Perspective indeed! When the surveillance state can track our every focus of our eyes (Minority Report), we are really screwed. Can we possibly see an app someday that is titled “Track my focus” that will be deadly to relationships.

No, really. Imagine you read about something like this… in a ⅩⅧ century book. If this mental experiment is immediately followed by blinking, chuckling or other expressions of amused incomprehension, you do have some perspective.

Recessions are hard to see when they are just beginning and finally ending. They are only clear when you are right in the middle of them. The same thing is true of revolutions. You and I can be red flagged and persecuted because we believe that 5 year olds should not be attending drag queen parties.

Biden is clearly a puppet. We don’t even know which people are running this country. We do know that they are very rich. If they lose 90% of their wealth they will still be very rich. The population of the earth doubles every 50 years. That is unsustainable. They know that.

    Chris,

The British were defeated at Concord. The British actually won at Lexington.

Hopefully, the supporters of the current administration will be defeated this November.

After Concord (not Lexington) the British regulars withdrew back to Arlington, not to the ships. At Arlington the British were joined by a large number of reinforcements. They then withdrew in an organized fashion to Boston. The British regulars continued to remain in Boston. They did not withdraw onto their ships. They did use boats to move from Cambridge to Boston, but this was standard transportation.

The battles of Lexington and Concord were on the same day. Lexington was first and the militia scattered when the British opened fire. The British then advanced to Concord where they were defeated by the militia at the “North Bridge” in Concord.

The town where I live is “big” into the history of this fight because the leader of the town militia was the first militia officer to die at the engagement at the “North Bridge”.

Overall the day was a success for the militia. The sub-component of the Battle of Lexington was not a success. It was a success after the Battle of Concord. Although there were a few minor skirmishes during the retreat that the British regulars did win.

Most people do not realize this, but when the British regulars were looking for “guns” it was cannon that they sought to grab, not muskets. So the current administration wishes to disarm citizens more than the British did.

    https://www.ted.com/talks/van_jones_what_if_a_us_presidential_candidate_refuses_to_concede_after_an_election

One of my favorite proud communists addressed issues that exonerate the President and many others accused by the show trial mavens and the various other tools (fools) of the king.
Van Jones argues from the point of what his allies needed to do to win in 2020. The issues there have been know for a long time. Certain 1800’s Presidential elections had enough of this happen that eventually the US Congress passed Presidential Elector laws to try to ensure the turmoil did not happen again.
    It did.
Bold faced straight up lying about what was going on has been a major part of the democrat means of attacking any search or admission of truth in what the Republican view and presentations have been.

The Democrats have been in the denial of a fair election, lies, and that elections were fraudulent from the day Trump announced his candidacy through his election, and then during every day of his term. Hillary had been told to never accept a Trump victory and to not concede. It was only the massive voter turn out that so overwhelmed the Democrat fraud efforts that won the day for the voters’ choice of Donald Trump.
When actual real live voters again overwhelmed the massively increased fraud and unconstitutional votes to elect President Trump again, the Democrat cult and loyalists and allies had to put in place another even greater massive vote fraud effort.
The CHANGING OF PRESIDENTIAL ELECTOR LAWS by the US CONGRESS does not change or overrule the US Constitution. Any law by Congress overruling the power the sates have by empowerment by the US Constitution are unconstitutional. This includes any laws passed in the 1800’s to avoid a crisis then and in the future. Custom does not invalidate or overrule the US Constitution.
That is the same with state constitutions. A county laws concerning the recall of county commissioners was empowered by a state constitution. State lawmakers were so upset and angered by the many recalls a few decades back that the state legislature passed a law that greatly limited the means of recalling all county commissioners for the entire state. They thought they preempted the Miami Dade County law. The difference is that Miami Dade County has a section of the Florida Constitution with rules only for Miami Dade County which empowered that county to make all laws concerning the elections of commissioners.
The governors, secretary of states, state attorney generals, state or county employees, everyone but the state legislators, were not empowered to make changes in the way Presidential Electors were selected. I spent days on the County Clerk and his office considering the individual signatures on the recall. I gave up correcting the high powered Downtown lawyers who had to make a statement eruption every now and then to prove their control. I then just discussed the actual issues and facts and law with the County Clerk by myself which resulted in the county Clerk having the law (as I explained it) to shut thee windbags pushing their agenda from prevailing. I argued the matter later in the Appellate Court and won. The Florida Supreme Court dismissed their appeal of the Appellate victory that the constitutionally empowered county law prevailed over the state law which was not constitutionally empowered.
Also Van Jones discusses the methods that he objected to in the constitution that needed to be changed. Many that Hillary couldn’t do. He spoke of democratic values demanding changes.
He also seemed o set up the attacks on Trump where Trump was seeking truth and honesty in the counting of the vote. Van Jones gave a warning about what to do for Democrats.
Trump needed to have taken some of the advice and done more than mainly advocate peaceful actions in his talks, such peaceful actions should have obtained a Constitutional result. Trump needed to have actually taken actions to exert at least some or any influence on the people at the capitol. The only way for that protest there to win was for it not to be hijacked by enemy government instigators and agents. The Oath Keepers and Proud Boys and others should have protected the Capitol Building so the pressure to make a true decision would have remained on Congress and the States. What happened is that Democrat and government operatives started and led the riot. The House Committee has control the information released or even looked at. They did show the fed operative give instructions to the first to breach the bicycle racks and severely injure the Capitol Police woman. That was the weakest point and the spark point of the actions that advanced the Democratic Party and RINO coup.
These officers were their brothers and sisters. Ray Epps and others are not. Recall the end of the movie V. The UK troops guarding the Parliament let the people through. One in

All Democrats seem to avoid the matter of what actually happened. The vote itself was unconstitutional in various states. Not even reaching the fraudulent ballots, those states needed to send the presidential delegate vote consideration back to heir state houses or to Congress for resolution. Van Jones discusses some of those issues. He considers an unconstitutional vote to be following the sacred principle of democracy, rather than what really happened, and more than the constitutional means of resolving these questions.
He considers the Constitutional methods to be problems.
He states many of the issues and his disagreement with the US Constitution.

    I rambled enough.
    For now.

As we near the end of this Father’s Day, and at the risk of a stern warning to tighten up from the host; reprinted and updated a bit from an old blog post…

    A Father’s Day remembrance…

My dad passed away almost thirty years ago…he was just sixty-five, but the damage done to his lungs from the smoking habit he picked up as a boy in WWII had him tethered to an oxygen generating machine and he was unable to leave his house for the last year of his life, even though he kicked the habit cold-turkey years before.

He was divorced and lived alone, so his five children took turns in that final year spending the night with him, preparing his middle of the night breathing treatment, trying to make him comfortable, talking with him and getting to know him better than we had during all those years he worked so hard to raise us and teach us.

He wasn’t a perfect man, or a perfect father, and he would spend some of his talks with us as we took our nightly turns, apologizing for what he thought were his failings…I’m glad I was able to tell him this: that there was never a day in my life -and believe me when I say I was an imperfect son- that I had any inkling of doubt of his love and devotion to me, or that he would give up his life for me in an instant. That to me is the very definition of success as a father, and I told him that if I could just leave my own three children with that knowledge, and the love and peace and security that it imbues, then I will consider myself a success.

It was my turn to take care of him the night that he died, and I was on the way from my Sebring home to his in Belle Glade by Lake Okeechobee, about a two hour drive, when a spell of difficult breathing caused his heart to overwork and give out…That was before everyone had cell phones, so my brothers and sisters waited for me at his house to give me the news, and even though we knew it would happen eventually, when it did it felt like being slammed in the chest by a truck. My sister and brother in law lived close and made it there in time so he didn’t die alone, but as hard as it would have been, I wish I could have been there when he left us.

I love you, Dad…I think of you, feel you in my heart, and have heard you in my mind all these years when I needed your help and was asking myself, WWDD (What Would Dad Do?)…and you answered. I can’t believe you’ve been gone nearly 30 years…but i know I will see you again someday. God bless you and keep you until then.

addendum, like this wasn’t already long enough…

I had forgotten that that Father’s Day in ’92 was Dad’s last, 30 years ago today, so we drove down to BG to see him. We had just bought this house a few months before, a nice place, and made a video (VHS tape!) of it for him…it made him visibly happy and proud that we all would be safe and secure when he was gone, like that’s all that really mattered to him, and I think it was which I understand because it’s about all that really matters to me too. The pic that my then 8yo son Eric made of him with his Ninja Turtle camera sitting smiling in his chair that day is the one that is on my bedside table so I still see him every day.

And I also, as I waller in my own memories, want to wish all y’all out there who are Dads and have Dads and had Dads (and like Chris, you still have them), all of God’s blessings going forward; Fathers are maybe the number one factor that is MIA in today’s families and if we don’t get that family factor back in kids’ lives, and get God back too, we may never crawl out of this hole that we have allowed our great Republic to crawl into…Happy Father’s Day to all!

      Thanks for that, JTC…

My father and I weren’t close which is a damned shame as he was a good man. My mother, unfortunately, is not as good. She’s a cerebral narcissist and played my father and I off against each other which is why I left home as soon as I finished high school at age 17.

On those rare occasions when I could get my father away from my mother long enough to talk, we connected well and on many levels. When I took early retirement in June 2020, I started working towards moving back to my home provinces for the summers with the hope of building a relationship with my father despite my mother… as well as with my sisters.

Alas, it was not to be… my father died suddenly and unexpectedly on January 1st 2021. I was in Texas and, due to Canada’s idiotic covid restrictions, I was not allowed to attend his funeral.

Birthdays and Father’s Day seem a bit bittersweet now.

Oh and my mother currently has all three of my sisters refusing to talk to each other. Some things never change.

Fantastic! You would think the news channels would be all over it – then again, Elon Musk is a pariah these days since he “came out” as a Republican.

Were they able to “soft land” all three first stages? I find it amazing that SpaceX worked the kinks out in about five years time when NASA never managed the feat all the way through Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and STS, along with all the unmanned missilery they performed. Once again, private enterprise triumphs over government bungling.

Which is funny, because he isn’t one. He’s cast one Republican vote in his life.

What he is is a Kennedy-era Democrat. And they hate him for it.
