So how many shell casings did Zed have to pick up outside the Opera Hall? Inquiring minds want to know.

“The First Millennial.’ Cold. But accurate.

There also were the elites begging their families for a regular stipend from some family assets. Some were positions, properties, or estates which required some actual work. Others were like the trust fund babies, of which I went to school with many, who have their regular trust fund dispersal.
Like the socialists and communists of the CCCP elite with their little work jobs for the Apparatchik and the elite bosses, little positive or productive ever resulted. And now they want to expand it to all having a disincentive making universal dispersal. We all can be trust fund babies of the State, which will likely be an ever decreasing pie to be split up due to the lack of incentive and lack of reward for actually producing value and wealth. We currently have ensured income for the top 1% and right side of the wealth curve, for the bankers and top ownership elite due to laws, regulations, policies. They buy their ensured results. They buy their lack of equality of opportunity for most.
Aye, Mate! Greed and Envy have screwed the pooch.
I have no answer right now. Too tired and the war and coup is way to interesting times for me tonight. I shall retreat to my jungle and await talking with Zaphod Beezlebox the next time he stops by and again bothers me by asking me questions.

The obvious more interesting experiences than Zaphod today were the beautiful black snake, the hawk flying about and even landing on the ground for a moment, the Gopher tortoise, not even mentioning the multitude of various butterflies and some birds that have not been eaten by the hawk and its fledglings, as well as the oak and other trees. .

    Like history, Marxism repeats itself…and
it is both tragedy and farce.

Unfortunately we have to endure the former before we can expose the latter.

The less enduring and the more exposing the better at this point. Get the evil out in the light where it can scurry around and be stepped on.

Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. — Ephesians 5:11

      And this, which was written over 120 years ago by Ellen White, seems prophetic at this stage;

The people of the United States have been a favored people; but when they restrict religious liberty, surrender Protestantism, and give countenance to popery, the measure of their guilt will be full, and “national apostasy” will be registered in the books of heaven. The result of this apostasy will be national ruin. The Review and Herald, May 2, 1893.

By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. Testimonies for the Church 5:451.

Through spiritualism, Satan appears as a benefactor of the race, healing the diseases of the people, and professing to present a new and more exalted system of religious faith; but at the same time he works as a destroyer…. Mar 216.4

While appearing to the children of men as a great physician who can heal all their maladies, he will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation…. Mar 216.5

And then the great deceiver will persuade men that those who serve God are causing these evils. 92The Great Controversy, 589, 590.

The more I read about Karl Marx, the more I wonder why anyone… anyone… would lend an ounce of credence to his irrational theories, let alone attempt to create his communist utopia.

To date, I’ve found nothing remotely positive about Karl Marx. He was a repellent, angry nasty piece of crap who should be as thoroughly ostracized as Hitler or any other horrid historical figure. Certainly his peers (his betters) rejected his radical theories and the governments of Germany, France and others took a dim view of his revolutionary activism & publications.

The problem then is the same as the problem now.
Karl Marx was known for what he wrote, not what others knew about him, and what he wrote was the claim that he could show the way to an Earthly Paradise.
Then, as now, there are many who will turn a blind eye to the realities of Human Nature, and indeed life in general, simply because they _want_ that Paradise so badly.
So badly in fact they are ready, willing, and able to create Hell on Earth in the name of their cause and willfully ignore the blood baths and mindless misery of earlier attempts just because _they_ were not running the show.
And of course their poor grasp of reality prevents them from realizing that _they_ won’t be running said show, just the tyrants.

Yesterday, we heard Blappity! Blappity! Kawhomp! several times. Went outside and there were six vultures having a meeting on our roof. Our presence startled them and they took flight, then promptly kettled over us. We couldn’t smell what attracted them, which was worrisome for a bit, and so I retrieved the cat from hiding under the F-350 just to make sure he’s safe. Vultures finally drifted away and out of sight over the hill.

Considering this is a tourist destination, and two VRBO properties are just below us, it’s always possible that some Pantyfa parents have brought their stench out here, and that’s what the vultures were smelling. Pantyfa itself won’t be out here; no one will put up with their BS.

He barely touches on the actual reason for the hordes of clueless commie converts…it is the cradle to commie indoctrination in this country’s “schools” to which we have so fully surrendered them. I actually find that near-miss element a lot with O’Rourke’ writing; to me even the humor seems stilted.

But where he really lost me was with his series of “appearances” as one of the celebrity panel on National Public Radio’s Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me. Disappointing, embarrassing, and downright pussified.

He might delve much more into the public schools and academia in his book …

What I would really, really like to hear is the civil war Union Song “Rally Round the Flag Boys” bootlegged at an NFL game so when those overpaid traitorous pampered pukes kneel the ridicule will go the lowest part of their souls. My so-called computer doesn’t respond very well to my attempts at downloading the song, but with Mr. Muir’s permission, I think he could download a good version of the song (The Weavers, Rosanne Cash, etc) and we could shame these NFL pukes enough so they will stop being SJW pussies and become Americans.

Not usually a big fan of the Babble-on Bee; tends toward drawn out TL;DR versions of only moderately funny satire…but DT retweeting this headline got me to go there…

    “Democrats Propose Mail-In Debates”

Picking up on the vote by mail catastrophe-in-waiting, the Dims stated reluctance to let their boy on stage with The Don at all, Biden’s meltdowns mid-sentence and on-camera one day and fireball delivery the next…and Trump’s resultant (and f’ing brilliant!) call for independent pre-debate drug tests in those few words…

That’s funny right there. I don’t care who you are. Well, maybe not if you’re Biden.
