Yep. Biden’s battery is about broke. Barely enough charge to keep the mechanics moving, but not enough to keep the lights lit.

I don’t think even Elon could charge up the one remaining cell in Biden’s brain pan.

(that would be an awesome Halloween costume: Biden with two X large neck bolts. Slightly green skin tone is optional. The rest is easy street for costuming and acting)

    Well that discussion devolved quickly. Saying anything serious almost seems futile at this point, but I’ll give it a go;

Biden is possibly a perfect politician. With no morals and very little mind of his own, he’ll be easily controlled. With the increasing quality of digital “deep fake” video technology, he could even be, quite literally, programmed to say anything in video form. Live public appearances could be kept to a minimum, and for those he could be pumped with drugs to make him appear sufficiently cogent for twenty minutes at a time. Come to think of it; that describes most of us too, to some extent.

Hmm. So maybe it’s only a matter of degree. It is one thing to look at someone else and think, “There, but for the grace of God, go I” and quite another to remove the beam from you eye and realize, “Oh dear God save us; that’s me too!”

SlowJo is just a more blatant than usual example of today’s leftist politician. With the batteries running down, he’s not putting as polished a front on it as their front-runner normally does. If he’s cheated into office, I have three questions.
    1. How long will they be able to prop him up, before total shutdown?
    2. Whose hands will be on the strings?
    3. When the inevitable happens, will the Blowjo be as biddable as they expect?

If everything Dims accuse PDT of are in fact crimes they have committed, are committing, or are plotting to commit themselves, what does the Whitmer Projection (“right-wing militia” anti-MAGA hit job pre-packaged for worldwide distribution even before it happened) tell us about what they are planning to have done before November 3?

What I’ve learned about politicians both nationally and locally is this.

Republicans are good at saying they’ll do something but never actually doing it. “I’m in favor of term limits. I’m in favor of a balanced budget. I’m in favor of a strong military. I’m in favor of protecting your Second Amendment rights.”

The unspoken subtext is “But I’m not going to do anything about it, because it’s just too hard, and I won’t get invited to All The Right Cocktail Parties”.

Democrats are expert at swearing they’ll never do something and then doing it anyway. “We won’t take your guns.” “We won’t ban coal and oil.” “We won’t ban nuclear power.” “We won’t suck up to Islamists.” “We won’t hand WESPAC to Red China on a silver platter.”

The unspoken subtext there is, “You know we’ll do all of that because our vision of Utopia demands it. And what are you gonna do about it? You won’t break the law to stop us, and nothing less will do it.”

As for “Libertarians”, increasingly they are defined as “whoever came in second in the Democratic primary for whatever office they’re running for”. Ditto Independents, at least around here. They all run on the Pelosi Axiom; “You’ll have to elect me to find out what I’m going to do to you”.

Angelo Codevilla and Joel Kotkin are correct in saying that whatever party they claim to represent, all of the above are from the same social milieu. They went to the same schools, studied under the same professors, have the same beliefs, and think almost exactly alike. They think of themselves as an “enlightened elite'”, destined to rule by virtue of just being better than everyone else.

I might add that even here in rural SE OH, the “ruling class” sees themselves as having more in common with New York than Newark- OH or NJ.

Codevilla calls them “highly credentialed idiots”, and that’s about what they are.

Their hatred of Trump seems to stem mainly from their seeing him as a traitor to their class. Rich, well-connected, and telling them that their Perfect World is (gasp!) non-sustainable.

If he was really the crude “prairie populist” they paint him as, he probably wouldn’t worry them as much as he does.

So true. Ever notice that Bush 41, Clinton 42, Bush 43, and Obama 44 all attended either Harvard or Yale? These two miserable schools seem to put out the vast majority of the elite globalist technocrats who end up manipulating Americans’ lives for their own social utopian vision while also fulfilling their greed for power, money and political legacy.

I’ve thought for sometime now that if two neutron bombs were dropped over Cambridge Massachusetts and New Haven Connecticut that America, and perhaps the world, might be a freer place.

I used to think that New Haven had to be saved due to Winchester. Nowadays I think the best thing that could happen to them would be an enhanced-radiation weapon to clean out the deadwood.

There is no reason for a $1,900 plain-Jane M1894. None at all.

By the same token, Hartford needs to explain the rationale for a $1,600 .357 Python. Not to mention a “Magnum Carry” calling itself a “King Cobra” and costing $1,100.

Mossberg could make the 94, and Taurus could make the other two, and none of them would cost more than $400. Guaranteed.

My two “real” Pythons are the best performers in my firearms portfolio. In the right market, they are $3000 guns. Until something changes, they stay in the vault. I bought a new Python to use as a “beater.” Pricey, but I’ve spent more money on less worthy causes.

Have had opportunities twice to dry fire real Pythons. Didn’t like them. Triggers on both stacked terribly.

So, if given a Python, and probably any other snake gun, it would go on the market immediately.

True that through the 90’s plastic was fantastic and wheel guns were way out of favor. But a Python? A clean 6” model would bring 700-800 even back then. Where’s that pawn shop again? 🙂

        @eon,

Yes but both of those econocopycats have proven time and again for decades the truth and philosophy behind the header at the old dead (pawnbroker) blog…

“Price. Cost. Value. Not the same things.”

Which if one considers said truth and philosophy is not at all to say they are inferior…could there be a better beater for $199 than a PT-111 or a more functional saddle gun than a Mossie 30-30?

But going down the road to “need” and “why” leads to a slippery slope for gunnies, and the best answer is always “Because I can.”

For now. Because whether it’s a multi-k Colt’s or a Ring of Fire sub-c Jennings, the powers that want to at any and all cost run the world and you deny you the one and only means to prevent that denial. I sold a shit ton of both of them over the years and they are -equally- precious to them that may need them.

Allowing a corrupt, demented Spygate co-conspirator to win (= steal) the presidency is not something I can ever conceive of PDT ever doing, ever. Not even ever. It would be like saying nothing he’s accomplished has mattered, none of his kept promises have mattered. Chairman Mao, who had at the time primitive nuclear weapons at best an no delivery system, bragged that China would win any nuclear war by population alone.
It amazes me that people in the West find it unthinkable the Chicoms would deliberately develop a novel virus for the purpose of attacking the the entire world, starting with themselves for “plausible deniability” purposes and the reduction of their own over-aged unproductive population.
It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if in the final analysis it is found that the little monster started as two distinct strains, one intended to do the dirty work and the other far more benign to be spread among the Elite to inoculate the chosen.

        “Artificial sweeteners”

Now (unlike with firearms) it is time for the legitimate question, “Why?”

Why indeed. First job ages 18-25 was at a sugar mill, repairing/rebuilding the massive steam-fired equipment for six months of the year and operating the rail delivery system (largest private railroad in the southeast) and the giant steam turbine driven grinding machines to produce cane sugar.

US Sugar is the largest producer/refiner of pure cane sugar in the US, one of the largest most loyal employers in the state, and a very effective steward of the land and water management (second biggest funder after the government of the Everglades Restoration Project).

But back to the question of why. And forget the BS health claims, as Pamela implies the dangers of the chemically derived imitations are huge and not even fully known so…why?

Next they’ll be marketing an imitation honey and telling us the bees just don’t know what they’re doing anymore in producing the perfect food.

As to that good sweet pure cane sugar? Well it’s been a long time but most of you guys are old and probably consumed some of my personally made near-perfect product, so…

        You’re Welcome!

Artificial Sweeteners are a bugaboo for me. I noticed various health issues in family and friends who switched over to not get fat or because sugar was BAD. I’m of a mind that the Anti YoYos have had their minds altered from bad nutrition and ingesting mind altering junk. It was an answer to the “How did this happen question?”

      • October 9, 2020 at 5:11 pm
        JTC

Yes but the better and more informative answer (and scary if you really want to know), is again…“why?”

What’s making us fat? I suggest Hugh-Fructose Corn Syrup not Cane Sugar. Hardly anything is sweetened with cane sugar any more, it’s all HFCS – read the label!

Here’s those darned corn producers again, poisoning our cars with Ethanol, and us with HFCS… I wish I had that strong a lobby!
