In a progressive town, if your pool had a crack in it and maybe leaked clorine, then the cost of remediating the condition could be 20 times the cost of just tearing it out and filling it with dirt. Think of taking tons of soil beyond the pools original depth for at least 10 or more feet, then after tests, lining the fill placed in it with various clay and dirt layered as per government REGULATIONS by a certified contractor. All of that must be inspected by the government inspector, and signed off on. She wanted it by Thanksgiving! Maybe the next Thanksgiving.
Maybe that’s where she put her 33,000+ emails and some still unreported servers?

They want to try and keep the assets out of the fed’s hands if Trump is elected and they lose their “sovereign immunity”. Just like Baby Doc Duvalier moved billions out of Haiti before he was ousted. He, like other scoundrels and dictators, moves to France with their stolen fortunes, secure in the knowledge that France will never extradite them while they have money. France is the last refuge of scoundrels, thieves, rapists, pedophiles, desperadoes, dastards, bastards, murderers and tyrants – if they have money, that is. I have no doubt the Clintons and Obamas would be welcomed to France with open arms.

  • November 1, 2016 at 9:43 pm

Afraid they’re losing, are they? Oh, they should… be afraid. Be very afraid.

Don’t remember the title, but a very long time ago, i read a sci-fi story about a town that held mayoral elections, and once the mayor was elected, the entire population stoned him to death. Some sort of post-apocalyptic episode or something.

Even Ayn Rand said the world could be stopped at will. She was too erratic for me, but occasionally made a good point.

As Nilsson said, a point in every direction is the same as no point at all.

Anyway, go vote next week. It’s more important now than ever before. Wear a respirator, carry a vinaigrette in your purse, pig out on chocolate-covered caramels – whatever, but puh-leeze go vote. If you don’t, you GIVE the election to the Bad People on a platter.

Except “The Lottery” didn’t have an election, it had a lottery to select the scapegoat who would be stoned to death. I think Delilah’s memory merged “The Lottery” with a different sci-fi story. I can’t quite place the author or title, but there was one story in the 50’s or 60’s where the Mayor was allowed to rape and steal, with the police helping, but would be executed at the end of his term.

Well.. according to Wikipedia, the Overton Window is the range of ideas the public will accept. It includes a range of policies considered politically acceptable in the current climate of public opinion, which a politician can recommend without being considered too extreme to gain or keep public office.

      • November 1, 2016 at 11:05 pm
        epilitimus

As I understand it the central idea behind the Overton Window concept is that something that is currently unacceptable can be made acceptable by proposing something even worse, e.g. “everyone should pay a 90% income tax…oh you won’t accept that…okay how about 40%?”

      • November 1, 2016 at 11:26 pm
        epilitimus

Often it is used in conjunction with the public safety meme. e.g. after a mass shooting it is common to hear calls for a total ban on fire arms followed by public push back resulting in some sort of “compromise” position being offered which invariably: a)would not have stopped the event in question, and b) involves the govt. having eben more power than it did before.

I also believe either Bill or Hillary would sacrifice the other if push came to shove. There’s been no love there for a looong time, if ever. Step two would require a non US citizenship, or at least plausible deniability. Article 90 of the UCMJ makes it clear that military personnel have an obligation and a duty to only obey Lawful orders and indeed have an obligation to disobey Unlawful orders, including orders by the president that do not comply with the UCMJ.
The moral and legal obligation is to the U.S. Constitution and not to those who would issue unlawful orders, especially if those orders are in direct violation of the Constitution and the UCMJ.

You’re talking about ordering military drone strikes on US citizens on American soil. The excuse ‘just following orders’ was the basis for convicting Nazi bigwigs at the Nuremburg trials.

Ordering the military to engage in drone strikes on US citizens is an illegal order. I don’t know how much more clearly I can put that.

        Deplorable Old Codger

Ah, Lovely Delilah, your article 90 post fails to mention one VERY important point. While service people do not have to obey an unlawful order, there is nothing which I have ever read or heard of which in any way defines what might constitute an “unlawful order”. Indeed, so far as I am aware, the only way to test whether a given order is “lawful” or not would be to disobey it. Unfortunately, that would very likely involve a Court Martial. Do you understand how a Court Martial works? A JAG officer is assigned to prosecute the case. Unless the defendant is sufficiently independently to be able to hire a civilian defense counsel who is sufficiently proficient in MILITARY law and precedent to actually do the defendant any good, the same JAG office will assign ANOTHER JAG lawyer to defend the hapless wight. Then the two Jag officers try the case before three other HIGH RANKING OFFICERS so the whole alleged “trial” is acted out using and before members of the EXACT SAME POWER ELITE threatened by the defendant’s disobedience! Does that sound like a recipe for justice to you? To me it sounds like just another catch 22.

Actually, it is somewhat better than it was when I went into the USAF in ’73. Back then the Area Defense Counsel (the “defense attorney”) was part of the Judge Advocate General’s command but their annual OER (Officer Efficiency Report) was written by the Host Wing Commander (i.e. the HMFIC at any USAF base. The “Base Commander”is merely in command of the air base squadron). Guess who brings the complaint/indictment against someone being court martialled? THE HOST WING COMMANDER! Imagine the conviction rate if all the defense attorneys in a given area worked for the District Attorney?!

When I enlisted, raising your right hand was tantamount to giving away pretty much every right enumerated by the Bill of Rights! It isn’t much better today. And yet young men and women continue to stand up to be ready in the night to do violence on our behalf so that slime balls such as Hildabeast, Willy Jeff, Dear Leader, Nancy (pass the bill so we can find out what is in it) Pelosi et al can sleep peacefully in their beds!

      • November 2, 2016 at 10:47 am
        markm

There are no clear and simple rules for determining an order is illegal, because our politicians will game and twist any clear and simple rule – starting with the Constitution. But there are two guides to use in thinking about this:

        1. The Constitution of the USA: This is the basis for all law in our country. If something violates the Constitution in it’s original meaning, it’s unlawful. There are two problems in interpretation. One is that some words have changed in meaning since 1787; e.g. “regulation” in the 2nd amendment did not mean what gun-grabbers want it to mean, nor in the interstate commerce clause did it mean Congress can “regulate” commerce right out of existence. (And I hope Scalia is burning in hell for upholding federal marijuana laws as regulation of interstate commerce.) The second is that lawyers and the Supreme Court have twisted the plain language into pretzels in trying to justify whatever other branches of government decided to do that they approve of, and occasionally in “discovering” a new right when they disapprove. To honestly base refusing an order on the Constitution, you might have to ignore all that twisted logic – and that means that you’ll lose in court if it comes to that.

        2. The Nuremberg decision. That is, there are some things so wrong that no legislation or decree can make it right – but exactly what these are is foggy.

But an order to search for guns (which will inevitably also involve rounding up the gun-owners) among people who have violated no law except keeping their guns is clearly both unconstitutional and a crime against humanity.

      • November 2, 2016 at 2:22 pm
        Interventor

In the army, prosecutor, defending lawyer and judge report to three different commanders.

      • November 2, 2016 at 6:23 pm

Interventor is generally right. In addition, if the accused is enlisted, at least one-third of the court must also be enlisted. For summary courts the trial council and defense council may report to the same commander. In my past experience, I have premptorially challenged from the court because he was too smart. Either council can challenge any court officer if the council can show cause. For general courts, the trial is held under the auspices of JAG corps, but similar rules apply. The civilian lawyers that participate in military trials, in my experience are very, very good.

The reason there is a perception that courts martial are “rigged” is that before a service person can be charged, the trial council must be able to complete hard paperwork covering the elements of proof. Unless every element is completely covered, the soldier is generally not charged. That means, unlike civilian trials, the trial council must have absolute proof in writing and that must be presented to the accused and his/her council at the time of the signing of the charges. If the soldier is not presented with the charges to sign within 30 days of being placed under arrest, he should be turned loose for violation of his habeus corpus.

In truth, though, I won 25 trials as trial council and one as defense council. Upon winning the defense, I had a letter of reprimand from the pentagon for my attitude. Note to any of you service people that may be facing an unholy terror of a trial council. Request that officer as your defense council before you sign the charges. You DO have your choice of council or the trial CAN NOT proceed.

Sorry, I have a habit of running on (but winning courts martial),

“You’re talking about ordering military drone strikes on US citizens on American soil. ”

No, NOT on American soil. There was the case (during this O’Bozo administration), where a US citizen was “droned” when he went overseas (to Yemen, I believe) and was working with/training with an Al Quida group.

If I were being sworn in at noon on 20 January, I would have the arrest warrants in a folder on the dais, and sign them as my first act as President, then announce it as the first words of the speech.
Then I would sign an EO cancelling all of PBHO, pbuh’s EOs with perhaps two exceptions. (There are a few that would need continuity or replacement rather than cancellation; I’d save them for later in the afternoon.)
Then if Congress had the Obamacare Cancellation Act ready for signature, I’d sign that.
Then I might say a few words appropriate to the occasion, probably a slight rewrite of some of Jefferson’s best lines…

The Overton Window is fast moving and expanding. The vast progressive education and brainwashing system results are being changed by the vast educating of the public and the awakening of the masses. The sheep are beginning to see. All of the absurd positions are becoming visible to the sheep. they see the slaughterhouse for what it is, and the farmer / herder for who he is. They see that the dog works with the farmer. They are beginning to realize that they are not sheep.

They want to be out of range of control when their own control breaks down and the people call them to answer for what they have done.
    The people can see again.
    Scales drop from eyes.
Concepts that are true no longer are rejected as they did not fit in the old Overton Window. The understanding of truth and reality is growing so fast that it might catch the Clintons and Obamas and millions more in their sight, and then desire to have them answer. Hopefully before they have skedaddled.

The Overton Window is what people are able to percieve.

People are perceiving what the Clintons and Obamas have actually done as their education and knowledge of truth increases. Some speak of moving the Overton Window. Some speak of enlarging the Overton Window. The Overton Window is always personal, yet the masses of people make up a societal Overton Window. PC is meant to collapse the Overton Window so that only certain things can be seen, thus hiding all else, including all of the nefarious intended activity.
A Progressive educated person is a person with a collapsed Overton Window. useful Idiots have collapsed Overton Windows.
If it is not in a person’s Overton Window, they do not accept it as true or often as even existing.

Brother NotYet, I get your meaning, but right now the expansion is all on the other side of what is seen as possible and acceptable; the last eight years of economic, political, and social change (breakdown) is but a blip compared to the left/prog/NWO agenda to expand that thing from O. Window to O. Wall…as I said above, they are capable of anything.

If we can prevent that, we will need us a new window. And it would pretty much have to be called the Trump Window. Imagine those possibilities.

Agreed, guys. To me that is a huge F.U. to all of us by appointing Kadzik to be in charge of the investigation.
My window says all the prog and career “civil servants” (corrupt), lefty non-constitution, rule from the bench judges, State Dept. (for any country but ours), Dept of Justice (HAH!), F.B. Incompetents, I. R(oyally). Screw. you, Democrat National Rats, Corrupt election officials, Congress & their toadies, the President and his toadies, Hillary and All her toadies including All the presstitutes, TV prompter readers, and any other freaking twit that claims to be an “elite”; need to meet hemp rope and a street light.
That’s just a quick thought. Maybe I will expand later on how I really feel.
Off to the Range, great steak and brews, then to find the lovely wife!

I imagine that minimally a drum head trial carried out or a people’s soviet with a democratic vote will be used to determine those fates.

Infrared is outside of our visual window. that we cannot change. The Overton window can be changed by olearning and education.

How many people are placing bets on whether she and sundry others get shiny bracelets or zip-tied like a gang perp on a regular Saturday night in any Demoncrat run city in the USA? I also bet there are several agents from various agencies wanting to do the honors.

      What a lovely thought, Pamela…

Neither Bill or the Hildabeast would last long in prison. The Hildabeast isn’t popular at the best of times and her health appears fragile. Bill… well, let’s just say pedophiles aren’t popular in prison populations.

Alrighty, with what has oozed up from the deep web yesterday on the presence of a pedophile sex slave ring outlined in files in the Weiner laptop seized by the NYPD involving Huma, Hillary, Bill and J. Epstein and the Lolita Express, I don’t think Canckels makes it to the weekend. Too many others are named including Congress critters and WH staff for this to go to much further before the Clinton Crime Syndicate cranks up the violence.

Trump is right, drain the swamp and shoot every last MOFO you uncover.

    Spin
I threw up in my mouth a little when I learned of this. It left a bad taste but probably not equal to the one that is in the mouths of all those who voted early for her Canckelness, the Bad Mommy of K Street.

I’ll bet you anything that was the thumb drive (life insurance) that Wiener Boy dropped at the DD. Zed must of got it to his boys at darkgov (yes there are still some patriots there).

Man, I hope that could be true. Even the enlightened ones can’t ignore that.

Get out and vote people, make sure every person that will vote right shows up. No excuses. I want to see a landslide.

    Chris,

Is the Atlas on the moving van a hat tip to Atlas Shrugs, or just coincidence?

Maybe a slick reference by CM, but it’s a real co-op of movers:

They do international relocations too. Just saying.

The Window has them in its sights, at least those of the military and intelligence community.
The Counter Coup began a couple of days ago.
Dr. Steve Pechenik, co author of the Clancy novels and a man who has overthrown nations for the USA just said this on Alex Jones Show.

That giant and expanding window of aberrance to what is acceptable and normal is about to get Tsunamied by the cascade of preference that is turning into a tidal wave, prayers to God that it is in time to wash through their window to Gomorrah, drowning them all.

Then we can help pry open the Trump window to, as was quoted above, “change and reverse decades of failure, and to work with the American people to create generations of success.”

That simple sentence indicates an understanding of the seminal truth, that it is the job of government to incubate and facilitate, not regulate and suffocate, capitalism. The American Dream is on life support, but it ain’t dead yet.

I predict the day after the election, if Trump WINS 🙂

Obozo will pardon Hillary and Bill, and probably Huma, and Cheryl Mills for everything, cry that Bush 41 did it for Iran-Contra, say it’s for the “good of the country” to “move on” and then happily retire to his Hawaiian estate or wherever the hell and then laugh his ass of the rest of his miserable life at how they pulled a fast one on the stupid FOOKIN’ peasants. (Us)

Hillary and Bill will close down their foundation, having made their pile, then fade off into the sunset and make more $$ giving speeches to liberal groups about how the election was “stolen” by those stupid fookin’ deplorables (us) and try to be more relevant than Al Gore was after 2000.

GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! The only really enjoyable part will be watching how soon the Clintons fade into a foot note in history as they no longer have the power to sell our country down the river for a cool million or two and no one cares anymore WTF they say or do….

SIGH, so I think Jan should definitely go down to the DDQ, put on a half-shirt and sell some beer, and whisky, and meat, and, well, boobs.

It’s going to be a LONNNNGGGG weekend going into this election.

    Stay safe and stay thirsty.

In watching this campaign year proceed, with a middle-aged man sending photos of himself to teenaged girls (pedos out!) on the same computer that his wife’s ’employer’ is using to store secure material, I no longer find it strange that dogs are tempted by the smell of turds.

Will the members of VTSU 666 be brought to justice quickly once Trump wins on Tuesday? Or, like the thieves and scoundrels they are, their exits are carefully planned?
