I suggest you review the events while Arthur Neville Chamberlain was PM for England. He negotiated peace with the then chief European bully, Hitler. He exchanged “the German-speaking Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia to Nazi Germany” in exchange for “peace in our time” as he touted it. Now, most of you folks here are WAY too young to remember what followed except from history books. I was born during what followed. We do NOT want to repeat this nonsense. It is HORRIDLY expensive to stop a bully once he gets on a roll. Putin is not on a roll yet. It would be wise not to arrange for Europe to become part of Russia as it is a worthwhile trading partner, and owning all that is still not sufficient to sate a seasoned bully’s hunger for more. We’d end up fighting him in the end for a price that makes what we contribute to Ukraine look cheap. Let’s not be stupid in reflex to Democraps supporting Ukraine. Like a stopped clock Democraps are periodically correct. We hit one such time with Ukraine.

And when the bully comes around for us we’ll almost certainly be in worse financial alternate brown pudding than we are now.

You cannot appease those who can’t be appeased.
What we see right now is politicians and the ‘elite’ negotiating with islamists to see who gets killed last.

There absolutely is no border between us and a “depraved autocracy.’ What is supposed to be our government is imposing it, and the media which loves to style itself as The Fourth Estate, backs the tyrants.

      Correction
      It’s OWNED by the tyrants.
Fortunately, the very forces that brought this crisis to a head also offers a way out, and you’re looking at a tiny piece of it.
Reason, meaning the Real World, must and will win out. The question is; will it be sooner with a minimum of damage or later after, as Winston Churchill put it:
“But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science.”

Jdow, are we not supporting a full kleptocratic regime in Ukraine by sending them more money to launder and squander? All while our own borders are shot, our cities are rotting, and on and on. We created the mess by pressing NATO on more folks unwilling and unable to foot the bill and threatening Russia. We created 10/7, too and that was the work of Obammy. And the bill is coming due with couch potatoes unwilling to work or fight, which leaves the payment to be made by us. Sanction Russia in any number of ways, but quit sending Ukraine our money.

Yeah, I guess the commiecrats in dc are really worried about the Trumpster and need some additional cash flow for their (literal) war-chest. What’s 10% of $60mil? And least we forget the jewish comedian running the place probably has his eye on another $20 mil house(to match the one he bought in Londonstan) – this one probably in California.

While I agree that we have to stop Russia…

I predict we will find out later that Z and others have HUGE Swiss bank accounts at our expense.

Politicians and governments are great at spraying money all over with zero accountability – it’s the spraying that is important.

How does Zelinsky avoid getting dishpan hands from laundering all that money he kicks back to American politicians in the uniparty- – – – -from the billions they keep sending him? He must have a set of rubber gloves that reach all the way to his armpits! I just imagine there are plenty of Swiss bank accounts in their names, too!

Some very good comments and pertinent points,
I agree with jdow the Bully (s) must be
stopped as early as possible, Ukraine must
survive, it`s flogging a dead horse to bring up
that if the treasonous middle of the night
retreat of our military in Afghanistan, the funding
of Iran, and deciding to open our borders to
any and all had not happened, the world might
not be experiencing most of the problems we
    now have.

Like him or not, Trump is our only hope.

Well I tend to sense most of us are old enough to remember. We are quickly coming to point that if there is going to be a fight we are the ones that will have to do it. Those younger seem not inclined to fight unless it is for things we would oppose. Besides, how much longer are most of us going to live. Either old age, etc., or the war our Chamberlains will get us into will kill us,
