I would like to do more, but just too old and tired. Served two tours in Nam and in Iraq for a time. If younger, I’d rather go out as a Matamoros, Tizona, in hand, rather than surrender.

I did two in the Nam also, starting in ’64. The only advice you’ll ever get worth a damn is learn to run real fast, learn to fight real good or learn to die.

If you think there are other choices, you have a serious case terminal stupidity.

Coming from Skye, it reflect her sense of entitlement. “Her people” got hurt and killed. Suddenly the cultural relativism and Colonialism screeds are gone and it’s “are you going to fix it?”

Zed’s reply is practically scriptable in advance.

“Hey, socialists invited muslims into France. Socialists exiled them to ghettos where there was little opportunity. Socialists encouraged radical islam’s blood-thirst. And suddenly you want *us* to fix it to save socialists from the consequences of their own misguided actions?”

I have great sympathy for the 15 journalists that were killed and if that’s what it takes to wake the Left to the danger, their deaths will at least have some kind of positive meaning.

I’m sorry more people had to be killed. I’d have thought 9/11 would have made the stakes perfectly clear.

Not to mention that the Skye-style ProgLibTard wants to castigate, castrate, and disarm all western white hetero Christian males, in the name of peace and social justice.
But when their ass is on the line, suddenly it’s “Save Us (Me)”.

But as Kipling’s “Tommy” says at the end,
“An’ Tommy ain’t a bloomin’ fool — you bet that Tommy sees!”

    • January 13, 2015 at 8:26 am

Except for the parts about [s]ocialists exiled them to ghettos and you want *us* to fix it to save socialists.

Socialists didn’t exile them to anywhere; they refused to assimilate and held themselves, by conscious design, apart.

Also, we do need to fix it, and fast–not for the socialists’ sake, but for our own. It’s going to be a very dangerous two years, and then it may well be a bloody struggle. But if we don’t get started on them, they’ll get started on us.

In discussing the situation in France, a friend recently reminded me of a quote from an essay written by George Orwell, to wit:

A humanitarian is always a hypocrite, and Kipling’s understanding of this is perhaps the central secret of his power to create telling phrases. It would be difficult to hit off the one-eyed pacifism of the English in fewer words than in the phrase, ‘making mock of uniforms that guard you while you sleep’.

Over the years, the comments of both Kipling and Orwell have been misquoted into an almost unrecognizable yet familiar quote…

We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.

My friend had little time or patience for the “selfie-warriors” who post pictures of themselves with their “Je suis Charlie” nonsense and he suggested the future will involve more hard times for us rough men…

Oh yeah, gee, capitalist democracy is the worst… Except for everything else.

The problem is that the socialibprogressive (whatever you label yourselves) lives with magical thinking, which apparently causes them to deceive themselves, and lie ALL the time to deceive others.

Once this flaw is recognized, they are very easy to understand. Just recognize the lie, which is everything. i.e. Cyber security, economy better by every measure, race relations better than ever, etc… ( I guess it depends on what the meaning of “better” is.)

      • January 13, 2015 at 11:41 am

        Magical thinking, no!

Psychopaths act differently from you, but it is not magical. Psychopaths have no conscience, and can lie convincingly by fabricating a false personality with which they hope to fool everyone for their on advantage. Dr. Hervey Cleckley called this false personality a “mask.”

Ted Bundy’s mask was false bandages and false arm and leg casts with which he gained the sympathy of young ladies whom he then murdered. Marxists’ masks are a false and hopeless Marxist ideology with which they have used to fool much of the world’s population. That is why Marxism ultimately fails, but Marxist failure entails massive social and economic costs. Ditto militant Islamists’ failures.

In other words, chickensh*t to speak to the truth like the Muzzies?

The answer to Skye is, of course, to parrot Her Shrillness: “What difference does it make?” The mush-minded leftists of Europe allowed these proto-humanoid to contaminate their societies, sometimes for cheap labor, more often for politically-correct idiocy. What did these credulous fools expect when they brought such two-legged pit vipers and rabid dogs into their societies? No modern civilization can hope to survive if they accommodate this primitive cult of crazed pederasts.

When the Romans had absorbed so many immigrants that they were no longer the self-confident people they had been, no longer the conquerors, not even defenders, they hired Germanic troops (tribes!) to be their armed forces. And the Germans overran the failing Empire.

She is real enough in that Chris perfectly portrays her as someone most of us know in real life.

The level of vitriol or worship is directly related to how many, and how close the character is to the person.

I’ve spent 22 years in the Military, some full time, some Reserves. Having seen war in a number of different locations I can say it is not Hollywood.
In the end we will have to kill them and their will to make war. Yes kill.

The Muslims that won were not the “tolerant” types you believe and did not have a superior civilization. That one was overrun by Huhammad. Mecca was a city before Muhammad that was tolerant, until he overran them and create the Jihad that exclaimed “convert or die”.

You have a potentially-fatal ignorance of Islam in history: the Crusades were in response to 250 years of Muslim imperialism, violence and cruelty. Christianity dominated the Middle East prior to the predations of Islam. Islamic religious conversions were imposed by the sword. By the 8th century AD, North African Moorish Muslims invaded what would be Spain, crossed the Pyrenees, and were stopped by Charles Martel (Charlemagne’s Grandfather) at the Battle of Tours in 732 AD. They were thrown back into what would become Spain where they remained until 1490 when they were expelled by Queen Isabella. If it weren’t for the Franks, the Muslim horde would have swept across & likely conquered the whole of Europe. Then there’s the matter of the Ottoman Turks attempting to invade Eastern Europe in the 15th-17th centuries. The Ottoman Empire was hardly peaceful or tolerant. The Ottoman Empire’s predations into Eastern Europe lead to the destruction of Constantinople (now Istanbul) in 1453, the end of the Ottoman Empire’s westward imperial expansion via Suleiman I’s failed Siege of Vienna, Austria in 1529 and culminated in the Battle of Vienna in 1683.

Islam means “to submit”, i.e., submit to the will of Allah and his self-appointed imams, caliphs and emirs. “Peace” is only achieved via the erasure of infidel religions and their adherents forcefully converted to Islam. Islam has always been a warrior religion prone to predation on a multiple-century cyclic basis. The west is in the midst on one of these violent cycles.

Additionally, western societies are failing to apply distributed “culpability” to all Muslims, i.e., the 10% that are truly scary, the 60% (i.e., sheeple) that are too terrified to nullify the 10%, and the remaining 30% who are somewhat sympathetic to the “cause” of the crazy 10%. It will take the collective will of the 90% of “good” Muslims to nullify the 10% & I see no overt manifestations of said will. Where are all the “good” Muslim protesters protesting the predations of radical Islam en masse? Apparently the same post-modern semantics that allows hyphenated-Americans and other practitioners of “group-identity politics” to assign “group guilt” to mainstream American (i.e., “White Guilt”) doesn’t apply with respect to any “group” culpability to the 90% of all Muslims who continue to fail at “cleaning out their own house.”

Nothing left to add, but if you think that Muslims were better, read this:
