1/6 was not a storm. It was a set up. Just like the chink virus. My late father once told me “I can see where things are headed. I’m glad I won’t be here to see it” At the time, I chalked it up to his being tired. In less that two years, I turn 70. Now, I get it. Unlike him, I hope I’m still here for the storm. Got my “umbrella” ready.

My father was a B-17 pilot and flew 35 combat missions over Europe.

RHT, first let me express my awe of the American Hero that your Dad was. Lots of old ones in this part of teh fla and I have had the honor of shaking the hands of many, but those opportunities are rarer now as they are all in their nineties. So many times my thanks now are given via their survivors, as I am offering to you now. God bless his soul.

Yes it was a setup, in the sense of their weaponization of everything; they will not let an opportunity to turn Constitutional freedom into a created tragedy by whatever means necessary. The planned and absolutely protected right to assemble and protest the vetting of the theft of their American Presidency was joined by organized squads of violent actors and instigators, and their media made damn sure to maximize the blame where it didn’t belong. And the subsequent use of their law enforcement to track down, terrorize, and incarcerate any who dared just to innocently be there is noting but prior restraint of Constitutional rights by terrifying example.

It was not a storm, but it absolutely was a storm warning. The recent hurricane/tropical storm that wasn’t missed us here entirely. But us Floridiots know what can happen and prep accordingly. Prepping for the real storm on DC is advisable too, and 1/6 was and is a giant hairy ball of precursors, warnings and advisories for it.

      • July 12, 2021 at 6:28 am

        Found this interesting-
“Despite his theological title as the “Lord of Lies”, the refusal to lie is central to the moral position of the character – he sees himself as a neutral or amoral facilitator of forces within individuals, and Lucifer actively and effectively combats what he regards as corrupting moral codes. While he avoids lying, his morality seldom extends to compassion and Lucifer regards the sacrifice of millions of souls as unimportant collateral damage; there are few, if any, beings that he respects and even fewer for whom he cares.”

Repealing the 17th Amendment would be a good start. Have the Senators really care about their home States instead of a second popularity contest like the House of Representatives is.

The Only way that will happen is a Convention of States.

    REPLY
    • July 12, 2021 at 7:05 am

The repeal would also have to include a clause stating the only way a Senator can be elected/selected is by the individual state legislatures. One of the things that drove the 17th Amendment is that some states had already switched to electing their US Senators by popular vote, something that in the end corrupted the Senate even more than it already was.

A Senator must be reminded that he/she serves at the pleasure of their state and NOT the electorate (or those who paid to get them elected).

    Eh, Wot?

    In 1945 he said:

The ‘educated-strata’ are notorious for being easily fooled and brought in behind the pied piper of the day

“Why you fool, it’s the educated reader who CAN be gulled. All our difficulty comes with the others. When did you meet a workman who believes the papers? He takes it for granted that they’re all propaganda and skips the leading articles. He buys his paper for the football results and the little paragraphs about girls falling out of windows and corpses found in Mayfair flats.

He is our problem. We have to recondition him. But the educated public, the people who read the high-brow weeklies, don’t need reconditioning. They’re all right already. They’ll believe anything.”

Communism maybe, tyranny definitely not. Putin still reigns in Russia. If in 10-20 years “Communism with Chinese characteristics” implodes they will, after a long cold march through chaos, still have to come to grips with self-government.
I don’t think people fully appreciate the minor miracle that is the US Constitution, or the English Common Law it is founded on.
The real tragedy is that, given the wonderful foundation we were given, we have elected to rest on our laurels and degenerate rather than reinforce the Classical Liberal teachings the Founders and Framers enjoyed and strive to improve on their accomplishments.
Now we have to “stop digging”, crawl out of the hole we find ourselves in, and reeducate ourselves in things like Critical Thinking, (which of course is entirely unrelated to Critical Theory).

So speaking of January 6…as a resident of the DC bubble, it took me awhile to figure out why Nancy and her ilk went so snake shit about what happened, besides raw political opportunism.

    They are truly scared shitless.

No, seriously, they are scared shitless because they learned they were not invincible. That they could not hide behind their bureaucracy, corruption, and police state.

Remember NONE of the “insurrectionists” from January 6 was armed. NOT ONE…if they had been, and had been serious about doing what they are accused of, it would have truly been a different story because we NOW know that Nancy and the idiot DC mayor turned down offers of help from the National Guard and military.

It could have been dozens of dead Democratic Congresscritters just like James Hodgkinson tried to do the Republican softball team. Then imagine how things might have turned out.

So make no mistake, they know that citizens don’t need F-15s and nukes to turn away corrupt governments.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Athens_(1946)

That’s why they are going so crazy and keep trying to whip up this story again…gun control will never work because people will not surrender their guns…and they are desperate to prevent voter integrity laws from taking effect because they can’t cheat like they did in 2020.

Yup, I’m glad my parents are both gone some days….cuz this nonsense woulda killed my daddy in any event.

But they are desperate. Hopefully Joe can hold on until after 2022…then when they bump him off, Kamala can face some impeachment circuses like Trump did to keep her busy….when she’s not smoking weed.

OH, and great cartoons at the swimming hole…keep ’em coming…if you know what I mean
