    We’re all thinking it.

    • Chris Muir

I think I laughed for 5 minutes with your distillation there, formwiz! heh

      • WayneM

        Well, we were… LOL

      • jackdeth72

        “I’ll be in my bunk.”

    • Well, that’s just rude. Someone – Sam, maybe? – should smack that moron silly.

      • jackdeth72

“Hot Mike” Mistakes are a dime a dozen.

        • Bill G

          “Hot”, indeed.

          • Unca Walt

            Who’s this guy, “Mike”?

        • John

Yeah, CVC helmets are notorious for sticky transmit switches.

  • Grunt GI

Enjoying the fashion show. Keep it..er…cumming.

Or, as they also say, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

    All us deplorables approve.

    • Steve_1066

Speaking of ‘Deplorables’, one of the events in D.C. is apparently named the ‘DeploraBall’! I applaud the creativity in the name but my maiden aunt has gotten the vapors!

      • Ed Woods

My maternal grandma was a bible-toting southern girl. She kept a fifth of Four Roses on a shelf over the kitchen sink. For medicinal purposes only, of course. She used to get a “touch of the vapors” every day along about five o’clock.

    • Cliff H

Regarding the fashions – it occurred to me just the other day that this being set in Texas they really need to be packing some sort of sidearm, preferably a single-action Colt variant or maybe an S&W Schofield.

  • Pamela

Oh Lord. Sam you need to brace yourself.

    • noncom

      Incoming…

  • NotYetInACamp

    Girlfriends have demanded ……
    never mind.

  • epilitimus

A hypothetical from yesterday…does it still count as plumber’s crack if Sam or Naomi is the plumber?

    • JTC

Looks more like camel’s crack in Naomi’s case…

  • JTC

Those shorts…and what the hell is Naomi nearly wearing?

20 minutes?!?! I’d be lucky to make 20 seconds!

    • azscram

I don’t know what Naomi has on today, but that dress from yesterday pushed all of my buttons.

  • sgtcpt

Didn’t get a chance to reply yesterday, but as a third generation plumber this little thought. “The society which scorns excellence in plumbing as a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because it is an exalted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy: neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water”. John Gardner

  • Spin Drift

Betty, oh Betty, Happy Belated Birthday. Number 94.

    Spin
    “Grow some balls”

    • JTC

      95 innit?

  • DT @ 17 and counting. Friday will dawn cold, wet and not amenable to protests. Saturday will be worse.

I’m in a good mood. I will therefore only wish walking pneumonia on them. Since they’re mostly vegans, none of them will take advantage of chicken soup’s healing qualities. (gigglesnort!)

    • Deplorable B Woodman

      Sounds like one of our running cadences;
      “Boyfriend had a pickup
      Lulu had a duck
Boyfriend liked to grind the gears
      Lulu liked to—-
Bang bang Lulu, Lulu bang bang, Bang bang Lulu, Lulu bang bang”
      (on to the second verse….etc)

      • Deplorable B Woodman

Oops. Double post. My bad kindle.

      • John

        God, that takes me back.

        • John

          Sorry, that was for DBW.

    • Deplorable B Woodman

      DT,
What I was going to say was, turn on the fire hoses on them. Drench them goooood. Guar-an-damn-tee they’ll get “walking pneumonia and the boogie woogie blues”.

  • Deplorable B Woodman

    Sounds like one of our running cadences;
    “Boyfriend had a pickup
    Lulu had a duck
Boyfriend liked to grind the gears
    Lulu liked to—-
Bang bang Lulu, Lulu bang bang, Bang bang Lulu, Lulu bang bang”
    (on to the second verse….etc)

    • I remember the last line of that cadence, and I believe it was a bit different in those last two lines. Anyone?

      • Hmm, coming back to me:
        “Bang bang Lulu
        Lulu bang all day
        Who we gonna bang bang
        If Lulu goes away”

      • S Hooks

I remember quite a few of them, but I’d rather not post them. When I was in college I lived for a while near Doug Clark in Carrboro, NC. I used to stop by and watch them (Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts – band) practice. I got to hear all their songs. They were, as the saying goes, a real hoot!

    • Chris Muir

What was that song..”O Black Betty, bamalam, etc?

  • jackdeth72

    *Ahem*

“Here’s to our wives and our sweet hearts…. May they never meet!”

*”Lucky Jack” Aubrey: ‘Masters & Commanders’*

    • Bill G

And then there’s always the classic toast to shock the prim and proper:
“Here’s to the happiest moments of my life,
Spent in the arms of another man’s wife!
      My mother.”

      • jackdeth72

        *Ahem*

        “Here’s to my wife.
        The love of my life.
        I’ll love her forevermore.
        She has big breasts,
        Blonde hair.
        And owns a liquor store!”

        *W.C. Fields*

  • Bill G

I hope the bangs and crashes were coyotes and their gummint support team.

  • The Old Guy

    Some girls work in factories
    Some girls work in stores
But Lulu works in a hotel
With forty other – Bang Bang, Lulu
    Lulu’s gone away
    Whose gonna bang on Lulu,
    When Lulu’ gone away?

    Carpenter School, Eighth Grade 1950

    The Old Guy

    • Unca Walt

      Gawd. We ARE old…

      • RooftopVoter

        CLASSIC dammit, CLASSIC………….

Old is for when you are old………..

  • Arkelk

Is Naomi’s last comment a reference to Marlene Dietrich’s song “Naughty Lola”?

  • JTC

    Speaking of gone away,

    http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/obama-climbs-to-60-percent-approval-in-final-presidential-approval-rating-post-abc-poll-finds/ar-AAlYXuN?li=BBnb7Kz

Wonder if that’s the poll where they called me and asked if I approved of Bobo’s last official act, and I said yes, my wife said yes, and I put all three cats and dogs on the phone and they said “Yowwwlllll”. That’s the same response they give when asked if they want a treat, so that means YES!

    • Cliff H

His approval rating soared only because he gained the votes of the numerous people he pardoned or commuted sentences on in the last few days. The number was definitely high enough to move the ball.

      • Deplorable B Woodman

The only reason The O’s exit numbers are so “high” is that the pollsters rigged the poll, only 20 – 23% of those questioned were Republican/conservative, instead of a more balanced 33 – 50% (depending on how you split the constituancy).
Assholes will continue to be assholes, no matter what or when. And that includes the DemSM as well as O’Bozo.

    • JTC

Sadly, he won’t really go away,

“The president is likely to return to his community activist roots, according to USA Today. That will likely include work on issues that were important to him during his presidency, such as gun control, immigration, nuclear nonproliferation, race relations and criminal justice reform.”

My brain read that first light as communist activity roots…which is partially confirmed with his (incomplete of course) issues list. What he’ll also do is follow in the Clinton footsteps of thievery and bribery via “foundations”.

      • Deplorable B Woodman

I hope he gets used to the remainder of his life being disappointed as his influence wanes. He’ll up up being a community organizer, right back where he started. Except that the playing field has changed. No more ACORN. No more Ayers and Dorn.

  • Spin Drift

The Betty White attributal quote “Why do people say “grow some balls”? Balls are weak and sensitive! If you really wanna get tough, grow a vagina! Those things take a pounding!”

Supposedly this isn’t from her but she hasn’t denied it. Pretty good advice from a nonagenarian.

    Spin

    • JTC

Nonagenarian and a half! Love that old girl.

  • A long setup, but the punchline made me chuckle.

  • Doggo

Unintended consequences of naming it “VAG” in the first place. Double Entendre. Love it.

  • JTC

    “…intended consequences…”

    FIFY. 😉

  • JCTPatriot

Hardest I’ve laughed out loud at Day By Day in quite a while. I feel like a 12-year-old for laughing so hard, but dang it, that’s my kind of funny!

    Thanks, Chris.

  • Old Codger

OT but I had to share this. Was reading the Daily Mail piece about the “Chairman’s Global Dinner” (some sort of big todo in Mordor on the Potomac Tuesday evening) when I came across the pic linked below. The people in the pic are, left to right, NY Jets owner Woody Johnson, Judith Nathan (wife of Rudy Giuliani), and Rudy Giuliani. Check out Johnson’s sight line.

    • Old Codger

Pretty bold that Johnson fellow. Copping a DB with the lady’s hubby right there. Reckon that’s what Rudy is laughing about?
