Nobody ever said “Follow the money” more than me, but maybe he is strong enough to take the money from their RINO asses (heh) and still follow the agenda of his MAGA bosses?

That’s a lesson in the art of the deal that came straight from The Donald, unapologetically exploiting the “loopholes” in tax and investment rules to fullest advantage before they change them. Same with the RINO’s “support”; take their money and run before they start turning it against him when he follows the strength of his convictions anyway; that’s a lesson from the heart and soul of Ronald Reagan right there.

Pretty good pair of inspirations. Hope he’s up to the follow-through. Good start.

Not saying that evidence is damming. This was the state of Jeb Bush. Ron has many great ideas. Many good actions. He seems less the politician than most. I have seen negative politician signs in him and those around or allied with him also. No one gets too far without real or made up problems to be seen. That may be the state of the world. I have seen our state develop in good directions since I was a wee child here. I have know governors, cabinet members, senators, representatives, mayors, commissioners, police, and many employees and citizens across the spectrum. (The only State Cabinet member with whom I have spoken with for more than an hour is the one not of my party affiliation. She means well, even if I disagree with much she believes in. She has acted well as far as all I have noticed. So have many politicians I have never spoken with.)
    Most of us mean well.
The danger is that politics will always face the pressure of special interests and politics.
How much is political trade off? How much is what the people really want and need? Who benefits? And that is meant in the long run.
    The bumpy ride continues.
There are people intending to fill multi-generational political goals that do not benefit the citizens of our nation. The task is long term. Transparency is needed. Trump and Pelosi and McConnell and many others all do not reveal as much as they should when they should. We cannot act properly without sufficient information.
The people are the nation despite some emphasis solely on continuity of government.
Good presentation. Was I speaking about the pills.

“Reality and knowledge about reality is good.”

Especially the knowledge that reality is malleable and can be anything depending on what someone with the means to control it wants it to be….

But there is only one Truth.

And there is a lot of Truth in that piece, almost all of which can be attributed to the Truth of the saying which seems to have been written especially for it:

“Follow the money/power. Always follow the money/power”.

At this point, it’s really more a question of who the Deep State hit machine will allow to remain standing, literally, in 2024. Anyone – former presidents, governors, the rare uncorrupted congressperson – could easily be chosen for “removal” before the next inauguration. They’ve seen how most 21st century Americans react to the gross nullification of civil rights (2020, BLM, covid1984, 2022): with a passive “Well, that’s just the New Normal, I guess” shrug of the shoulders and sheeplike obedience. Deciding who they allow to “run” in the already rigged “election” of 2024 will be childsplay.

      Not true.
They ARE afraid of DeSantis, they just fear Trump more.
My dream ticket would be for Trump to win the Presidency, let DeSantis serve out his term as governor and then Trump picks up DeSantis as his Attorney General to get a head start on HIS cleanup before becoming President.
      I’m not hopeful though.
I’m getting hints that Trump is losing it.

Alternatively, after the primary, have Trump announce DeSantis as his VP.

If all goes well, Trump has another 4 years and DeSantis gets a good launching board for 8 years.
And if Trump should have health issues while in office, DeSantis can step right in and run next go around as the incumbent.

Wonder if Grady Judd could be convinced to take the position of Attorney General. Or (for house cleaning) Director of the FBI.

Why would “Ron” behave any differently than the others?

Telling what he would do, just gives the opponents time to plan. It would not help the voter’s decision since we all know they are liars.

Might ask “retiring” Senator Blunt how that works. He had a son working as the aBag Man while the “good” (sic) Senator sold out his state of Missouri.

Time to “retire” and cash-in the 30 pieces of silver. After all, that is what Washington is for. Gots to keep an eye on DeSantis. Florida may just be a show piece. A “loss leader” setting himself up for the big time.

I don’t know about Trump, but he has enough cash and fame as to not sell easy or cheap. No one is really attacking DeSantis, so that is suspicious. It sounds like he has already “taken the ticket”.

The “red vs blue” paradigm only makes sense when there’s actual difference between the two parties. At this point, the only difference between the RINOs and Dems is pace; the RINOs are meandering down the road to hell whereas the Dems are racing…

For what it’s worth, the colours are reversed in Canada; Trudeau the Younger’s illiberal Liberal Party are Team Red whereas the CONservatives are Team Blue.

The real paradigm is individual rights vs collective rights… and it’s shocking how politicians rarely, if ever, speak of such…

The fact the GOP are grooming DeSantis isn’t surprising… He’s shown himself to be an effective governor despite barely winning his first election. Does that translate well to a run for PotUS? Not necessarily…

To paraphrase an old saying about Palin being “Reagan in a Skirt” (which was true before she was ruined by succumbing to the lure of the VP role which was given to her specifically to shut her up), we should say about Kari, “DeSantis in a Skirt”…she is a bulldog just like him and she would be perfect in that role; they are scared shitless of her for just that reason.

I’ve noticed in the comments above a distinct streak of demoralization.
This is part of the Left’s agenda to power, along with information control in general.
We can’t just give up. The progress of the Right depends on our enthusiasm, particularly when it comes to recruiting.
There has always been an elite in this country who counted themselves superior because of their money and, thereby, advanced education.
But the Left has corrupted everything they’ve touched, and this now includes that education. Thus the elites are superior only in terms of money.
Meanwhile, those of us who have to live much closer to the Real World have a much better grasp of it, and it is our duty to our posterity NOT to despair.
And remember, the Framers built our system of highly redundant checks and balances knowing something the Left will never acknowledge. Socialism is a scam. The Leaders are either Grifters or, far worse, Nihilists who want to see the world burn. The Followers have been conned into the notion that they can create Heaven on Earth at gunpoint. These poor souls have no notion of Human Nature, or in fact Nature in general.
Life, of necessity, is programmed to Game the System, and that huge lump of Central Nervous System tissue between our ears does just that, one way or another, 24/7. No government conceived by Man (or woman for that matter) can withstand the perpetual onslaught. The Soviet Union, with total control of all human institutions, was corrupted to death by Human Nature in only 70 years.
We must, as the Founders did, pledge our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor to the cause of Liberty because we are already in the maw of the Information State.

No you’re still missing the gist BW…

Again, he’s not staking out the middle of the road politically, bet he knows just how far to the left the middle has been pulled by the leftists on the left and the “right”. DeSantis is so far to the right of them that they can’t even see him and yet OTOH he represents US, and we ARE the middle class, the middle of America, and essentially the middle of the world; we don’t want anything to do with their sick left wing commie shit OR the wackjobs who claim to be and represent the “right”, and we cannot let them set the parameters or define us either politically or personally.

DeSantis may well crap out, but he hasn’t yet that I’ve seen, so I don’t think we should call him out as a RINO pre-emptively…he has enough pushing back to do as it is without having his MAGA electorate that he has been faithful to attacking him without cause.
