

    “I think the opposite. It’s imported from it. Our gang culture here is wholly a construct of and protection racket for, the mystical culture of the elites, adopted wholecloth from their ancients. CIA and others are trainers and enablers.

    It will be a process, but I believe cutting the head off that snake and denying further infiltration, has a chance of turning that dispossessed destructive culture into a creative and productive force, as integrated into or as separated from society as they choose, as long as they do no harm to it.

    • November 21, 2016 at 10:25 pm

      Well. Some of it did come from Mexico. Like Los Zetas. It was imported to our Mexican invaded areas. Thugs there adopted the mannerisms and criminal activities. Much was exported across Central and South America by deporting illegal alien invaders into it. Then it has come back. The gangs were knocked down here with efficient enforcement activity. Then obama opened the gates of youths of any age to flood in and the gangs replenished ther membership and have moved into more areas where the invading army has been coyoteed by the USA Customs Coyote Job Finishing team and The Lutheran Criminal empowerment Group, and the catholic Scum criminal murder rapist and destroyer Team. So we now have a big problem grown by Obama, where before it was a shrinking problem. (Like when you think of Skye’s mind.)
      So again. Thank you Obama. That should get you life easy in a SuperMax.

      Rap music was changed from its origins as it was effected and turned into cop killer, bitch raper, bitch smacking, drug selling, etc music and spread across the USA (you were fired if you did not spin it) and out to the waiting world. So the conspiracy theorists (plan examiners) say.

      • November 22, 2016 at 12:30 am

        No disagreement there, except as to cause and effect.

        The violent entitlement culture certainly was hatched and trained here, incubated south of the border, and reintroduced, welcomed, and protected by the forces you mentioned (don’t forget that and “the wall” was DT’s first big immigration hit). These are the ground troops and enforcers.

        But why and in pursuit of what? We only have to realize the godhead of it all, even back to the 60’s and the first incursion of the muslim brotherhood into a receptive American counterculture, is the same as it ever was, but emboldened and embiggened and ready for the big offensive.

        Trump realized that, and responded with the plan as presented in case law by you in your missive to him, that may save us from the centuries-old quest to kill and/or dominate us all. Stop immigration of islamists. Stop the deals and support and wars that have funded, trained, and enabled them to destroy us. Kill the roots, as it were, and the adherents and sycophants among us will wither as well, as will the overwhelming invading forces from our own continent, as the Trump train shuts down the gravy train.

      • November 22, 2016 at 12:44 am

        So, neither of you gives any credence to the Irish gangs in New York, or the Zoot Suiters in the 1940s in L.A.? Or the Black Panthers in the 1960s? Or Hell’s Angels and their offshoots?
        The black gangs in Chicago in the 1960s and 1970s were in control of everything until the el Rukhns were dismantled when Jeff Fort was arrested and jailed.
        That let the Latin Kings and other Latino gangs move in. Now, it’s completely out of control. There are places in Gary, IN, where the cops won’t go, ditto a city in Texas.
        None of this is new. And yeah, you can blame part of it on Capone and the Mob, because they set the standard a long time ago. When they were squelched, it left a vacuum and guess who moved in? Blacks, Latinos then their successors, never mind the Chinese tong. None of it is new, and unless you have a very large disposal facility, it won’t go away.

      • November 22, 2016 at 2:03 am

        Common criminals, the lot of them…they’ve always been and will always be. But one of these is different than the others.

        The 60’s BP’s that you lump with various semi-organized crime are the “first muslim incursion” I mentioned above…they weren’t just thugs, they were converts, changing their religions, their names, their goals and their fealty to a greater cause.

        But they were ahead of their time. It’s only in the last few decades that there has been enough support not just on the streets but in halls of power, to arm and equip them to spread their scourge over Europe and into the US, to destroy us from within and to enslave us…and it damn near worked.

      Old Codger

      JTC, sorry to say but neither hypothesis – thugism imported or exported – is valid. The plain fact is that thugism is endemic in our species. I strongly suspect there were gangs in the first city. There is no way to stop it and the police cannot and have no duty to protect us. It is our own responsibility to protect ourselves. Husbands and Fathers have a duty before Creator God to defend hearth and home; kith and kin.

      • November 22, 2016 at 8:59 am

        Correct. “Gangs” working on the Pyramids spent their spare time fighting with each other using their tools (chisels and hammers).

        Later, in Rome and especially the Byzantine (Eastern) Roman Empire, gangs of “blues” and “greens”, led by monks, terrorized cities from Constantinople to Alexandria. See In The Heart Of Darkness and Destiny’s Shield by Eric Flint and David Drake for an accurate, if fictional, account of the era. NB; The “Nika” riot in Constantinople, as described in ITHOD, actually happened; see Gibbon.

        In the Middle Ages, towns were few and far between. The thugs were the “robber barons”. While progressives used to use this term to apply to anyone in private business (I’m surprised it hasn’t been used on the President-Elect yet), the original meaning was a local lord who exacted “tolls” from any traveler passing through his lands, even on the King’s Road.

        For a minstrel or jongleur (who, as the equivalent of a news service, was supposed to get free passage) it might be a performance at dinner. For a merchant, it could well be half his purse- or if he had a comely daughter or wife, her “service” to the baron for however long the baron felt like it. In whatever way he wanted- in bed, in the dungeon, or both. Object lesson in extremes; Gills de Rais, who only got attention when he started “taking” the daughters and sons of other nobles.

        People don’t realize what a huge difference in society gunpowder made in the West. (NB again; Most progressives who long for a “Scarborough Fair” life would never survive in the era; ask any member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, few of whom are “progressives”.)

        Moving on, in the large American cities post-1800 prior to the Italian mobs arriving, the Irish gangs (east coast) and Chinese triads (west coast) ruled. Ironically, the famed Irish Brigade at Antietam was composed mainly of young men who only a few weeks previously had been fighting, not on a battlefield, but in the streets of New York, Philadelphia, and etc.

        As for the triads (“daughter” groups of tongs), look up “highbinder San Francisco” and prepare to be surprised.

        Progressives like to talk about the “root causes” of crime and violence. They say , “jobs, discrimination, jobs, discrimination” like a mantra.

        The real “root cause” of crime is that some people;

        1. Don’t want to work for a living;

        2. Think the world owes them a living;

        3. Like getting drunk, getting high, etc.;

        4. Like hurting other people; and

        5. Don’t much like anybody not exactly like themselves.

        In fact, criminals are a lot like… progressives.

        Gee, what a coincidence.

        Speaking of thugs, was just in Germany for a low level trade conference. We were in the Central part of what was East Germany. Just below the surface of some very pleasant people was the collective breath release of Trumps win. When you are the welcoming mat for the Fulda gap Super Powers rattling swords will make you very very nervous.

        The Trump win and Putin’s congratulatory rhetoric has lowered fears. Now when asked about refugees it is only polite smiles but one can see the disenfranchised youth who are having their future displaced by invaders from the south east steeling up. The local invaders travel in groups of two or three sneering at everyone, very few invader women are out and about. There’s a war a brewing and it is going to come from the indigenous people protecting themselves. The government doesn’t represent their interests anymore (sound familiar).

        The realization that they only have two boxes will come too late for the political elites. Germany will go first and it will come from an organic response to the next Cologne massacre. I don’t think the Germans will stand still any longer especially if France pulls it head out and starts to deal with the problem.

        Yup indeed. While eon’s historical anthology of human avarice is interesting and instructive, it ends with a simple list of learned/created behaviors that are the effects and in no way the cause, of contemporary thuggery in America…in fact the immediate cause is listed there too, but not in the list; so-called progressivism (leftism) which whether darkly intentional or cluelessly accidental is directly responsible for all five of the characteristics on his list, and embody them themselves; lazy, self-entitled, irresponsible, masochistic racists/elitists…those lovely attributes are not limited to the thugs themselves. He does seem to acknowledge the difference in his piece downthread from last night, but even the elitist enablers are not at the root of this evil.

        Contemporary effects do go much deeper and wider than that, but as to the “Roots” cause of much of it as it applies to the last 20 or so years, more later, gotta go pretend to work for a bit.

    • November 21, 2016 at 11:54 pm

      People have gotten a crash course in real racism this year, between rapefugees in Europe and the likes of BLM and CAIR here. All their behavior boils down to the principle that their particular ethnicity (BLM) or belief system (Islam) makes them the only “real” humans and everybody else is at best a half-animal slave who will serve OR else. (Paging Dr. Moreau.)

      It was the culmination of not eight years, but almost thirty years of the “enlightened elite'” riding high, wide and handsome at everyone else’s expense. They believed that as long as their “social engineering” kept them on top and kept their little enclaves as Star Trekky kingdoms of the “superior”, what happened to all those grotty peasants was unimportant except for its entertainment value.

      Unfortunately, like the King of Id, they failed to realize that the phrase “The peasants are revolting!” has a double meaning. And that their preferred construction was not the same as that of said “peasants”.

      Those “peasant revolts” are spreading. France looks like it will be next, unless Italy beats her to it. Germany will likely follow, leaving Belgium and Spain all alone in the night.

      It would be fascinating if Mexico had one- a real one, as opposed to the faux changes of hidalgo rulers they’ve had for the last 144 years since the death of Benito Juarez.

      Well, the old Chinese curse says, “May you live in interesting times”.

    I’m just getting in this evening and catching up on the strip. Love the artwork and especially the coffee theme. I still remember fondly my first and only time ordering coffee in a Starbucks when I told the clerk “what do you have that’s equivalent to original Maxwell House?” She was not pleased. 😉

    On another note, anyone have any thoughts on the big announcement today from the Trump folks about not pursuing further investigation of the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation? I personally think it’s a big mistake. In fact, I’d call it YUGE.

    We either have rule of law or we don’t, and any pretense that we do is already hanging by a thread. If Trump fails to follow through on at least allowing a full investigation to bring the truth and facts of their crimes to light, he’s effectively acknowledging and acquiescing to a double-standard of law – one for the privileged elites and another for us serfs. He can pardon Hillary later if he doesn’t want her to suffer more, but the truth needs to come out.
