It’s WAY past time for an Article V Convention of the States to propose amendments.

2. Election reform – U.S. Citizen identification
The current direct election of Senators isn’t working, because their loyalty is to (parts of) their parties, and they fail to represent the interests of their States.
The previous system, by which State Legislatures, with or without that States’ Governor, appointed Senators without any direct input from the people of that State.
The Senate was supposed to be slower to react to popular pressure, but they still found many ways to be corrupt and monetize their offices.
Perhaps State appointed plus term limits could be a limiting solution, but from looking at Thunes’ inaction, I don’t have much hope now.

As a few others warned down thread, HELL NO to a con-con unless you want to hand the weapons of our complete demise to those who would grab them and use them immediately and fatally. All of your points are valid but they will have to be resolved independently in the real world, not through invading and doing irreparable harm to the one document that has survived all of the attempts -so far- to destroy it and us.
I would not limit #3 to just hard labor and death.

The penalties should include all damages incurred by their votes X3 just like in a civil suit, extracted from those who benefited from their looting, if necessary.

At the same time, draft all ‘anchor babies’ 18 or over and station them places those enlisting voluntarily don’t want to go…or build some artificial islands off the coast of somewhere remote like the chinese are doing and use them to man that…you’ll just have to carefully explain to the dems that they can’t tip over.
Where find ourselves now, may be passed the point of legislative salvation.

Some good words, but with a few exceptions every one was a self-serving edict of their time…Lincoln? OMG, the first RINO and first Traitor to our national adherence to freedom and self-determination, so coldly claiming protection of an endangered and mistreated species as his motivation (as admitted plainly in his letters to supporters of his evil agenda) and to deflect from the truth of his greed for power and control and money…always follow the money. Kennedy? a coward, a liar, and a traitor to the first fighters of communism…had he lived a few more years, the extent of his ineptitude and malleability in the hands of his enablers would have come to light. Hero? Far from it. Several others in those irrelevant to now quotes but those two are the most egregious.
