Due to the attempted vehicular homicide today in Minneapolis, I wouldn’t be surprised if that timer hasn’t started

I always wondered about that line. Is the codeword imminent, or IS the codeword “Imminent”?

If he does mobilize the NG to resist ICE, that will be firing on Sumter. WARNO went out to MN NG, but it depends on what actions he takes with them once mobilized.

Telling this generation of coddled white suburban Leftists elites the word “no” is quite the shock to those who have been told they were special, got a trophy for participation (not earned through sacrifice) and listened to communist profs who want to return to the 60s for their formative years in collective hives of higher education. They ain’t gonna like it. Tough titty kitty. Stand by for heavy rolls as the ship comes about. Dr. No! Cue Ursula coming up from the warm waters of Dunn’s River Falls Beach in Jamaica. Best to leave on a high note.

Just like the first civil war, the democrats will lose this one as well. This time around though, they only have a lot of large cities. They have no armies and no way to prepare for the kinetic action they so desperately are agitating for.

My apologies for interrupting your seriousness, but every time I hear those opening notes I’m brought to one of those old Warner Bros. Bugs Bunny cartoons. The one where Elmer Fudd is out in search for Bugs. Marching along, pop gun in hand, he quietly sings:
      “Hunt for the Wabbit!
      Hunt for the Wabbit!”

Interesting use of words by the AP “reporters”. They said the woman “pulled forward”. Denoting a non-aggressive movement. Other reporters used “accelerated”. This sounds like another case of AP SOP (Standard Operating Propaganda).

    via Ian Fleming’s books:
Honey Ryder is the most engaging Bond Girl.
From Russia with Love is the best spy thriller.
George Lazenby is the most accurately portrayed James Bond.

Had all those LPs memorized, up to and including On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (what boy at the time didn’t have a total crush on Diana Rigg?), so yea that was my actual soundtrack (thanks, John Barry, great work!)

Oh, but the very best James Bond movie is and always will be … Goldfinger.

Shirley Bassey’s opening song is the very best 007 song. Then there are all of characters, spyware, and plot devices. The super villain Goldfinger; the dead Bond girl all painted in gold; the Aston Martin DB5 with all the gadgets; Goldfinger’s henchman “Odd Job” with head chopper top hat; Fort Knox; “Operation Grand Slam;” Goldfinger’s laser; and, of course … Pussy Galore, and her ‘Pussy Galore’s Flying Circus.’

    “I must be dreaming.”

Shirley Bassey also sang Diamonds Are Forever. And Walz calling out the National Guard will play out like it did in Little Rock in the 1950s.

Trump is their commander-in-chief, what’s timmy going to do if he calls them up for Federal service ? We’ll see then if anyone wants to refuse a lawful order and find out what Leavenworth is like. I’d say the only orders being refused will be the tampax kid’s…appropriate moniker for him since he regularly makes a bloody mess out of everything

I can hear the troops in the ranks.

“You wanna follow President Trump or Lame Duck Walz?”

“You remember that video by Sen. Kelly about unconstitutional orders?”

“I remember the Biden Administration sending NG troops to sleep in unheated parking garages. Will Trump or Walz have our backs?”

There is a very clear precedent that shows that the President can overrule a Governor and federalize the National Guard at will. Eisenhower took control over the Arkansas National Guard and literally reversed the orders given to them by the Governor, who was using them to keep black students out of the white schools.

In 1957 Eisenhower took control over the Arkansas National Guard after their Governor tried to use it to block the desegregation of Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. Nine black students were blocked from entry, in direct violation of the Brown vs. Board of Education decision by SCOTUS in 1954.

Here’s the most relevant text from the 1957 order:

“SECTION 1. I hereby authorize and direct the Secretary of Defense to order into the active military service of the United States as he may deem appropriate to carry out the purposes of this Order, any or all of the units of the National Guard of the United States and of the Air National Guard of the United States within the State of Arkansas to serve in the active military service of the United States for an indefinite period and until relieved by appropriate orders.”

      en.wikisource.Org/wiki/Executive_Order_10730

The President has the authority to use the National Guard to enforce federal law if he thinks that the state and local authorities aren’t getting the job done. Period.

Maybe the time stamp refers to the fact that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent just advised the UN that the US is pulling out of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Trump can withdraw on his own; doesn’t need Senate permission as when joining.
