I asked Apple Maps to show me where Somaliland was. It had no idea. Best it could suggest was a district in SF called SOMA, and a town of the same name in India.

Riffraff, yes. Demonstrators are another problem, but not as prevalent in Texas.
Flying commercial is safer than private when you consider some of the places Skye needs to be.
A bizjet can get a MANPAD up its ass and the incident gets “buried”, but a commercial liner eating one might attract a little too much attention.
