    Chris,
BTW, I just donated another $100 into the dinner pot.

And after this fund drive closes, I’ll be donating $50/month to build up for next year’s drive. I’ll never make to Don Portago level, but I can make it to Anatoly (love that crazy Rooskie!!).

Enjoy. . . oh, and try not to spend it all in one place (wink!)

Pithy comment by someone at yesterday’s ‘toon:

“That tarmac grandchildren chat between Slick and Lowretta was about Comey’s”

Literal or figurative, that’s the FIBer’s policy payoff, and all it cost him for deductible was his soul.

But that’s not the end of it; Billary too has to pay a ransom, but for what and to whom?

    • July 7, 2016 at 7:00 am

I don’t think Slick will be paying ransom, and I don’t think the conversation needed to be about anything but grandkids and golf.

        Like we useta say:

        There It Is.

That raw, naked, absolutely transparent demonstration of TOTAL power by the CCF was unmistakable even to the most obtuse:

One, Two, Three Outright Illegal Acts: The PRESIDENT is visited. The AG is visited (privately), the FBI is visited.

Crooked as the 16th century Vatican.

      • July 7, 2016 at 9:57 am

Bill G, yes that is what is meant by “figurative”.

And the ransom from Billary comes later, when it’s time to pay for the power they so crave. But as I said, what will be the ransom, and to who/what will it be paid? Like the zero, the Clintons are but soulless placeholders and tools. The godhead is something/someone else, and they will be wanting their ransom. Guess who will ultimately pay it?

Sundance over at theconservativetreehouse has suggested that the Orlando nightclub shooting is what did Comey in. The FBI was alerted to the guy by several sheriff’s departments and even his own mosque, but did nothing. That failure should have landed on Comey, but the Clintons shielded him from it by directing the media to ignore that angle, so he now “owes” them.

We all knew the fix was in. That has now been confirmed. It is more important than ever to get out all the votes we can in the election. If necessary, do what I am going to do: hold your nose and vote for Trump. This country cannot afford to allow Shillary! in the White House. The future of the country and the constitutional form of government is at stake.

    • July 7, 2016 at 10:05 am

As to nose-holding, this was my comment elsewhere on a post about hollowwood scum matt damon’s statement (in Australia!) calling for need for Australia-style gun confiscation here:

      “No one except Matt Damon.”

If only. I’d like to see him take my granddaughter’s Chipmunk. And even without it I’m confident her 12-year old self could beat his and his nanny’s ass.

Hillzabeast OTOH is seeking the power of law, the courts, and gov agents to take your guns (with guns of course).

Knowing that, and that it’s a two-issue race for potus, will you vote for the unproven candidate who has blustered and promised from the beginning against the rampant onslaught of immigrants who would kills us and/or replace us, and also has the endorsement of the most powerful vote getter/vote killer organization on the planet whose only raison d’etere is promoting and protecting gun rights and the POLITICS of them? Or will you help elect, directly or indirectly through withholding your support of its opposition, the PROVEN force of evil who has promised that the opposite will be her primary POLITICAL platform goals, and that the Australia model is her guide?

If you want to one day have the opportunity to elect your true libertarian to the big chair and return true freedom from gov to the Republic, the Republic has to survive in the interim to get there. Withhold or waste your vote some other time when it will make a point. Right now all it will do is put Hillary there. This is war; it’s down and dirty and we might have to hold our nose sometimes. But at least we’ll have a nose to hold.

I don’t think it matters in the slightest who any of us votes for. Recall, if you will, the ’12 election where some voting precincts had more ballots cast than there were registered voters. (and where, purely coincidentally, Dems won overwhelmingly – shock, shock). Recall also that there were some precincts where multiple candidates got 100% of votes cast (also, oddly enough, Dems). I consider those to be trial runs or proof-of-concept experiments. They worked splendidly so you can expect to see more – MUCH MORE – of such come November. Expect sweeping Dem victories everywhere the Dems control the election process. Remember Stalin’s sage words, “The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who COUNT (emphasis mine OC) the votes decide everything.

Ah, Railroad Canyon Campsite here I come. 7,100 feet above sea level and not another soul for miles. I’ll let you tell me how much your vote was worth after the election, JTC. Me? I consider this coming election a situation calling for “serenity.

      • July 7, 2016 at 3:25 pm

I’ve always thought the prayer has its order exactly backwards.

Wisdom first to know what can and should be changed, then strength to try to get it done, and finally serenity in the knowledge that you did your best for yourself, your heirs, and your Republic.

But if you are serene in your acceptance of the fate the beast has in store for us without employing wisdom and strength, I can tell you right now what your non-vote is worth.

Someone else said to man the polls. That’s pretty good wisdom, and something I’ve never done. Maybe I will find the strength to do it this year. Then maybe, God willing, serenity will come.

Crazy prosecutor or not, where can anyone find an impartial jury?
Yes, it should be done. It won’t be. If it were, it would last too long in the details before the trial started and the entire time the LSM would be calling it a conspiracy of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy and getting sympathy votes for it from useful idiots that might stay home otherwise.

BTW, some commentators are saying this was Comey’s assault on an impregnable position and that he gave Cankles a Pyrrhic victory, what with his laying out all of the facts that he said he was not recommending prosecution for.
If the Clinton Foundation Investigation ends up with another long list of crimes that she won’t be prosecuted for it will give Trump enormous material to hammer her with.

Pamela you have just said what I have been thinking.

I just finished reading that new book written by the fellow that was in the uniformed division of the secret service during the Clinton era. Some of the pundits claim that he was never near the president. I was expecting a gossip like book but by the end I was believing him. I don’t think he is telling the entire truth but I do think the major part of the story is true.

If what that man says is true, he along with many others, who Hillary considers enemies will have to leave this country to avoid being jailed IF she is elected. Her supporters are already bragging that when she wins she’ll silence Trump.

I’ve heard folks say that we are becoming a Banana Republic. Myself I say we already are thanks to the Left and the elites of both parties.

Spin, I actually DID that in ’12. Problem is San Antonio is heavily Hispanic (>65%) and under the state election laws (originally written when the Dems dominated Texas politics) give control of the election process to the winner in the last election – Dems, natch. Pretty much all the Republican poll watchers were for all intents and purposes squeezed out and not allowed to do our jobs. We reported it to the Party who filed complaints with the county elections commissioner (a Dem) who did nothing. When the party escalated the complaint and took it to the District Attorney (would you believe a DEMOCRAT?) he did nothing. (Huge surprise there!) This is not to say that every poling place in Texas or even Bexar County was run crooked. But a bunch were. A BIG bunch were!

For the record, here is Stalin’s (a communist/socialist/leftist/progressive) actual quote:
“It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.”

I am convinced that we are well into that phenomenon with the willing assent of the GOP heirarchy.

    Any real lawyers out there?

I agree the FBI is chickenshit, but the actual legal power to issue an indictment lies with the prosecuting attorney. Is it legally possible that some random US attorney, somewhere, could file charges? Or something like that?

I also wonder if there aren’t grounds for a civil suit on some or other basis. I dunno. I’m not a lawyer. But there are clever ones out there.

Until and unless she’s pardoned by Obama, she can be tried by a Trump administration. And it would have to be an impressively wide pardon to get all of her potential charges between Benghazi, email-gate, and the Clinton Foundation.

So bizzare that the Rule of Law died on the day after our 240th Independence Day.
After reading the above-mentioned article by the Z-Man, about the failure of the Ruling Class to police their own, and the complete failure of the organs we’ve counted on to keep the game somewhat honest — SCOTUS, FBI, Congress, even the military in some instances — it is now down to one of two options for the purpose pic that cares.
It’s either accept the death of the Republic as it was, and go the armed revolution route.
Or, somebody with a bankroll takes a few chapters out of “Unintended Consequences” and police the “Cloud People” for us, since they have become incapable of doing it themselves. Any speculation, folks?

Boss Tweed and the Tammany Hall would surely be in awe of the Clintons. At least Tweed and the boys had the newspapers looking over their shoulders and shining a light on their activities. The Dems have the media as willing partners. The left effectively controls the message via the lapdog press. But note: I am not saying that the left actively CONTROLS the media. It doesn’t need to. The Lamestream Media are so indoctrinated in and such fervent believers in the left’s cause they willingly twist the news to fit what the progressives need it to be. I believe is is less collusion than merely birds of a feather flocking (fucking we the people?) together.
