According to CDC, in 2014 there were approximately 926,000 abortions performed in the United States, down 12% from 2013. That is, that’s how many were actually reported under the system established by CDC under The One’s orders in 2013. That works out to about 1,950,000 procedures in that 24-month period.

(Incidentally, while CDC still collects the data, they no longer release it to the public, after another order from The One in late 2014.)

Since the Justice Department began collecting statistics on firearms-related deaths from all causes in the u.s. and its possessions in 1968, approximately 1,500,000 people have died from that cause (accident, suicide, homicide, or etc.).

In short, in two years abortionists “terminated” more Americans than firearms have in the last half-century.

Incidentally, from April to July 1994, the Hutu tribe in Rwanda murdered approximately 800,000 Tutsi tribe members, mostly with clubs and knives.

      As for mass murder with firearms, that’s mainly a function of governments. Besides Tienanmen Square in Red China, there was the mass killing of “anti-government dissidents” in Mexico City in 1968;

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tlatelolco_massacre

Please note this occurred 10 days before the opening of the 1968 Summer Olympics held in Mexico City that year.

Between abortion and mass execution, it could be argued that in the last half-century, government in one form or another has been far more dangerous to the average person than civilian-owned firearms have been.

When Tucker Carlson asked him about “irregularities” in the way he spent his Federal funding (mostly on getting re-elected and etc.) and what his constituents thought about that, his response was a smile and the reply, “Does a wolf care what the sheep think?”

IMHO, anybody who thinks like that is no business wearing a badge. period. But it well illustrates the fact that this “shire reeve” alternates between being an arrogant, narcissistic elitist and a babbling idiot.

Here’s the Reason piece I quoted from last week where what this little demigod actually said was, “Lions don’t care about the opinions of sheep”.

Which ironically is a paraphrase from a Game of Thrones crooked politician putting his own interests ahead of the peoples’.

Says some other stuff too, comparing himself to Gandhi, MLK, Lincoln, and Don Shula. Other good stuff there too about his payola, etc. And that reportage is from the Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, one of the most liberal rags in an area lousy with ’em.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/28/politics/justices-rule-police-do-not-have-a-constitutional-duty-to-protect.html
… “Given the fact that the government is not responsible for protecting the general public from common criminals, rapists, mass murderers and terrorists, then why do so many government proposed solutions involve limiting the general public’s access to firearms? It’s a question that is worth considering as we move forward with this discussion.” …
(NYIAC: I know an answer, and I am sure that most of you reading also know one or more.)

If the cops don’t have to and often won’t help or save or protect us, which often happens, then we must use our God given right to defend ourselves especially as memorialized in the Second Amendment of our Constitution.

When asked about limiting speech rights in the same manner as proposed further limitation of 2A rights (training, licencing, insurance, etc.), the responder said, “Words don’t kill.” No they don’t. Usually. However, they certainly can against the unarmed masses. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot killed millions with the order, “Kill them.” I’ll keep my rights, thank you.

“Words don’t kill.” But of course they do.

And not just in the historical frame of reference you mention, but contemporary too…their words may be more veiled but the effect is the same, maybe even as to the Lauderdale massacre and other “mass shootings” the left loves to quote.

I guess they want the credit that is undeniably due them.

Their words may ultimately kill me too. But not until I kill some of them back. They will not take my guns.

I hope that the Big D is trolling the useful idiots and didn’t mean going extra-constitutional as I foresee stuff going sideways if the mass of deplorables think they have been had.

One more thing that popped into my mind. Maybe the Deep State has finally found his Kryptonite? Could they have had a small talk with him saying that if he doesn’t cave on this they will instigate a mass shooting in a school every month for his whole administration? Brings a whole new meaning to “Save the Children” especially if Barron’s school is one targeted for such treatment.

Since Parkland has all the hallmarks of a false flag event (see any conspiracy theorist on you tube to see what those are) I’m sure that they have other cultivated stooges just ready to be nudged over the edge. It would be damage control 24/7 in prime time. Just image a whole army of Tide pod eaters gnashing and wailing on TV. The Hogg kid is the pattern of all future sound bites.

If this happens then the only suspension of Constitutional rights should be in the actions that The Big D takes in having the Army National Guard arrest (4am no knock raids) and ship to Gitmo all the Deep Staters that are on his list. Then we can have all the due process reserved for assholes plotting against the People of the United States. Might take years to clear the docket in Military tribunals.

It’s gonna be ugly but the tree of liberty needs to be watered from time to time.

You know? I’m not all that worried about an attempt to “ban guns”. Several classes of people are already prohibited from owning firearms and look how well THAT is working. When was the last time any fedgov program was so much as 50% effective? Not all states have mandatory registration and even there no one knows how effective such laws truly are.

4 Principles of ANY Human Organization:

    1. All compliance – I say again ALL COMPLIANCE – to anything, be it laws, ordinances, constitutions, military orders or the bylaws of the Tuesday Afternoon Quilting And Literary Society, is voluntary.

    2. All government – I say again ALL GOVERNMENT – derives its power (just or otherwise) from the consent of the governed.

    3. The ratio of governed to governors, of necessity, HAS ALWAYS and WILL ALWAYS favor the governed.

    4. Quantity has a quality all its own. A large enough number of sufficiently motivated unarmed serfs can take down a fully armed and armored knight.
