It’s going to be a strange version of the Peter Principle: get a dom, test him until he breaks, dump him, find a new one… until you have one who’d rather kill than be dumped. All the best aspects of Communism and Islamism in one.
And by “best” I mean “horrifying yet predictable.”
81%, huh? So much for the panting over The Handmaid’s Tale being a rarity. Or does only 1 in 5 have any sort of clue about how serious he is about what he is?
Yes. Far too much to ask for. Ever gone grocery shopping with a woman? It doesn’t matter if she has a list, it doesn’t matter if she has favorite brands and flavors, it doesn’t matter if she already knows what the sales are or what sizes are the best value. Doesn’t matter if she knows where every single thing is located. Look up “drunkard’s walk”.
Possibly, but my survival instincts are pretty good too and I have to sleep sometime.
That and thankfully unlike the current crop of truck drivers, some people realize all by themselves that they’re dangerous behind a steering wheel, even with several attempts at genuine professional training and someone has to drive to the store and back. Besides, I’m retired and a trip to walmart is pretty good entertainment.

The socialists think the Palestinians are their allies. They aren’t, of course, the two systems are fundamentally incompatible. If the Muslims take over the socialist fellow travelers will the first ones eliminated. And, as usual they’ll be utterly surprised when it happens, as they always are.
Not really. The historical pattern has been Islamists plus socialists join up, seize power, and kill everybody else.
Then and only then do they turn on each other. And the Islamists generally win.
After they’ve exterminated the socialists, the Islamists will, just as invariably, turn on each other. Their belief being that one among them, and only one, has the privilege of being the One Most Perfect Servant of Allah. Who will of course receive Paradise on Earth.
Not that it will matter to anyone else at that point,
It was the realization of what she had freely offered to do, the willingness to do it, and the appreciation she would receive when completed.
And that was just the sandwich.
My late wife and I went through a lot of shit. She was a narcissist is what both of our daughters tell me, and looking back, and at her sisters, it makes sense.
But every now and then, the ‘good side’ came to the surface. Once when we were heading back home after spending three days in Texas burying her father, she just reached over and held my hand. Didn’t say anything, didn’t have to. The last time was a photo she took of me, digging in the front yard, trying to plant some tall grass around the utility transformer that was an eyesore. She’d posted it on her FB page with a compliment, six days before she passed. I didn’t see it until the following year. Effed up that day, for sure.

There are three ways to get a sandwich.
1) Ask her if she’d mind making you one
2) Tell her to make you one ‘or else’
3) Hint that you’re hungry
The best way to get one is number 3.
The worst way is number 2, you might get one but don’t eat it.

The sandwich thing is a metaphor for male dominance. This is anathema to feminists, but deep down they want this to some extent. So she happily starts making him one, then realizes the symbolism. Then she realizes that this is what she wants. Magnificent bastard indeed!
Good analysis. She is happy, satisfied, with her relationship. Now I think that the handmaids tale women are expressing what they really want, subconscious, or not. in their heads, President Trump offends them, but a “Foreign” ruler is acceptable. Being as captives to a dominant; I think they want to be helplessly “ravished”.

Was it May West that said a hard man is good to find? In that LBD I’m sure she found him.
Could Mamdani be a White Hat Manchurian plant? He feels about as real as Barry Soetoro’s digital “birth certificate” before it was immediately whisked away.. And even certain ultrapopular Influencers on the Right (excellent as they may be) are feeling like… groomed plants? It’s like Twilight Zone Clown World suddenly morphed into Nothing Is Real World. Discomforting.
But if Mamdani is the psyop I suspect he is then he’s there for a reason, a reason worked out years ago. Who knows anything at this point. The Makes No Sense meter is way beyond what it was in 2020..
London has a moose slime mayor and nothing untoward has happened there.
PS I had a Covert Narcissist for a wife, I divorced her, wish I had done it much, much sooner
Except for the rampant stabbings in the streets, ‘no-go’ zones the police aren’t allowed in and the English becoming minorities in their own country…much like NYC but with a few historical sites left partially intact…for now. I assume you meant that but the thought police still leftover from the last administration changed it after you wrote it 😉
The best relationship of all is when he loves her enough and she loves him enough that each one wants to do things for the other. I have always wanted to make him happy and did my best to do so, and he was the same with me.
When he called me while on his way to work because he was having severe pain, and wanted me to tell him what to do (I’m a nurse) I told him to go straight to the nearest emergency room and then broke every speed law ever written (on a mountain road!) to get to him as fast as I could. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer he went with me to every appointment and every procedure I went through because he knew I needed him, even though I never said a word. When he couldn’t be there (for radiation treatment and for the surgery) he was right outside and got to me as soon as he was allowed. My oncologist’s name for us was “the lovebirds” even though I was 68 at the time and he was 73.
As far as I am concerned, he was and is as close to perfect a husband as it is possible to be and neither of us ever even tried to push the other around.
All those leftist white commie “women” who take The Handmaid’s Tale as a foretold dystopian future prophecy under conservative and MAGA governance … what they have totally missed, or are just completely ignorant about, is that the author (Margaret Atwood) was largely inspired to write her novel after visiting Afghanistan in 1978 and noticing all of the Islamic women veiled in their chardors (as she calls the burquas).
Keep in mind that Atwood, a Canadian (I believe) had to write her novel with a Western viewpoint to sell her novels to a Western audience. So she in effect Islamized the Christian religion and put it into a dystopian and post Civil War future America.
If she had written the novel with an Islamic viewpoint, it would have sold a lot less novels in the West because of the unfamiliarity with Eastern and Islamic cultures, and she could very well have gotten a fatwa issued on her head by some Islamist mullah or crazed cleric. Here is a good case-in-point … author Salman Rushdie’s The Satanic Verses which was published a few years after Atwood’s novel.
So, she chose to bastardize the Christian religion in her dystopian fictional tale. Christians, by and large, do not proclaim death edicts for blasphemy and chop off the heads of dissenters.
I’ll note that there were those witch trials and inquisitions some centuries ago, but Christianity, unlike Islam, has been vastly reformed.
Yet … these libtard women in NYC voted (overwhelmingly to my understanding) for Mandami, the Islamic socialist who undoubtedly bleeds tyrannical totalitarian blood if scratched deep enough.
This seem a lot like a brood of hens voting for Colonel Sanders, doesn’t it? But, this just further illustrates the severe cognitive dissonance within the leftist movement.
Anyways … you can read this article by Atwood published some 24 years ago in which she describes her visit to Afghanistan as an inspiration to write her novel.
I doubt those dimwitted protesters dressed up as Atwood’s “handmaids” are even aware of this write-up that she penned not so long after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Perhaps Atwood would be ostracized by her readers the same way J.K. Rowling has been thrown to the curb by so many of her sexually confused readers?!?
She is Canadian. I met her once, probably around 1971 or 72, when our English teacher, a professor on sabbatical from the local University, took several of us that he thought might be aspiring writers on a field trip to see her, Farley Mowat and a few others I can’t remember but might have included Mordecai Richler. It was an informal meeting after a speaking event and there were hardly any others there when we met. The one thing I remember is that Farley Mowat spent as much time autographing various parts of the girls in the group with a felt marker as he did talking to us. I found out later that our teacher was well respected nationally in writing circles but took a couple of years every so often to teach at a high school just to see if he could make a difference. I think I turned out 180 degrees from the difference he wanted to make though, not a bad thing from my viewpoint. I graduated in ’72 so it couldn’t have been later than that.

By the time they find out ‘the handmaid’s tale’ is pure fiction and what they voted in is very real, it will be far too late.
1/3 of the Jews voted for him, fer chrissake.
@B
The way of Jewry is a hard row to hoe.
That 1/3 you speak of is indicative of the hatred they have for their own heritage.
We constantly underestimate the powerful effects of hormones on rationaity. That goes for the male ones, too (see Zed meets Jack Cates).

Women are beautifully packaged verbs.
It’s the exact opposite in this house.

That is so much more than I could hope for, I literally cannot hope for it.
But if true, oh man, what a delicious thing.
Why can’t we do sneaky stuff like lefties do? Yeah, I know why, but it seems unfair.

Neither Zed nor Sam would ever allow Feminism to infiltrate and poison their relationship. Many other unfortunate couples are not as insightful.
