    Zed, ever the consummate diplomat.

Easy for him, as he has any number of big sticks.

One could almost feel sorry for the Mayor, having to work with Karen and Triggly Puff.

Inquiring minds want to know if Sam had to pull the trigger to the second detent?

Would love to read Tucker’s Police Report on this one.

I’ll bet the police report was nice, polite and very short.

Missionary syndrome. They feel they must spread the good word of their “gospel” to the heathens.

It’s almost but not quite as fulfilling as killing said heathens, in their egotistical psyches.

Plus, they can never be truly happy until everyone, everywhere, has to live under their boot.

Anyone who dares to not be Exactly Like Them must be punished- for existing.

The similarity to the fouling of many cities outside of California after the deterioration by Progressives os so much across California is Legion. The Western section of the states of Washington and Oregon come quickly to mind. The further destruction in parts of New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Colorado are easily seen. The drifting into many other states has occurred because of the fouling in California, but that is added to by fleeing rats from the Northeast, Illinois and New Orleans. The leakage from DC into Virginia and Maryland has been sad.
This is a horrible development that has been intended to fundamentally change (destroy) America.
This is part of that war we are in, even if people do not know that they are being warred against.
Defeat the enemy. Apply the law.

I realize the use of Karen is now a popular catch phrase but those two were not Karens. A Karen is too self absorbed in their own little world to worry about what goes around them. They are the toxic lawsuits waiting to happen. It’s a scam. Call the manager for preferential treatment and you get the discounts. I told the story of one Karen who bullied a hot dog stand cook into selling a 89 cent hotdog into a deluxe with the trimmings. A better term is a Mrs. Grundy because somewhere someone is having fun and they don’t like it.

Shooter, you’re fighting a rising tide. The current internet meme definition of a Karen is a Wuhan Virus Snitch. i.e. the person who runs to the cops get the rules enforced against close personal contact, or against barber shops that stay open, or churches that hold services, or people who don’t wear masks, or anything else that intolerable governments are trying to force down our throats. Karens generally believe (or profess to believe) they are helping or saving someone. A herd of Karens is required for a Socialist takeover because even the special police and brownshirts can’t be everywhere.

There is no way Zed could “press charges” against the city in any case. File a lawsuit, perhaps but the city committed no criminal act. The only potentially criminal act was Sam’s firing the Taser into Triggly Puff’s ass. Under chapter 9 of the Texas Penal code Sam’s actions were entirely justified so no criminal charges could be filed against Sam. Even then the local prosecutor’s office could have filed charges but then the prosecution would have had to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Sam’s actions were “b>not justified under Texas law. Any prosecutor with even a smidgen sense would know that there was no way he/she could possibly get a conviction. Good thing, too, since the act of removing the barbed electrodes from the whale’s ass would have produced wounds which could justify a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon – a 2nd degree felony worth 2 – 20 years in the pen and/or up to $10,000 fine. We’re not just a bunch of cowboys here in Texas. If you’re going to assault someone, your actions damned well better be justified. Fortunately there is TPC Chapter 9.Just so you know, there are even sections of Chapter 9 covering the activities of parents and Peace Officers,

Read my discussion above for why Sam wasn’t charged with aggravated assault or even aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. If you assault someone and it produces a wound which takes more than a day or so to heal, that is potentially aggravated assault. If a prosecutor wanted to play it that way, considering that people have died from being shot with a taser, said prosecutor could argue that the taser could be considered a deadly weapon. I do know that even Peace Officers may not lawfully carry a taser without being trained and certified. As I wrote earlier, we’re not cowboys out here in Texas. We’re not quite as “sissified” as some folks on the coasts but we’re not cowboys.

Here in OH, Sam would not have been charged, since OH law states that use of deadly force is justified in defense of self or any other person.

And under the same law, a “less-than-lethal” device such as a Taser or pepper spray retains that legal distinction of non-lethality, even if the target expires as an indirect result of its use.

I.e., hypothetically, Sam had no way of knowing that the large person attempting to seize her children had a pacemaker which was stopped by the Taser pulse. Under OH law, the assailant assumes the risk of adverse consequences of their assault. (Sometimes called the “[s]he should have known better” principle.)

BTW, this is from OH statutes separate from the OH “castle law”. And much older, but still on the books.

However, the whale identified as an official officer which presumably applies to the x thing as well. Which if true and she was acting under color of law then Sam may be charged with interfering with and/or assaulting an officer, that would be true whether in TX, OH, or here in FL if any of them or their towns should hand out such power to such persons.

Not that it would change Sam’s response; that particular pig lays a hand on my child and the result would be electrifying or worse, regardless of any real or imagined power or affiliation.

In that case the ‘official’ has stated responsibility for any and all acts subsequent to that announcement and the, in this case municipal, entity that she claims to derive her authority from becomes responsible for the actions of it’s ‘agent’, hence Zed’s reference to not pressing charges against the town, and by extension, it’s councilor. I’d go a step further and sue anyone who would admit voting for said ‘councilor’ 😉

Would that it were so…but it makesfor a good story 🙂

meanwhile, up here, our ‘prime minister’ who is in a minority government is putting out an ‘order in Council’ which bans 15oo+ ‘assault weapons’, whatever those are, plus allows municipalities to ban handguns or any weapon from their jurisdictions…no need to go to Parliament or even make a case, it overrides our own ‘Constitution’ and ‘Charter of Rights and Freedoms’ and will eventually go to the Supreme Court who were almost all appointed by liebrals and will rubber stamp it, but by then the door-to-door confiscation will be finished so even if it does get overturned, there will be nothing to return anyway.

Not having a somewhat clear constitution does cause problems. No delineation or memorializing in writings of the rights given by God, such as in the US Constitution’s Bill of Rights, does come to create problems in defending such rights that are broadly implied by recognition of God directly in the Canadian Constitution as shown in its beginning:
        ” CONSTITUTION ACT, 1982
        PART I
CANADIAN CHARTER OF RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS
Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law: … ”

God’s law which also made Natural Law includes the right of self defense.
So, with legal recognition still to come, all Canadians have the rights God’s Law gives them. The USA codified those God given right to specifically include the right to bear arms.
By its inclusiveness, the Canadian Charter includes the US recognized rights and more.
Some Canadians need to run with that.
Trudeau’s unilateral declaration are in violation of that part of the Canadian Constitution, and thus, in a standard constitutional analysis, thereby void, a nullity, as if his declarations and orders never existed.
But rights are never protected unless asserted. No one gives you rights. You assert your rights that you have. Canadians recognized those rights in a broad manner. Now Canadians must simply (simply the man says) assert those rights.
        They are yours.
        Use them.Convince others.
        Get them to join you.
Get the local government to join the ideas.
Get the RCMP to understand and agree, At all levels.
Get the Canadian military to agree.
Get the indiginous nations to agree.
Get all the rest of the citizens to agree.
Think of the vast rights recognized when the Supremacy of God is recognized.

        What a country! Canada

A city councilperson is NOT a Peace Officer nor Officer of the Court, and does NOT have authority to arrest in any municipality of the U.S., to my knowledge. They were out of the scope of their authority the second “Karen” identified xirself (xerself? ximself? I’m so confused!) as a council member.

The ‘confiscation’ will be surreptitious and not laid out in the Oder-in-Council.
The last ‘gun control’ Act gave clear and special authority for police to enter your house at any time and without warrant to ‘inspect’ your storage conditions and if they aren’t 100% in line with whatever new regulation they dream up on the spot, your property will be confiscated and charges possibly laid.

There was an incident in High River a few years back where there was a mandatory evacuation due to flooding, people weren’t allowed to take anything with them and in any case they wouldn’t have been able to take their firearms since they didn’t have transport certificates and nobody was issuing them.

rcmp went door-to-door, searching for and confiscating anything they found, going so far as to take entire gunsafes, if they couldn’t open them, on the grounds of ‘unsafe storage’.

It happened once, it’ll happen again.
