It’s not only the years, it’s also the miles.

Yeah, but they’re “highway miles,” so there’s that…

It’s also genetics. I’m 74; still a full head of hair (albeit a little thinner) and no gray at all. All the males on my mom’s side of the family had a full head of hair when they died. My wife’s dad is bald, and my son is thinning out at 30 years old.

Genetics indeed. In my case I was gray by 35, just like my dad, but still have a full head of hair at 70.

It’s the speed bumps, rust, a few dents and the dropped muffler.

We go grey early, I found my first one at 20…about three days after the wedding…one of my cousins hair was completely white in her teens… legend is it’s the Brown in us. I know a few from that town and they’re naturally silver haired from birth. neither of my sons have a grey hair but they’re going bald on top, that’s from their mother’s side, not guilty 😉

I’ll guess that Damon’s brain runs so hot that it turned his hair ash-colored.

My first white hair at eighteen. Fully white by thirty. More than forty years later a slight thinning at the back on top, but a thick pony tail can be combed or braided to conceal. Comes from Mom’s side in guys only for some reason which makes no sense if X linked…

My thick dark hair was streaked with gray by 18 also…got married and had a baby before that 18th birthday so I always blamed it on that.

As for Damon unless he has taken up the habits of J Crockett et al with the big bushy wigs, unlikely he has developed a John Blood-like do…his hair was a nap when black and would be a nap when gray, you see that many times on black men, looks pretty distinguished, like Sowell for instance…95 and still truckin’!

One of the most remarkable things Dr Thomas Sowell managed to do was to recover from Marxism.

“As a young Marxist in college during the 1950s heyday of the anti-Communist crusade led by Sen. Joseph McCarthy, I had more freedom to express my views in class, without fear of retaliation, than conservative students have on many campuses today.”

“Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it.”

Even more remarkable was his recovery from being a signatory to the Never Trump issue of the National Review in 2016; he was in good company with those who learned their lesson and took up reverence of the Trump Party…some of them I haven’t yet forgiven as I might have not been too much in their corner to begin with; looking at you Glenn Beck…

Women show their love of each other with compliments; men show their love with insults. Different approach.

I thought Damon kept it trimmed short to avoid the afro; maybe he was hiding the creeping gray?
