How appropriate—both sides of this nastiness getting the opprobrium they deserve! A pox (literally)on all the Demorat warrens and their degraded denizens, and I pray the last few (0?) conservatives beat the plague outta town…

    • Second lensman

      Zero? I’m still here.
There was one particularly nasty homeless guy who smelled so bad that he literally parted humanity in the fin.dist. Like Moses at the sea. Whilst combing visible lice from his greasy locks. We constr. Workers wanted to throw him in the bay. This in the 70’s.

  • Pamela

SJW Frisco Bondage thing? Don’t they charge extra for that?

  • Bill M

May they wallow in the cesspool they have created.

  • Malatrope

The only comment I have here, Chris, is that Jan should know what “SJW” means. This is out of character.

  • noncom

Coming from the city that gave us nancy piglosi, why would it be a surprise….more insanity from the land of fruits and nuts….

  • CitizenOutkast

The problem is, leftists are a societal cancer. They will start hating what has become of the area because of their own voting records and policies, so they will move to a better area, which will end up being conservative. Then, having learned nothing because their pride is too great, they will end up voting for the same types of people and policies that destroyed the area they just left. They need to just leave.

    • H_B

Hence the term “locusts” being applied to them.

      • Perfection.

  • interventor

Decades of Democrat misuse have destroyed many of our great cities. What the Axis powers could not do and the Soviets dared not do, they have accomplished.

  • JTC

Why do I have much the same lack of empathy for SF as for Paree?

Oh, and either it is clever hidden commentary or the most self-unaware cluelessness I’ve ever seen (laying odds on the latter) that the douche letter writer Justin K’s personal website is justink.whatever…yes ju do, boy.

  • Ozymandias

Nothing new… I’ve had a problem with riffraff californicating Washington for years

    • Bill M

True and I’m afraid it’s too late to stop the slide into the pit.

  • Spin Drift

    West coast tsunami, anyone?

    • SteveInCO

And QUICKLY please, before more cancer cells metastasize.

In Colorado we had “Don’t Californicate Colorado” bumper stickers back in the 1970s. This is nothing new!

    • Immanuel Goldstein

Tsunami? Really? Have you no concern for the good people of California, Oregon and Washington state? I’ve hated San Francisco for years. I hated their egotism condescension, and totally unjustified assumption of intellectual superiority. I’ll stay in San Diego, thank you very much. A beautiful conservative city, home of the Navy, Marines and a biotech industry every bit as advanced as Silicon Valley.

      • Immanuel Goldstein

And the thing is, despite the fact that the guy is a jerk of the first order, he’s right. He just doesn’t get that it is people like him who brought the plague of bums and druggies on the city. They coddled them, encouraged them, and now they’ve utterly taken over. They’re like the subhuman inbred Islamic trash that got dumped into Europe.

        • JTC

“…like the subhuman inbred Islamic trash that got (invited) into Europe.”

Thus my reference to Paris above. They and their eurotrash brethren are the original SJW’s, whom the eloi adherents to the philosophies of zero, the beast, and the bern…and most especially those in the formerly grand San Fran, do so admire and do so want to be…and they’re getting their wish.

Guess they never heard or understood the concept of the law of unintended (if wholly predictable for anyone with at least two neurons firing) consequences.

          • interventor

Used to.visit Frisco when stationed at Ft Ord before I shipped out to Nam. Loved it despite the unwashed. Not so much, now.

    • H_B

But think of the poor, all-important Delta Smelt!

      • John Greer

True, although the Delta Smelt survived all of the past tsunamis, the flood of pollution washing off SF will surely kill them all.

        • Pamela

Don’t get me started on the Delta Smelt.
That fish has it so good.
Climate controlled environment with mood lighting.
          Gets artificially inseminated.
They found ONE smelt in the wild last year.
          All on our tax dollars!
All this is being done to Save the Delta.

  • B Woodman

I could not believe the hubris in that letter (rant). And the stoopidity. And the elitism. I was going to say “SJW”, but that doesn’t fit. . . this time.
This poor, poor (NOT!) asshole wants all the benefits of both socialism AND capitalism, without taking responsibility to fix any of the problems of either. Just shove it off on the mayor and the po-po.

I especially loved the bit about buying $20 (!) tickets to the Kabuki Theater (irony!) and the entire! theater! being chased out by a homeless man who wandered in (who allowed him into the paying customer area?), opened the exit door, and took off his shirt. Oh! The horrors! Pass the smelling salts and lead me to the fainting couch! I have a case of the vapors!
Couldn’t a MAN have just gently tossed the bum out, and then closed the exit door? Apparently there were no MEN in that theater that night.

I just came back from a visit to my son (Marine) stationed in San Diego. A nice place to visit. Even in February, warm weather, nice beaches, good food. But what spoiled any desire to live there in Kalifornia was the knowledge of the state politics, the price of gas was $1 over what I pay locally in Utah, and the homeless people EVERYWHERE. Nothing overtly obnoxious, just an ever presence.
To conclude: I LOVE IT when the Libtards get a sample of their own arrogance and ignorance.

    • The truth! It burnnzzzz!!!!11!!

    • S Hooks

This poor, poor (NOT!) asshole wants all the benefits of both socialism AND capitalism, without taking responsibility to fix any of the problems of either.

In other words, a perfect Bernie Sanders voter. 😉

      • Bill M

And completely clueless as to cause and effect.

  • Pete231

Never underestimate the self-righteousness of unproductive people. Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity. – MLK,Jr. –

  • Having now read the linked article, SMDH. Who’s fault is this insanity? Eh? One doesn’t know whether to use who’s or whose here.

    • norm

“Who’s” is short for “who is”, so whose is appropriate here.

  • If one does not know what sJW means, then it might be thought of as “Single Jewish Woman” as in “SJW ISO SJM Purpose matrimony”
which does not fit the text of this strip. Why would she think it a type of bondage? Of course, given the reputation of San Francisco, they would have to leave to find their goal.

    • I’m sure most, if not all, of us know. But if you don’t, it’s “Social Justice Warrior”. And it’s just as much bullshit as it sounds. Social Justice is: you work for it, you earn it, you keep it. You provide a good or service I need/want, I’ll buy it from you. You have now earned your own income.

      • B Woodman

        cmblake6,
EQUAL Justice is: you work for it, you earn it, you keep it.
SOCIAL Justice is: you work for it, you earn it, the government takes it and gives it to a member of the entitlement welfare class.

        • I do get confused with Newspeak.

          • B Woodman

S’Ok, my pleasure, no problem. Just part of my job to gently guide and educate (and be guided and educated).

        • Thanks, Woodman. (Also Clambake). While my youngest kid seethes about the idiocy of Social Justice Warriors, I hadn’t actually associated that strange concept with an acronym. I don’t use Facebook and barely used Twitter, so I didn’t get this particular strip. I appreciate the clarification.

  • Bill G

“I know people are frustrated about gentrification happening in the city, but the reality is, we live in a free market society,”
Sorry, Charlie. Free markets do not exist in locales with Green Belts and government imposed restrictions on construction.
You and yours have created the mess; live with it or fix it.

  • Cliff

Social justice will never die. It is an illusion that society can function with a socialized philosophy but the allure of the concept mesmerizes millions thinking they will get their portion with little effort.

    • H_B

Not just that. It’s perhaps even more attractive to those who have something and don’t feel they have earned it or are the equal of what they possess to assuage their awkward guilt through publicly stated “Plenary Indulgences”. Speak up for “the poor” or “the little guy”, get to lounge in your jacuzzi and feel good about yourself.

That’s the source of the outrage at the open-letter author here.

      • Doo-Dah, Doo-Dah

Yes, I’ve been ruminating on that “they must feel SO guilty” thing. And the guilt is SO painful they have to dump it onto the rest of us via projection: “You people are racist!”, they thunder. “Bigots! Greedy! Hard-hearted! YOUUU need to pay more! YOU need to be taxed more! YOU should welcome the Teeming Wretched Refuse who come here seeking Better Lives! YOU-YOU-YOU should do all the things I can think of that will assuage MY GUILT.”

Funny thing is, *I* don’t feel guilty, and *I* don’t want to do all the sh!t they insist “we” need to do because “we” are a civilized society.

My response —> I’m not part of your Glorious “WE”, Comrade. Why don’t all you activists get together and MOTIVATE YOUR OWN DAMN SELVES TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS YOU THINK YOU “SEE” ? You see “homelessness” ? All you self-righteous bloviators can get together, start a Go-Fund-Me and establish homeless shelters where they are needed. You see “racism” ? Get together and start “bootstrap industries” in minority areas, and employ the locals. You’ll create jobs where they’re needed, and the people will learn useful skills. (*) Etc, etc. DO IT YOURSELF they god ol’ American way, instead of goading Big Government to steal from productive taxpayers.
        ========

(*) Yes, you and I know how that will work out. THEY need to learn it. Over and over and over and over until they “get” it: Free cheese attracts mice. Whatever you subsidize you get more of. If you ignore maladaptive behaviors from members of “victim classes” because “aww, they’ve had it so hard”, they’ll have no motivation to adopt productive behaviors. Unless/ until you make people responsible for their own lives and advancement, they’ll just hold out their hands and beg for More Alms To The Poor (and pandering politicians will make a mighty good living promising them Other People’s Money).

  • Coal Power

LOVE “My girlfriend was terrified, I and other ran from the theater” HAHAHAH yeah it was his girlfriend that was terrified wink wink, nudge nudge

    • The 300

Afterwards she suggested they both start dating other men.

        Bada bing!

      • B Woodman

        (gigglesnort)

  • PaulS

While we producers likely see it clearly, there may come a time when the slave class realizes who their masters are and that they are looked at as nothing more than a pet; their “dignity” will demand satisfaction and they will eat their masters.

Meanwhile, we who pay our own way (along with the way for the other half + undetermined number of crimmigrants) will continue to do what we do, mainly not be part of the problem.

    Pacem Para bellum

  • Brodder

Chris- Have you seen the shadowbannings on Twitter lately>?
Larry Correia quitting over the crap (he’s either shadowbanned outright or they are vetting his posts as only some seem to show to some people after a while while others just disappear entirely from feed.)
Adam Baldwin also vaped his acct- killed all but one tweet demanding their Safety council be disbanded and the ahole in charge quit/apologize.
There have been a lot of right leaning and vocal outright bans and others shadowbanned- folks noticing a big drop in view traffic and shares of their tweets suddenly- some even while they get more followers.

    • Chris Muir

yup, but twitter and Facebook are entirely incidental to dbd;98% of y’all come here directly or via email notice. :)So I may cancel ’em, but both are hardly any concern to us.

  • JTC

    “It takes a village.”

Don’t forget the grease and feathers

Nice veggies on the cutting board.

I date myself but a long time ago, in a galaxy far away, San Francisco was a delightful, sophisticated and very conservative city. And then the hippies arrived and the great decline began. What was once a beautiful cosmopolitan delight began a descent into madness. I won’t go back because I mourn for what once it was. And for an interesting take on SJWs take a look at this: http://grouchyoldcripple.com/

  • West Rhino

lest there be any confusion with an sjwaffle (urban dictionary iw looking for a definition) mayhaps being the SJW that can’t decide between Hillary and Bern and, like Burdian’s ass that dies of starvation, unable to decide between tow equal mangers of hay, misses the caucus or primary as appropriate.

  • Kafiroon

I cannot give these twits working for their own destruction by the forces they put into play the satisfaction of being called ‘Warrior’.
They are Whiners and nothing but.

  • FXDWG69

Wait’ll the Silicon Valley denizens retire at 40 and take over the leadership of SF. Chaos will ensue.

    • H_B

Not following how it would get worse. Wouldn’t it be same problems, different faces?

      • interventor

NYC before Giuliani had 2400 murders annually. Now about 300. Comrade de Blasio will ensure it gets worse.

  • B Woodman

As posted on another site, on another subject, but equally appropriate here:

“Behold, my field of fucks, for it is empty, and barren, and none groweth here”.

    • Pamela

*looks at B Woodman over glasses”
I was going to say something about spilling seed on the ground, but that didn’t turn out well for the spillee.

  • richard

Please excuse my ignorance, but what does SJW mean? Thanks.

  • richard

Nevermind, I found it up in the comments.
