Check the actions of the Left over the last twenty years or so – there’s only ONE recipe they know and respect, and they will never respect us until WE learn to cook with it.
Rep, Jamie Raskin has just stated that the first order of business is universal gun registration.
Followed by confiscation, naturally.
Please note that no law can compel a convicted felon to register or even admit possession of a firearm. A court decision in 1971 holds that under the Fifth Amendment, no criminal may be charged with failure to register a firearm because doing so would be self-incrimination.
Gun control has nothing to do with criminals. it has everything to do with ensuring the government is “safe” from the governed.
On a similar point, Newsom’s commutation of 548 death sentences in CA was done because, as he put it, the government should not be legalizing murder.
He somehow doesn’t feel the same way about abortion or self-defense.
Euthanasia of the “no longer useful” will likely be next.
“If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
Winston Churchill
Eon stirs up an interesting legal question… Am I a felon for not complying with registration before they come to collect, or after, because I see an unfortunate boating accident in my near future where many fine firearms will be ” lost “, except the ones that were sold to that nice collector wearing an Obama t-shirt. He seemed a bit nervous, meeting downtown behind the bus station. He paid in cash and seemed to be in a hurry to leave to show his acquisitions to the other members of his gun club. Who am I to judge?

Personally, I prefer the 50/200 yard zero.
