    Good catch, Sam.

I’ve had a glass of wine and the “This Big” sounds really good right about now.

    Sam is one lucky woman.

Loving this story arc. Can’t wait to see the racks and big meat.

    Gonna be a great week.

What an amazing woman! What an impactful life… one person CAN make a difference! I’d say “rest in peace,” but she would never be happy resting; I know the Lord has her busy making heaven an even better place… LOL!

That’s the same thing a sociology prof I had in school over forty years ago said…”All women are sitting on a gold mine if they actually knew it.”

Ya know? I never understood why women would just give away something that guys would fight to get. I have asked young women (more than a few through the years) if they find the styles many young males affect (especially sagging) to be attractive. The answer has invariably been “no!”. When I ask young males what they think of the results of my “poll”, they respond with a “doesn’t bother me any” sort of answer. That is incomprehensible to me. Women have the place that males spend 9 months busting their hump to get out of and (at least in my time) their adult lives busting their hump to get visiting privileges to. It’s a seller’s market! And yet so many gals just give it away. What’s THAT about?

Why don’t women make good carpenters?

    • September 6, 2016 at 10:39 am

Women do make good carpenters. We know when a piece of wood is straight, true and will bear weight without breaking.

As well as to properly polish and stain that wood.

        Yes, I went there…

Likewise, cmblake6! I’d find an excuse to go to Texas from the upper Midwest — the trick would be finding an excuse to go by myself — I’m not sure the Mrs. would appreciate the “scenery” at the DDQ. 😉

I hope they live closer to Alpine than Big Bend (29 40 North, 104 6 West). That’s a long drive for anyone stepping out for BBQ, even if Sam is serving. I’m willing to drive from Dallas to Llano for Laird’s BBQ, but that’s only once a year or so.

  • September 6, 2016 at 10:47 am

FINALLY opening night at the DDQ but my Honorary Invitation seems to have been lost in the mail…:(

Or maybe it’s that the management knows that I’ll be escorting Ms. Pamatar and they are concerned that another awesome Red with similar tastes and attributes could result in a little too much vino-lubricated eyeballing -I said EYEballing- of the Z-man. 😉

Myself, I’ll behave because I am still pretty skeered of the little 5-foot-nothing blonde Georgia girl that has kept me mannerly and satisfied for lo these many years…since 1970 Prom when I danced with another girl (former girlfriend) and learned my lesson well. :[

I learned a long time ago to never poach another woman’s man no matter how bad he needed poaching. You can look, but don’t touch.
Also learned you should never date cousins.

      • September 6, 2016 at 2:34 pm

Oh I’m sure, and I did say eyeballing. But there’s lookin’ and there’s LOOKIN’.

And of course in vino veritas…and sometimes in vino audacia 😉

      • September 6, 2016 at 2:36 pm

And just what do you have against my Southern porch-sittin’ gun-totin’ cousin-humpin’ flyover brethren?

      • September 6, 2016 at 4:34 pm
        Pamela

They weren’t my cousins. They were cousins with different last names. That was an interesting time.

Always looked. Sometimes with great curiosity and scrutiny.

      • September 6, 2016 at 8:56 pm

Ohhh…THEY were cousins; yeah I can see that might be problematic. I thought you were denigrating “my people”. 🙂

Looking is good as long as one avoids too much libation lubrication.

Sorry to divert from the DDQ festivities but this is just too good to ignore:

“His is going to be easily the most valuable presidential memoir ever.”

Probably due to all the significant achievements of his tenure. And there’s mo’ (heh ain’t I a wit…I said wit not twit):

“has the opportunity to sell the most valuable first lady memoir in history.”

That is no doubt because MOO is the most America loving flotus evah!

Or maybe they will be tell-alls and exposes…now that would be good and I might even pick one up myself and contribute to the cause.

The cause being to further fleece and steal all that they haven’t already (is anybody watching the WH silver?), and the book deals are just the beginning.

Hopefully you guys do get that the opposition from the neocon / Trotskyite National Review and Weekly Standard to the Alt-Right is really over foreign policy. There is a confluence of interests there at the top (rhetoric for the unwashed masses aside) – special interests that make tremendous amounts of money off of the interventionist foreign policy, and the philosophical goal of spreading democracy, which inevitably decays into socialism (from a practical standpoint communism is the immediate imposition of socialism by force, democracy is the gradual imposition of socialism via the ballot box, republicanism is an attempt to restrain a nation with some democratic ideals from sliding towards socialism but QED it doesn’t work). I personally see the Alt-Right as incredibly problematic as well, embracing the same anti-individualist race/class-based “reasoning” that is a sort of a funhouse mirror reflection of old-school Marxism.

There is money to be made crushing people all over the world then having your corporations paid tax dollars to do it and to repair it and rebuild itt.
It is a money making method for the ones in power. US hegemony over the world must be maintained by the neo-cons so that money can be diverted as stated. Ne-cons and crony socialists live in the same house and sleep in the same bed. Bush/Clinton/Obama, all with the same end agenda.
The great Game is the same game, just updated.
Then it gets back to those who believe that they own the planet and that they will do with it as they wish. they say that we are not in their club.
      Then there is nationalism.
      Then there is tribalism.

I, personally, and a nationalist. My nation is the USA.
I am a member of a tribe. My tribe is Magyar.
I believe that people have rights. Those rights cannot be rightly or justly taken by other men. The Bill of Rights is a listing of right given by God that people cannot take away from other people. There are rules that must be followed, though many don’t. Those that do not follow certain rules forfeit certain rights.

Right now the nation and world can be taken by globalism. The fight today is not with bullets. There is a ballot and exit polls and courts ahead of us.
best pick up the next weapon in front of us and cast our ballot. Help create admissible evidence in exit polls to confront hacked voting machines with no paper trail is the next weapon to pick up.

Or we submit to our demanded slavery. I will not submit.
