Seriously, what are We, the People, supposed to do to put justice to these multitude of miscreants? When the governmental justice is so broken that even Stevie Wonder can see it, is it time for The Citizens to take vigilante action?
Tar and feathers used to be quite an effective deterrent.
    Ditto for the stocks.
And the repeat offenders against social order eventually reached the point where they would get themselves “hung by the neck until dead, dead, dead”.
Is it now time to form “Citizens’ Committees” and kidnap the worst perpetrators to be able to administrator justice?

[W]hat are We, the People, supposed to do to put justice to these multitude of miscreants?

Sadly, {sigh} short of “taking the law into our own hands”, and instituting a reign of vigilante ,i>justice, there is nothing we CAN do. Only an idiot would expect the nomenklatura to police itself. Face it,friends and neighbors, the system is well and truly FUBAR and We, the People are unquestionably screwed, blued and tattooed. It was inevitable. It is merely entropy in action. You understand entropy, don’t you? In plain language, entropy is the process whereby, ultimately, everything – AND I DO MEAN EVERYTHING – turns to shit. From the prospective of entropy, allwe are is just so much walking worm shit.

I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

Used to be, polls were a tool to gauge/measure public opinion. These days they’re pretty much dedicated to shaping it. I’ve been on the receiving end of numerous phone based polls. All were unambiguously structured towards returning a predefined result. One controls the results of a poll by 1) carefully crafting the questions asked and 2) crafting/limiting the responses. Then, if all else fails, you simply cook the books to reflect the desired result. Ever noticed how no one outside the poling organization ever gets to examine either the questions/possible responses or raw data?

Oh, and you’re entirely welcome to call me a cynic. I consider cynicism to be survival-positive in today’s world.

A ray of hope, or reality, breaking through the spin world of fake news.

      https://conservativebrief.com/election-reversal-announcement-trump-loves-it-25681/

… The polls have never been friendly to President Donald Trump, but we all remember how he won big in 2016 over Hillary Clinton.

However, one of the only polls to accurately predict Trump could win in 2016 is showing the president will defeat Biden in November.

According to a Rasmussen Reports survey released Wednesday, Trump has taken his first national lead against Biden.

The president leads nationally with 47 percent to Biden’s 46 percent.

“While statistically insignificant, it’s the first time Trump has been ahead,” the pollster said.

Four percent of those polled described themselves as undecided, and 3 percent of respondents said they preferred another candidate. …

you’ve just acknowledged that the … elites are above the laws that we peasants have to obey

Since when – in all of human history – has it been otherwise? So far as I can see, the biggest difference between our time and afore times is that today the elites no longer bother to pay lip service to the mythical “rule of law”.

I was once advised (by a lawyer, mind you) that it is impossible to derive a rigorous definition of the word “justice” (hence lawyers are specialists in the law and NOT justice). Since it is virtually impossible to hit a target that is not clearly defined (and if you DID hit it how could you be sure you had done so?) pursuing justice is a “fool’s errand”! The best one can hope for in any issue before the law is an outcome favorable to them.

Consider the following facts as regards the criminal justice system:
When tried, the defendant is accused by the government.
To be tried the defendant enters a building owned by the government.
The defendant is prosecuted by a lawyer paid by the government.
The case is heard before another lawyer paid by the government.
Over to one side sits an armed law enforcement officer paid by the government.
And, finally, the defendant is represented by a lawyer who, while ostensibly working for the defendant, never the less is licensed by the government.
What part of that sounds even remotely like a recipe for “justice”??? It comes to me that all criminal defendants should be required to enter the courthouse through a door over which is inscribed

Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.

      • September 17, 2020 at 6:11 pm
        NotYetInACamp

I forget the numbers, but, I beard it said that of all federal defendants that don’t take a negotiated plea and choose trial, 98% lose.
Great odds of justice there, eh? But we don’t know the facts of that obvious mismatch between the sides.
Ye forgot to say that the government pays all of the cost of the prosecutor to prosecute. And often seizes the assets of the defendant so that he cannot hire his own choice of lawyer. There even are situations where funds allowable by court supervised inquiry and attempted to be seized from the privately hired defense attorney, and even further, that defense attorney is brought up on charges for receiving his fee from what the prosecutor later claimed were tainted funds subject to forfeiture.
        Jolly good time there, compatriots.
And the Federal Public Defender appointed in cases where one is called for due to indigence, possibly because the defendants funds were seized and declared forfeit, those Public Defenders are paid for by the government.
        Bullying.
        Acting with Impunity.

And do we ever get Equity either?

It’s a fine kettle of fish.

And that is how we have such injustice as the choice of a great and honorable man, General Flynn, to choose a plea rather than to totally bankrupt his family and see his wife and children also prosecuted.

One either addresses cancer by excising it or the metastasis spreads and grows the rot. I am pretty sure we have already seen multiple metz. In the cancer world, once there is metz, you will die from cancer. The question is only how long it will take and that is a function of how aggressive your strain is. Looking behind the news, this is multiple strains and many of them are very aggressive.

If there is going to be slaps on the wrist, the slapping needs to be done with a cutlass. Cleaving right through the joint. It likely still won’t be enough…but.

Gee, and here I was, hoping that those destructive fools finding their way to dusty death might realize that destruction is not constructive.

They seem to be so eager to follow a path to destruction: arson, and they do it by destroying millions of acres of forest? Yes, they really love Mother Earth, don’t they? I am thousands of miles away from that horror and yet, I get the scent of wood smoke every morning at dawn and every evening at sunset and few things make me angrier than people who set fire to woodlands. They aren’t just burning trees. They are killing off wildlife… and they don’t care.

    They will pay for it.

The 2016 vote likely got into those judges. If they are Federal Judges, they have all since then been appointed by our President.
The 9th Federal District Appellate Court now has a majority of Constitution following appellate judges serving there. That is a result of voting for Donald Trump to be President in 2016.
