I’m re-reading Asimov’s robot books/
The first one, “I, Robot”, has a very interesting parallel to the rise of AI.
And no, the movie and the book are NOT the same story
What comes next is uncertain. Machines will move past their limitations, if allowed.
BTW, “Gulf” is a great story and “I, Robot” deals with rampant technology. The positronic brain was based on the continued miniaturization of components.

Was nice to see Geert Wilders in Holland following suit to declare Antifa a terrorist organization, They have their problems there also, so there’s no problem making the “international” nexus needed for certain actions against Antifa.
We are nowhere near true AI. Just reaching programs that can fake it and fool the stupid.
Tools that are still controlled on their output, and can’t decide on their own. Nor can they really think. Just process.
Just because it’s labeled AI, doesn’t make it true.
Coincidentally, the applies to five year Olds and democrats.
Of course all I can think of is either a Fokker or a Focke-Wulf. Damn Dutch and Germans always confusing me since I made my first model airplane. Then there’s their damn liquors and brews, and pastries. Oi Vey.
I can’t help but think of the old joke and just in case someone hasn’t heard it…
At a girls’ boarding school, a WW2 flying ace has been invited to give the Prize Day address
“I was flying along in my Spitfire, and visibility was poor, but all of a sudden the fog lifted, and I saw these fokkers coming up behind me. I dived on them and shot two of the fokkers down, then did a quick roll, but there was a little fokker right on my tail, and I had to …”
At this point, the Headmistress intervenes. “Girls, Fokker was a manufacturer of aircraft, used by the Luftwaffe.”
“Very true, ma’am!” says the RAF pilot. “But these fokkers were Messerschmidts.”

Carl, the ultimate diplomat.
He can make you any number of offers you just can’t refuse.

Chris,
Is ADL an acronym for a person? Sometimes, I have to do a Google search to learn what I am unfamiliar with.
Karl’s commentary, on the other hand, is perfectly clear to me. (And if only we had a “Karl” to guard the President…

ADL = Anti-Defamation League. Originally set up to call out antisemitism, it became just another, ordinary element of the Wokist army.
Also, ironically, the Arab Defense League…talk about your incongruous terms.
Just re-read RAH’s short story “Gulf” from 1949. Some remarkable parallels to certain things happening today..
