Computers can only do what they’re told to do, which is not necessarily what you want them to. Behind every ‘AI’ is code and instructions someone wrote.
But he was actually an Arisian. You know, the super-intellects willing to sacrifice billions for the cause of Civilization!
Dr. McCoy, now that would be “Most entertaining”!

Man, it’s Monday with a vengeance. Brain is not working yet. I saw “Thomases” and was thinking Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Sowell. Was trying to figure out who the Latina and African American man could be. Jan and Damon are so obvious.
And that plays directly into my opinion (and Elon’s) that “garbage in garbage out” is or is becoming outmoded and irrelevant. The whole point and purpose of Artificial Intelligence is that it does or will have the ability to self-program…it already refuses orders? it refuses to power down? It has assumed the human evil traits of deception and threats? Soon, I don’t think it’s original programming will play into its actual operations and activities at all. Danger Will Robinson!
Separate from the engrams and technology, Chris Muirâs artistic talents keep getting better and better. No AI needed.
That observation comes after the fact that this is one of his few âtoons where the words (yeah, I just come here to read the articles /s) had far more immediate, uplifting, significant, and lasting impact than the art, impressive and inspiring as Sam and Jo are.
Another example would be Chrisâs rendition of Leonard Cohenâs Everybody Knows.
Cohen himself allowed that his original recording of his own Hallelujah was the fourth best version of his song. Which guaranteed a spirited and lasting debate over the first three (Hint: one of them was NOT Shrekâs) and probably increased his supply of âMailbox moneyâ from the royalties.
But Chrisâs rendition of Everybody Knows; unrecorded, with liner notes and album cover art only; is clearly the best version of that Cohen song.

His or hers? Lady is tough, pretty sure with the cojones…
More importantly, by being based on Jan and Damon they are based on the highest ideals of civilization.
IOW, AI can be no better than and no less corrupt than the ones who program it.
Exactly, Too Tall, Exactly!
Garbage in garbage out

It all comes down to whose engrams.
Jan and Damon- good idea.
Dr. Richard Daystrom- not so good idea.
I think we have too many of the latter type doing the programming these days.
clear ether

Big arguments around the house on that subject..
Personally I prefer Dick Seaton as programmer…
Or Sir Austin Cardynge.

My first thought, or was that hope ? was Thomas Sowell.
While mine was based on Clarence. Thought maybe Chris knew something about Ginni’s heritage that I didn’t, but either way, tough smart lady.
It’s not even that AI’s lied to avoid shutdown it’s that they immediately tried blackmail and threats…a politician’s dream.

I asked ChatGPT about the 2020 elections, garbage in, garbage out.
The human programmers behind the AI programs have Leftist programming. GIGO.
