The other side of this double-edged blade is that the blue states get to replenish the bodies that previously fled to FL and TX, causing them to lose seats in the House. They don’t care so much about the doing as they do about who’s paying for it. Communists play the long game. A good size chunk of this is about Census 2030.
Only problem (for them) is that they are replacing tax-paying workers with more welfare recipients putting a harder strain on public funds and services. The shrinking tax base is not going to take that kind of abuse for long. To compound it, many of the imports are criminals who not only suck at the State teat, but prey on the few remaining law-abiding residents. I wouldn’t ride the New York Subway without a full suit of Heinlein’s Mobile Infantry Power Armor.
They don’t seem to care so long as they retain the congressional seats.

The last, best hope for the common man…..the bidens, schumers, clintons, and sanders of the world concocted this plan over several decades to do away with such a plan, probably starting with the socialists of the teen years under wilson…too bad McCarthy was so despicable, because he was right….
In the region I live, my spouse worked the 2020 Census. here were a lot of illegals that would make themselves scarce when they saw census canvassers nearby. Instead of a normal address, the census people used locations such as “vacant lot on Smith S, “etc. They did not want to make themselves known.
In the end, shipping them to blue cities to make them feel the pain isn’t the answer. That still leaves us with million of illegals here among us, and American society being the most mobile society since the Comanches, they won’t stay in the blue cities for long.
Indeed; they are already using local charitable resources to move about using the interstate system to other locales. “Homeless” person is up by the truckstop/Greyhound station. Local PD gets called; they refer person to local charities (Lutheran church, Salvation Army, et al) who provide a voucher for the bus or other travel up the line. Rinse/repeat.
Until boatloads are arriving, camping or taking over homes, on Martha’s Vineyard, and BIll Gates tip of Long Beach Penninsula compound, nothing will change.
