Speaking of thugs, was just in Germany for a low level trade conference. We were in the Central part of what was East Germany. Just below the surface of some very pleasant people was the collective breath release of Trumps win. When you are the welcoming mat for the Fulda gap Super Powers rattling swords will make you very very nervous.
The Trump win and Putin’s congratulatory rhetoric has lowered fears. Now when asked about refugees it is only polite smiles but one can see the disenfranchised youth who are having their future displaced by invaders from the south east steeling up. The local invaders travel in groups of two or three sneering at everyone, very few invader women are out and about. There’s a war a brewing and it is going to come from the indigenous people protecting themselves. The government doesn’t represent their interests anymore (sound familiar).

I don’t think the Germans will stand still any longer especially if France pulls it head out and starts to deal with the problem.

On another note, anyone have any thoughts on the big announcement today from the Trump folks about not pursuing further investigation of the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation? I personally think it’s a big mistake. In fact, I’d call it YUGE.
We either have rule of law or we don’t, and any pretense that we do is already hanging by a thread. If Trump fails to follow through on at least allowing a full investigation to bring the truth and facts of their crimes to light, he’s effectively acknowledging and acquiescing to a double-standard of law – one for the privileged elites and another for us serfs. He can pardon Hillary later if he doesn’t want her to suffer more, but the truth needs to come out.

While eon’s historical anthology of human avarice is interesting and instructive, it ends with a simple list of learned/created behaviors that are the effects and in no way the cause, of contemporary thuggery in America…in fact the immediate cause is listed there too, but not in the list; so-called progressivism (leftism) which whether darkly intentional or cluelessly accidental is directly responsible for all five of the characteristics on his list, and embody them themselves; lazy, self-entitled, irresponsible, masochistic racists/elitists…those lovely attributes are not limited to the thugs themselves. He does seem to acknowledge the difference in his piece downthread from last night, but even the elitist enablers are not at the root of this evil.
Contemporary effects do go much deeper and wider than that, but as to the “Roots” cause of much of it as it applies to the last 20 or so years, more later, gotta go pretend to work for a bit.

People have gotten a crash course in real racism this year, between rapefugees in Europe and the likes of BLM and CAIR here. Third, coffee is just fine with me – Folger’s will do (tried Maxwell House – didn’t like the first drop OR the last). I want it strong, sweet and blond. Brunett and sassy is OK for women (been married to a sassy brunette for nigh onto 45 years) but I prefer my coffee blond and sweet.

For pure enjoyment: 100% Kona, medium roast, sweeten to taste. Somewhat expensive, but totally worth it.
Having spent too much time in Israel and etc. I now prefer the various Real Arab and some Turkish coffees. Strong, Black and Much better than Staryuks.
Some friends I have meals with,Arab, cringe when I don’t add cane sugar like they do. Heh!
I was raised west of I-35 and was at first rather irritated that I had to order my iced tea unsweetened when I moved East, especially when the waitresses kept delivering it with these little paper bags of powder.
The Obammy would have to be ordered with a lot of sugar, since he’s so bitter.

On another note, anyone have any thoughts on the big announcement today from the Trump folks about not pursuing further investigation of the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation? I personally think it’s a big mistake. In fact, I’d call it YUGE.
We either have rule of law or we don’t, and any pretense that we do is already hanging by a thread. If Trump fails to follow through on at least allowing a full investigation to bring the truth and facts of their crimes to light, he’s effectively acknowledging and acquiescing to a double-standard of law – one for the privileged elites and another for us serfs. He can pardon Hillary later if he doesn’t want her to suffer more, but the truth needs to come out.
