Similar questions about substance seem unlikely about DeSantis.
So far as I have seen.
One can only imagine the attacks being prepared and arrayed against him.
Unfortunately the Golden Boy from the Sunshine State might be shaping up to be another puppet controlled by the Wall Street Billionaire Club. I’ve been paying attention to things over at the The Last Refuge: ( https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2022/09/22/atwater-styled-shenanigans-surface-in-desantis-national-political-campaign/ ) and they’ve been offering up some pretty damning evidence of who and what’s driving the DeSantis machine. I’m disappointed in what’s being presented. Had higher hopes for and from the Governor.
And of course there is no more damning and damaging “attacks prepared and arrayed against him” than the ones prepared and arrayed intramurally.
People seem to forget DeSantis’ proposals only fly because he has tremendous support from his Repub-controlled state Congress. So would he do as well on the national level? The Don was stymied at every turn, including by his own Party…would DeSantis do anywhere near The Don’s level of accomplishments?
Circular firing squad, perhaps?
Being the #1 guy, after Donald, Ron better grow eyes in the back of his head….
From what I heard, Governors Abbott and DeSantis worked together to ship the willing 50 to MV.
Meanwhile … in the People’s Republic of California Gruesome Newsom has sunk to an even lower level of depravity by making human composting the newest twisted fad. So … who is going to be first in the human composting line? Millions of invaders or Biden’s so called “ultra MAGA” republicans? Soylent Green must be right around the corner for these globalists …
Gruesome Newsom has a leading hand in this now that he has made human composting in California the latest twisted fad …
Human “composting” is nothing new. There are a number of cemeteries (open meadow land, usually) scattered around the country that specialize in unprotected burial (6-ft down). The body must be chemical-free (no embalming, no drugs), no metal at all. (zippers, etc), natural clothing materials only (cotton, wool. No nylon, etc) Any casket used must be natural, untreated, unfinished wood — only hide glue — no nail or metal fixtures (dowels or other joinery used). Everything must naturally decay with nothing added…other than what Nature created.
Maybe planning on that one after I have “shuffled off this mortal coil”. “Earth to earth, dust to dust”.
Yeah, I can’t really see what’s wrong with the idea, in itself… Personally, I don’t think I’ll be overly concerned with what happens to my physical body after I’m not using it anymore, so recycling it to fertilize plants seems about as worthwhile a notion as any,
On the other hand, California’s next move will probably be to try to make this *mandatory*, and ban all other forms of burial “for the planet”, so *that* might be a good reason to try to nip this trend in the bud…
When “composting” becomes newspeak for soylent green is where the problem comes in. Dead bodies make good worm food but SG requires the flesh to be tender and moist, preferably alive when rendered.
I don’t give a shit where they toss my dead body but I prefer it to be dead of natural causes, something fun, or by my own hand, not processed like a crop.
It was nothing more than a winding sheet and a deep hole for millions of years, then the mausoleum and headstones came around but even then the bodies were left out until only bones remained to be put in ossuaires in said mausoleums.
The only thing the ‘composting’ in Calif. does is play to the greenies who have no concept of history or how anything was done before last week…history is meaningless to them because they don’t want their rewritten myths about it shattered.
Only a liebral politician could make a big production about something that’s going to happen anyway if nobody intervenes in the process so maybe it’s time to go back to the winding sheets and deep holes but keep the headstones for those who want to entertain future archaeologists
What did socialists use before wood chips?
Intrastate transport is a different game than international. There is no real benefit to getting sucked into another endless court case, unless there is a smart plan. DC and NYC are fun enough. If there is a way, I am sure that FL and TX will use it. Love the signed agreements that were used for these trips.
If crossing the border anywhere but a few tightly controlled places was an endeavor doomed to failure possibly even deadly, this would not be a problem. The USA is the only country that allows this.
If one is caught crossing the border illegally anywhere in Krapistan (Turkey, Afghanistan, most muslim-majority $h!tholes) there is a very good chance that you will be shot. Then your remains will be tossed somewhere for the night creatures to dine upon. No attempt to notify your loved ones will be made. You will just disappear.
Sounds like natural composting to me. 😉
The Constitution gives Texas the authority to wage war to repel the invasion.
It’s long past the time for the Texas National Guard to go to war because the federal government has breached its duty under the Constitution to protect the states from invasion,
It’s all there in black and white in very specific language. All that’s lacking is the guts to go to war to stop the invasion.
Why the complaint about Texas Governor Abbott? He was one of the first to send illegals out of state.
“Big hat, no cattle” about says it all in Texas lingo Shooter.
“There’s no there there” has been my suspicion for some time.
The power the USA amassed post WW1 – political, economic, cultural, military, industrial – was beyond most anything seen in human history. Perhaps what we are seeing now is the sad, inevitable result of absolute power corrupting absolutely. Whether it can be flushed out and turned around or not, in hindsight it seems naive not to have seen it coming.
“The corruption is unbelievable” – President Trump
That power was the direct result of the greatest increase of wealth for a people ever seen in history, specifically between the Civil War and WWI.
Then the “Progressives” poisoned the well with their “reforms” like the Income Tax, Federal Reserve, Direct Election of Senators, and Rule by Regulation AKA law invented by the Administration rather than having to come into being by legislation.
But the deadliest poison was universal education run by the government. If you read the literature you’ll find that Education ruled by Government always works hard to grow more Government without exception.
Yes John, everything you mention is an aspect of control…
From the murder, destruction, and theft of the land, the lives, the agriculture, the territory, the shipping, and the economy of the CSA; essentially all of the components of the dominant position in the world you mention, right up until today’s no-holds-barred agenda to kill and destroy all of us who are not them and have resisted their control…
Always follow the money and power (control).
Yeah, I loves me some Founding Fathers, but they could be short-sighted.
Jefferson was such a big proponent of public education, because he thought it was important that kids grow up knowing why our being a republic is important. Now the kids want to take his statues down at his own college.
It’s part and parcel of the delusion they had that it was a great idea to write a detailed document constraining government from doing a bunch of things to the people, then put into that same government’s hands the power to interpret what that document “really meant.” I mean, no way THAT could go wrong.
As a native Texas whose family has been here since before the Texas Revolution, I am conflicted by Abbott.
On one hand, he has delivered on a lot of his promises, such as enhancing gun rights (we finally got Constitutional Carry last year, along with a lot of other good gun laws), sending the Austin city politicians to their room without any supper, and generally keeping the size of state government contained.
On the other, his initial moves on COVID and controlling the border were weak or worse, and his good moves have largely just followed DeSantis’ leadership.
And on the gripping hand, when it comes to CRT in education (especially adoption of CRT principles as official public policy in Texas public higher ed), Abbott and minions have been downright disingenuous: they say one thing but do another.
More accurately, they DON’T do anything, and are intentionally letting that cancer metastasize.
At bottom, Abbott is a largely harmless RINO (under the Texas Constitution of 1877, the governor has VERY limited powers) — but a RINO nonetheless, and nobody’s idea of a leader.
I kinda with Alan West had won the primary. He’d have no problem reinstating the rule of law. Abbott? He’s good at licking his finger and holding it in the wind.
Well the Mother WEF Fake Teeth and Buffont Hair Grusome put in these new Tricks not Treats the other day https://www.breitbart.com/environment/2022/09/22/gavin-newsom-signs-40-new-climate-bills-at-once-new-mandates-restrictions/
Most of Republican Texas is unhappy with Gov. Abbot being a little RINO on many issues. I had hoped West would do better in the primary. Heck, even Huffines might have been a better alternative.
I’m sure Abbot is positioning himself to claim some nonsense “moderate” position, so that he can go for the big chair eventually, wheeling himself into the Oval Office like FDR.
DeSantis is big on grandstanding plays, but I have little hope when we had both houses and the Presidency, we didn’t get anything done. At all. Why would it be different now? Nothing changed after 2020, yet everyone expects this election to be different?
“Nothing changed after 2020…”
Could we Please go back about 6 years?
In the last two, we have gone from the basement to the sewer, to the shiite creek.
If one is against CRT in public education – they’re anti-semitic.
Being against open borders is anti-semitic.
The Truth is the opinion of the Powerful.
During the last 2 years 23 states have passed laws against anti-semitism. None have defined what that is…
Give it a little time, and more red state governors will be doing the same. The reason TX and FL are leading in this fight is because these two look to be candidates in 2024, and that is driving the DNC/PLD nuts.
When another 2-3 states start sending Illegals to NY, NJ, and Maryland’s Sanctuary Cities, and MA again, then you will see some actual violence from the left that they can’t explain or wave away like the riots…
Governor Abbott regularly sends me requests for money including a postage paid envelope. I printed this out and have mailed it to him in his envelope.
I doubt he will see it, but someone will.
