In this very rare instance, I am glad to be 87; it hurts too much to watch our country voluntarily become the antithesis of that which 250 years of White American men fought and died for.
Someone once said that great empires last 200 years…or until The Takers learn they can vote themselves into slavery.
I heard it was “… until the pee-pul find out they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury.”

The ‘givers’ can only give so much before they’ve given it all but the ‘takers’ have no limit and will demand more because they fully believe that it’s their ‘right’.

The Founders designed the country to be immune to the takers… then its “representatives” just stuck them right back into the system (as the Daniel Boone story “Not Yours to Give” illustrates). Because THEY ALWAYS WILL.
For the same reason you can’t build a rat-proof ship.
The 2 largest voting blocks that voted for MeinDummy were the AWFLs and the immigrants with less than 10 years in the US.
We probably can’t do much about the AWFLs (except hoping they wake up and learn from their mistakes) but maybe we can tweak the immigrant voting laws in blue cities/states…?
Need to return to older voting qualifications – property and business ownership. Add military and veterans (unknown in colonial times)
Disqualified? Students, welfare/SNAP/EBT, prisoners.
Taxpayers? Ummmmm. I’m on the fence on that so far.
Those with skin in the game. Net makers, not takers.
Notice I made NO mention of women vs men.
Non-property owners with verified military or police service. If you’re willing to put on the uniform and “write that check”*, you deserve to have a say in things.
* A friend of mine, E-5, says that “When you take that oath, you write a check to to your country marked ‘Payable On Demand’.
It doesn’t end with military retirement. I signed on with the SC State Guard, Marion’s Men, the Original State Militia. We are primarily a pool of 1000 volunteer professional experts: Engineers, Legal, C-3,and Technical Rescue. My specialty is Swift Water Rescue, Public Service Diver/Instructor, and Boat Rescue. Spent several days during the Democrats’ Shutdown prepping and distributing emergency food packages. I may be 73, but a Man has to keep busy.

It’s the sheepdog vs the wolf.
Both have teeth, but only the wolf dreams of eating the sheep.
Old sheepdogs can still bite.
This one is 67, but still knows how to use Mr. Browning’s Masterpiece.

This one is 75, (VN vet) has several of J. Moses Browning’s masterpieces and since retiring, gets to spend a LOT more time at a friend’s private range keeping the ol’ skills sharp…….and having a grand ol’ time doing so. 😉
Supremely glad I don’t reside in any of the blue sh*tholes here and although we have a few AWFL’s and Karen’s here, I’ve been blessed to not having had any interaction with them.

Did the women who voted for Mamdani think they were voting AGAINST Trump?
That last panel was yet another reminder of just how perverse the Left is.
I wonder just how they avoid thinking that Islam is offering them a real world version of The Handmaid’s Tale?
French revolutionary model. Make common cause with disparate groups, then liquidate them when you succeed. Lefties think they’ll be able to keep the muzzies down or somehow control them once their revolution overturns the old order.
Problem is that Iran proved that 7th century Muslims are more ruthless than 20th century commies.
Muzzies don’t know , don’t understand and couldn’t recreate anything that we have now!

The Nth Doctor
The popularity of “The Handmaid’s Tale”, “Fify Shades of Grey”, and similar kinds of fiction among women suggests to me that many of them actually *want* that kind of life. Their favorite fantasies seem to revolve entirely around being subjugated, dominated, and made second-class citizens.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that, per se; I figure anyone is entitled to whatever fantasy life floats their boat, as long as it *remains* a fantasy and they keep it to themselves. The problem is, they’re trying to make their personal psychodramas into reality, and trying to force the rest of us to buy a ticket to their circus whether we want to or not.
This might explain why John Norman’s “Gor” male dominance fantasies have been continuously in print since 1968. So far, they’ve outlived three publishers and are now available free online.
Odd fact; several of them were written by Anne Rampling aka Anne Rice.

Avoid it?
They spend stupid money on gold nose rings, then try to claim they are symbol of “independence and empowerment.”
They’re not fooling anybody.
Any hog farmer can tell you that right off.
Their brains tell them what they “want,” but their hormones tell them what they WANT.
Have you read about all the S&M clubs closing due to a shortage of M’s?
Me neither.
I’m someone who watches various commentariats in various places; two popular forums dedicated to THT have a few muslimas performing dawa on how liberating their veils are. Or that wearing them is a choice. Taquiyya pick.
Wearing a bag IS a choice…a choice between wearing it and being beaten to death for not wearing it…choose wisely, women of New York…and Toronto…and Montreal…and London…and Paris…and all the other places with ‘no go zones’ that the police won’t enter to save your AWFL ass when you go to see what you voted for.
The thing is, on the one side we’re looking at a replay of Tours 732 and Vienna 1683, but on the other side we’re simultaneously in a large-scale version of the Lincoln County War 1878, with the government as the Murphy-Dolan-Riley gang.
Female property owner here. You’d like the way I vote….. I’ll be 78 in February, but I can still hit a bull’s eye at a range, and I have kids, grandkids and great grandkids I’d fight for.
AWFLs strike me as one of America’s greatest threats. They think they’re educated and so much smarter than the rest of us, when in actuality they’re sheep being led to the slaughter by the Mamdanis of the world. I fear that by the time things come to a head I won’t be around to resist, but I’ll be looking down cheering on my side, or telling the fools, “I told you so.”
I’ve always known Sowell was a brilliant man. I read The Vision of the Anointed years ago which both impressed and scared me, so when he speaks, I listen. His description of bureaucracies is, like everything else, spot on.

What jarring culture shock, panel one segueing into panel four…the more so because what was unthinkable before, is horrifyingly thinkable now.
(Pretty gorgeous and amazing sunset Vista there CM, good job!)
Our (former) country’s “sunset”?
In this very rare instance, I am glad to be 87; it hurts too much to watch our country voluntarily become the antithesis of that which 250 years of White American men fought and died for.

There was a sunset? 😉
Lenin is supposed to have said that “Capitalists will sell us (Communists) the rope we will use to hang them”.
AWFLs (Affluent White Female Liberals) will vote themselves into purdah with equal enthusiasm.
Then wonder how they ended up that way.

Well, Trump DID support Cuomo!
The lesser of two evils.
Probably…
