Am I the only DBD reader who checked in looking for an update on Travis, Suzy Q, and the weekend pork pull?

I figured Sam would provide an EPIC blow-by-blow commentary.

“The ‘Stache” knows all and sees all.

And off topic, R. Lee Ermey should have been nominated for and won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as D.I. Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Kubrick’s ‘Full Metal Jacket’!

It’s true he actually ad libbed his role in FMJ, but then again that particular piece of script has been written and re-edited through generations of DIs and Drill Sergeants.
I agree with JD72. The delivery was flawless (albeit well practiced).

Actually, Gunnery Sgt. Ermey’s first film role was as a chopper pilot in “Apocalypse Now.” He went on to play a Marine Corp DI in “The Boys in Company C” the following year. “The Boys in Company C” was a memorable precursor to “Full Metal Jacket” and it’s available on DVD. Check it out!

Totally agree about R. Lee Ermey deserving a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his roll in FMJ. But the Gunny wasn’t really acting in FMJ, that was just him being the real deal. Kubrick, who was notorious for being a control freak, famously recognized Ermey as the force of nature he was and let the Gunny pretty much ad lib most of his lines. No Hollywood screenwriter could write the kind of memorable stuff that Ermey said. RIP Gunny.

…but who owns the “Swiss lab”?

It’s the Russians, y’know. They still can’t get over losing the Cold War.

Has anyone considered that perhaps a rogue intel “group” did conduct the op in an effort to discredit Trump ? With the various agency’s ( and press orgs, editors, reporters ) records of criminality and diminstrated dishonesty, why does anyone believe anything they spout? Just saying . . .

Spiez Lab is Swiss government facility. The lab refused to comment on Lavrov’s statement, except to note the Zurich Zeitung article.

All it really means it that the Soviet Union got a sample of the US stockpile during the Cold War and decided to use a tiny fraction of it to confuse things.
It’s an old time honored piece of duplicity. Saddam Hussein pulled off the same trick by blaming an attack on a market place on a US missile and even had the serial number of the missile.
What actually happened was the Iraqis had recovered the serial number previously from a different attack and fired one of their own 155 rounds into the market.

The article claims that the Swiss lab determined the sample to be the US agent BZ.

BZ is not a nerve agent. It is the closest agent to LSD that the US weaponized in quantity, as an incapacitant.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3-Quinuclidinyl_benzilate

Whatever else is true, no way a good analysis could confuse it with any nerve agent. I’d believe the conspiracy theory that it was a false flag operation with western-produced Novichok before I would believe that one. (See last week’s The Libertarian Enterprise at http://www.ncc-1776.0rg for that article.)

      Further deponent sayeth not.

“And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”

    It’s bizarre.

Then as now the horse is apocryphal…but that blinding light is real.

And as the scales fall and sight/insight is restored to the world as it was to Saul/Paul, the role of Damascus too is repeated…from the birth of the Judeo/Christian world to the possible end of it.

    Acts 9:4 Context

1And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, 2And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. 3And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 6And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. 7And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
