They named Letitia James the Shadow AG. Talk about no self-awareness.

They even named staunch conservative Ben Stein to a position, solely because of his (libertarian!) objection to tariffs. Politico is so shallow.

Labour shadow cabinets in the UK have always been the Party’s way of telling the peasants

You have dared to take a smidgen of our power away from us. Once we are back in power, we shall take Our Righteous Revenge on you.

In fact, that’s also pretty much the gist of Democrats’ “debate” over why they lost in November. “We did not ‘message’ well enough” and “We did not show those despicable peons their proper place so the message got through their thick skulls”.

There’s not much “introspection” going on there.

More like a lot of gearing up for the 48th Anniversary Celebration of 1968.

Expect Days of Rage II soon.

Which is why I’m so glad I live in Florida! When the “mostly peaceful” George Floyd ‘protests’ were going on in the blue cities/states, we had little to no problems here.

Protests were fine, but arson, vandalism, looting etc were quashed, fast and HARD with the perps cuffed & stuffed, hooked & booked!!

D/T Orlando, Tampa, Jax, Miami, etc…..all were relatively quiet with quite a few business owners literally living in their shops/stores armed to the teeth, and pretty much *with the governor’s blessings*!!!

        So….”days of rage”……yeah, riiiiiiight…..not here…..you (they) WON’T like the response or outcome!!!!

After Kyle Rittenhouse shot some rioters, things became more ‘Mostly Peaceful’ and less ‘Fiery,’ I noticed.

I’m thinking that a Citizen going on ‘Riot Patrol’ should consider how to go about it the correct way…

#1. Have Buddies with you. Rittenhouse should have had backup, and not been out there alone.

#2. Carry the proper gear for the situation. You and your mates need to be dressed alike, for one thing. And geared up for a fight will stop some Antifa thugs faster than being in a Ball cap and t-shirt. Helmet, flak vest, knee/elbow pads. But also, be set to render aid, or to de-escalate a situation. First aid kit, a few bottles of water, and a single use fire extinguisher. These were carried by Rittenhouse, and he did stop one fire from spreading.

Appropriate weapons. This is where Kyle messed up a bit. Besides being alone. A riot baton might have been a better call than the rifle. That or one of the ‘Less Lethal’ airguns for self defense out there now. There is a Shotgun airgun that delivers a bone-breaking forty joules of force, for example. Also, mace and tasers can prove a better option. Especially mace, even with thugs who think their home made gas masks will protect them.

#3. Tactics and legal Issues. Know what you can get away with out there. Rittenhouse was not prepared for the consequences of shooting someone. You need to be aware of local laws, and be prepared to defend your actions.

One of the ‘peaceful protestrs’ that attacked Rittenhouse was armed with an illegal handgun and he was under an order not to possess weapons. A baton would only be a losing proposition. Not to say that having one would necessarily be a bad idea but you need to be be able to transition to a higher level of force if needed. The reason ‘Bobbies’ in London got away with only a truncheon was because they didn’t hesitate to use it when required, the media didn’t vilify them for it and the Courts handed the criminal it was used on a stiff sentence in short order, detering most others from following in their footsteps. Ther’s no point in saying things like ‘FAFO’ if nobody FO’s without the media making them into the heroes for FA’ing and creating the situation in the first place.

It must be nice to live in an area where you’re allowed to defend yourself and others and permitted the means to do so instead of your government proclaiming that you have no right to defend yourself from any criminal action and taking any means you might have to do so away from you by force.

I would want to add “paintball gun” to your #2 Appropriate Weapons in the “less than lethal” category.
Just make sure you have a fully charged air tank + a backup when you start.

“Less than lethal” is a very bad idea, especially in crowd control, unless you have the ‘lethal enough’ to back it up.

I have almost fifty years experience in crowd control/riot control training and in public events there was ALWAYS a section with live ammunition just in case somebody in the crowd brought theirs or started to ‘disturb the peace tumultuously’ to the point where bystanders or others were in danger of or being directly exposed to ‘death or grevious bodily harm’ at which point you were required and expected to use whatever force was necessary to stop the individual(s) applying said force, including aimed fire, after a warning shot ‘if safe to do so and time permits’ but it often doesn’t. Sometimes the aimed fire doubles as the warning shot to others. You never, never, never, ever use ‘blanks’ for any purpose other than in a launcher to project chemical/irritant/distractant munitions. Using ‘smoke grenades’ only obscures what’s happening, screens the perpetrators, and cause bad decisions from faulty perceptions, which is why the professional agitators planted in the crowds use them so often.

Whatever happened to the “banana” super slippery water spray that was proposed years ago that would prevent anybody sprayed with it from standing up?
Why isn’t any police department still using that? Also, while I’m asking, silly questions whatever happened to permits for demonstrations and parades and things like that?

‘Less than lethal’ is fine, they should be the first choice and used copiously and creatively, until that proves ineffective and people start getting hurt and businesses are being burned without knowing if anyone is inside them.

At that point you have gone from a ‘mostly peaceful protest’ to a murderous mob that has to be brought under control before more people are hurt or killed.

The aim should be to target the lead agitators first with more lethal force, they’re normally paid to stir the crowd up and provoke violent encounters for the media to seize on and tend to leave quickly once they know they’ve been recognized as the main threat and are in personal danger.

Lethal force has to be justified, minimal and carefully targeted to avoid unnecessary injury to those ‘caught up in the moment’ that are being used as pawns and camouflage for the main instigators.

Their aim is to maximize injury for terror and to lead the media into unwittingly or more often today wittingly, supporting their cause. Responders should be trying to minimize damage and injury while still preventing the event from getting out of all control. Self preservation is of paramount importance, being disarmed only to have a service weapon taken from you then used to fire into the crowd so the media will report ‘police/military weapons caused a number of casualties’ without mentioning who fired them.

Media personnel can be a great help or a great hindrance but more often today they’re ony interested in putting something on air quickly with no investigation and complete disregard for facts to ‘scoop’ their rivals and nobody ever reads the corrections later, if there ever are any, access to the airaves is virtually instantaneous, even if the information is shown out of context by not looking at it long enough to realize what it is.

Water cannon + indelible dayglo inks -> shine blacklights and arrest.

Someone mentioned stink bombing anifa with Urk! (not real name but only thing you can do once you’re hit with it.)
Doe scent, skunk scent, dead bodies scent, limburger scent, durian fruit sap… all combined have nothing on this stuff.
It can be done in a binary mix. First as warning, second to remove and neutralize threats.

    Also research for readers.

You assume the powers controlling the responders want anyone to be arrested…they want whatever they can ue against a political opponent and nothing more, the lives and wellbeing of the citizenry has become secondary to political and personal power.

Aristocracy has three successive ages – the age of superiorities, the age of privileges, and the age of vanities; having passed out of the first, it degenerates in the second, and dies away in the third.

        – François de Chateaubriand, Memoirs from Beyond the Grave

Our “aristocracy” is well into that third stage.

Also known as the “bread and circuses” stage.

And we are the Christians and Jews in the Colosseum.

You remember that cartoon of an old Roman Circus, where all the lions are roaring, and the page boy yells down the corridor…
