I’m guessing Kiko is vigilant enough to make sure their drinks came straight from the bar, without any “stranger” participation. However, a first-time drinker like Mari doesn’t need any chemical but alcohol to get vulnerable.

True, after a string of loser boyfriends Daddy didn’t like but couldn’t criticize because it would have been counterproductive with Number Two Daughter, a bar is where my now fine son-in-law found her. But she was managing the pub, cold sober and serving drinks, when they met.
