This, is gonna be fun. Look for facial tics starting with the retardo-NFL wheels

+1 to Grunt’s late off-topic but prescient comment from yesterday.

Add to the predictable entitled racist thuggery of the “players”, the sickening, sniveling, scared-shitless acquiescence and embrace of this anti-American ungrateful bullshit the league and owners exhibit as they take the side of their meal-tickets while the fact that those tickets are paid and punched by the erstwhile fans who are being slandered and insulted, and who are leaving the stadiums and the teevee coverage in droves.

Soulless mother fuckers deserve each other, and soon they’ll only have each other.

So maybe clayusmcret has a point and we should be commenting to the NFL.
Problem is, I stopped giving a rat’s ass a long time ago. Free agency destroyed the NFL by turning all the players into overpaid narcissists who care about nothing but their own career and their next $$$$$ contract.

I do still enjoy watching college ball, but nowadays the only thing I look forward to on Sundays besides church is Mr. Muir’s extended Sunday panel that gives us the chance to see more Sam and Jan and Naomi and even Skye goodness.

HELL, what does it say when Skye starts making more sense than most of idiots in the NFL??

      Think about that….

Hoping to see massive, MASSIVE blowback on the Jaguars – they’re based in a Navy town and their players pull this crap, not to mentkon the owners and staff!?!?!

So, 32 Denver Bronco players, led by Vin Miller, take a knee today in Buffalo. Then, they proceed to stink up the Bills stadium with shoddy play calling and execution. Late in the 4th qtr., Von Miller gets a 15 yd. penalty for unsportsman-like conduct to keep alive the winning Bills drive. If they pull this shite for the next game here in DenCO against the Raiders, the fans will tear the place apart. The heads of the NFL keep allowing this SJW crap to happen while the walls are crumbling down around them. Rush Limbaugh opined several years ago that the demise of the NFL will be from within due to the failure of the leadership to recognize the PC BS for what it really is. Screw the NFL and bring on ROLLERBALL !!!

Memo to Moronic NFL and its many far too overpaid, intellectually inbred and wife beating players:

    Econ: 101.

Fans can survive far longer and more comfortably without you; than you can survive without fans!

Try to remember that before you embarrass and damage yourself more egregiously.

If the fans want to watch NFL football so much they can always watch it on TV.

Only problem I see with NFL going bankrupt is all the taxpayers in all the cities with NFL teams being left on the hook paying for those fancy arenas/stadiums.

Maybe, at long last, this will put a stop to the idiocy of giving tax money to any sports business. We don’t need entertainment at gunpoint.

Even the NFL Players Union says NFL football causes irreparable brain damage. NFL must be outlawed and disbanded immediately for the players own safety. I’m sure the ex-players will be so much happier and safer in a nice factory job….They can even be PC and demand $15/hr.

They approved of everything he did. Sending the MidEast up in flames, attacking Americans at every opportunity, being a massively egotistical narcissist, weaponizing the IRS, FBI, and every other alphabet-soup agency against people he didn’t like, opening the borders to welcome in new Democrat voters, and so on.

Or didn’t you know that the vast majority of NFL team owners are big Democrat contributors?

They hate “deplorables” even more than Hillary does. The fact that those “deplorables” are the clientele’ for their multi-billion dollar kabuki theater is lost on them.

I suspect they’ll find that out pretty soon.

NB: I can view this dispassionately, as I have loathed “sports” since childhood. Other than a mild interest in women’s Olympic events involving skintight outfits on the competitors, what “sports stars” do simply does not interest me unless it shows up on a police blotter somewhere.

Eon, you reckon the TV ratings for the Olympics would improve if the athletes (at least in the summer games) dressed the same way they did in the original olympic games? I think it would REALLY improve the ratings for all the women’s events. Don’t you agree? Just imagine volleyball (either flavor) swimming and diving. Bet there’d be a lot of slow-mo analysis of hurdles, long/high jump and pole vault too. 😉

I don’t follow sports, so I don’t have any personal interest either way on football’s survival. But I’m astounded at the players and management deciding it’s a great thing to insult the paying public at a time when the “Shut Them Down For Their Own Good” movement is growing, and getting more and more data on concussions.
The “Do It For The Children” crowd is relentless, and these smoldering boulders are infuriating the people they need.

Sadly millions of our fellow citizens will continue to support these overpaid, under educated “sports heroes” and continue to contribute to their over inflated egos and paychecks. Much like the Roman Empires “Bread and Circuses.”

For those wishing to comment directly to the NFL instead of wasting comments on each other, here is the NFL Customer Contact site. It takes comments and posts a few. However, it is moderated. If people use it, they need to keep it clean. Then again, they’ll still get your comment either way.

Once an institution gets infected by the Left, it is hard-to-impossible to sanitize and bring back to sanity, as the insidious mental illness is utterly impervious to reason and reality. Government, education, entertainment, science, now sports.. and the list grows longer. Would be best if the Left were just quarantined somewhere (Cuba? Pyongyang? Portland?), unable to spread its malignancy except among itself.

    • September 25, 2017 at 2:55 pm
      John

Sad to say, but institutions, be they government or industry, respond to only one reform: the meat ax.
Once infected the infection is incurable and only corrupts anything in contact with it.
This is why Capitalism, done right, works so well. An infected business will fall victim to its vices and simply be replaced by healthier businesses just waiting to step in.
The Founders recognized this I think, and believed that Government should be kept as small as possible to limit the inevitable damage.
Now the wisdom of the Founders has been dismissed in pursuit of the Nanny State, and we _will_ pay dearly for it.

Clark Hunt, CEO K.C. Chiefs, November, 2016. Memo to players and staff……….
“You are all simply paid performers on a stage and that field is my stage!
You will stand, with your hand over your heart and with respect, when our Country’s National Anthem is being played or you will no longer be a Kansas City Chief, a Coach for the Kansas City Chiefs or have any association with the Chiefs Organization!
I will immediately fire you, no matter who you are!” You can make your political statements off the field, but when you’re employed by me and I’m signing your check,
I demand that you make our fans proud and not embarrass them.”

Many say Trump’s statements exascerbated the issue and forced the thugs to take a stand…or take a knee rather, and that the distraction from world events was unwarranted and a sign of his scattered thoughts and lack of focus.

I used to think he should keep some of his comments and tweets to himself and be more circumspect and “presidential” in his comportment. I don’t think that anymore. It is true that there are many major issues to face in the world today that would seem on the surface to take precedence over sports commentary. But sports, like other so call entertainment, has achieved such a position of idolatry in America that the people involved in it have great sway and influence, like it or not.

Trump realizes that, and I’ve come to believe that this sort of detour on his part is a very intentional and purposeful drilling down into the fiber of our Republic and the threats to it. To expose those who take advantage of it but do nothing to support it and go out of their way to negatively affect the attitudes and thought processes of those who give a shit what they think…and most especially to our young people who used to be able to look to sports figures for inspiration and guidance…I think what DJT has done here, and most everything he’s done that has been decried as being off-topic or unnecessary, is absolutely intentional and correct, and absolutely necessary to finding out who and what we are as Americans, and exposing who and what are very much not American.

It is very much the art of the deal and the art of running our country like a sustainable business, exactly what we have needed and been lacking for so many years that we are in danger of the whole organization collapsing. Go Donald.

Very simple for me. I have held jobs in this country that allowed me to have a great life for me and mine. Those jobs are taxed very heavy elsewhere or do not exist there.
These guys are paid ridiculously large salaries, of which many retired ones are dead broke. That means they did not know enough to plan ahead or protect what they received. They want to protest they country that allows them to “protest”? Fine. I’m protesting by not watching or spending a dime on them.
So the Steelers protest, but the ONE Steeler that did not gets criticized by his coach.
Protest For Me But Not For Thee!

College ball only from now on. I was a huge Vikings fan under Coach Grant ( I think now they have earned their nickname of Viqueens). Bud Grant used to have the team practice standing at attention for the National Anthem with their helmets under their arms.

Also, I just want to point out that you stand for the Anthem out of respect for those who gave all. They come home under the cover of that Star Spangled Banner, are laid to rest under it and the tri folded flag is given to the bereaved not to beguile them from the anguish of laying so great a sacrifice on the altar of freedom but to let then know that they are being thanked by a grateful nation.
