No need for Sam to call Zed. Someday you will realize that on critical topics communication between parents can be instantaneous and worldwide.

Nudie swims for the twins should be verboten as long as they’re living under Zed’s roof and as long as Zed and Sam are paying for the girls’ school tuition, food, room and board, healthcare, etc.

Since Obamacare extended “kids” healthcare coverage on their parents’ plan until age 26 … I think that is a suitable time for the girls to go skinny dipping.

While we’re at it … let’s raise the voting age to match Obamacare. There are way too many dumb twenty-somethings out there ready to cancel my vote.

Let’s change the voting qualifications to close to what they were during the country’s founding:
Need to be a vested property owner; house, business…….
Need to be a taxpayer (if you have accountants who know the laws and can game the system down to $0, you’re still a taxpayer)
If taking the gubberment dole, you temporarily lose your vote. When you come off the dole (welfare), you regain your vote franchise.
      If a renter/student, no vote.
Applies to men, women, and legally married spouses.

Seconded. Especially about the welfare; you may not vote more for yourself whilst existing on the forced charity of those who are working. Wealth redistribution is theft of livelihood.

        How about a little modernization:
You are a PRODUCER, not a TAKER – Taxable income, regardless of actual taxes paid
Military and all honorably discharged – YES
Renter and/or student – no problem, if you are producing something of worth.

How about we take a page out of Heinlein, and you have to EARN the right to vote by a term of public/military service to show you put society ahead of self.

You do realize Heinlein was not proposing that as a good thing, right? Look at how he discusses it, and you’ll see he wasn’t enamored of how that would turn out. (A huge military, and a monstrously large bureaucracy.)

Yes, I have always thought people on welfare have a definite conflict of interest in voting while they are on the dole. I proposed to some friends of mine that the best way to straighten out this country is first, pass a statute that explicitly states what maximum amount of welfare that you may take before you temporarily lose your right to vote. Once you are self sufficient, you may vote again. Second. pass a constitutional amendment that specifically states that the government can never re-distribute any property or wealth for any reason. Private charities are the only method. Our country would boom into amazing prosperity for all and we would have righteous government officials.

      • October 10, 2020 at 10:35 am
        GWB

The sad part is we shouldn’t need that amendment.

“I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.” James Madison

        John D. Egbert

No new law needed; the Framers took care of it in the summer of 1787.

I believe it was Madison who vetoed a bill authorizing “retirement” benefits for widows of Revolutionary War Veterans. His reasoning (paraphrasing): Try as I might and as much as I want to sign this Bill, I cannot lay my figure on that part of the Constitution that permits it. Therefore I must, sadly, decline it.”

      • October 10, 2020 at 10:16 pm
        CuriousB

Then what happened? We have profligate welfare and there is no constitutional mechanism to prevent the government from re-distributing wealth. Plus, all the welfare recipients are free to vote more to their interest. Give me another solution.

I do not concur about owning property – mainly because it excludes a lot of people in the modern age that should not be excluded.

However, I have advocated for 20 years or more now…
        1. You may not vote if you receive any money from the gov’t without a return in value or it being a payout of insurance/pension benefits.
        2. “Return in value” is defined as employment, goods delivered, services delivered. No matter how good those services/goods/employment are, it’s a transaction.
        3. I place insurance in there because normal unemployment is predicated on you having been employed, and businesses pay into the program.
3a. Unemployment insurance should be removed from the gov’t’s purview (though perhaps required by law).
        4. Pensions are included for obvious reasons, and “benefits” because of things like VA.
4a. Pensions and benefits (especially the VA) should be moved as much as possible to private hands. (I missed the TSP by a year or two. Would have been nice.) While the taxpayer should render respect to veterans, shackling those veterans to a system that will always be inherently inefficient at best is not what we want.
        5. Once you stop receiving payouts, you are still ineligible to vote for 1/2 as long as you received benefits. This prevents Democrat administrations from putting everyone off welfare a week before elections, then right back on. I’m willing to limit the “1/2 as long” to 6 1/2 years – so they can’t vote in the next election for any national office at all (no Rep, no President, no Senator) if they’ve been on welfare for 13+ years.
        6. A required civics exam – you have to prove you know the major portions of the Constitution, why it’s “federal”, why there’s separation of powers, etc. You would also have to know your state constitution and such.
        7. And, duh, ID. Maybe purple fingers.

        JTC

Yeah, especially if the commies get in and open the gates to replacement voters and give 16 year olds the vote I’ll settle for state laws to require ID and proof of legitimate citizenship. The other stuff would be nice but national service, property ownership, and/or no welfare ain’t gonna fly and you know it.

This line of thought can take dangerous paths when so many governments seem to be Fabian Socialist.
Bertram Russel said that you should prove your worth to society regularly. Those who don’t should be eliminated.
First ply the people with a guaranteed income working or not. Then the excess may someday be culled, as so many elitists in the world who object to the useless eaters and to the other people who are on the “ELITE’S” land. Culling would be considered, and has been.

When you see how easily they catfished Defense Distributed’s Cody Wilson under Texas law, you realize it is tailor made for deep state abuse. It is their “kick”. Having power with no accountability. the only other system that did that so effectively was feudalism, and that sort of required proving you were part of a certain bloodline.

All socialism requires is that you demonstrate the willingness to murder anyone who disobeys you. And they genuinely enjoy doing that.

Real deal Southern Rock…for me at least, the day the music died wasn’t in 1959, it was October 20, 1977 soon after that truth was sung so well.

      “can’t you smell that smell”

Indeed you can, and back then they didn’t even have crack and meth to add to the unpleasant and very distinctive aura of odor that emanates from the pores of alcoholics and dopers.

I always went for the upper echelon of the biz as the money is in larger loans and buys of gold and guns, not stacks of vcr’s (1990’s) and video games, and that tended to reduce the flow of low tones…but work the counter of any shop that displays the word “pawn” and you will automatically attract some of that element. They typically don’t have much of value left to hock (that belongs to them anyway, but a quick verbal notice that any transaction requires a DL, photo, and sworn statement of ownership on an LE form that constitutes a felony for any amount of money not the usual $300-500 threshold, and they typically decided they’d be better to swap it on the street for their poison of choice or for the more literate throw it on eBay…that place is slam full of hot goods sold with impunity, so that did reduce the flow and the stink, but you still will come to know it well.

And yes the better-heeled are not exempt and those that get that monkey on their back have the funds to get in deep, sometimes 6 feet deep as the song warns. And the smell is equal opportunity, it seeps from the well-off the same as the street people, and the smell is the same, though maybe missing some of the BO component.

What a way to go, whether it actually kills your body or just your soul as it steals your family and business and any contribution to society you might otherwise have made. And I saw it happen many times, the progression is shocking but after a while you harden to the process.

Add the rancid fish odor that I referenced as to the Camela Ah yesterday though, and she’d have to find another place to hustle her goods or should I say bads (shudder).

From what little I know of the history of Western Civilization, it’s only been in the most recent times that median marrying age hasn’t been around 14. In Europe they’re now delaying it into their late 30s. I blame the feminist anti-sex religion.

The basic reason for the low marriage age was very simple and direct.
Until “recent times” survival of a family line required a maximal output of babies, and the earlier the start the better for both male and female.
So, the historically late start we now enjoy is a direct result of the advantages of modernity. This is also the reason for the dissolution of the extended family, which was the life support system for both the early starters and the elderly.
We live in strange times, times our DNA is not entirely adapted to.
It’s only going to get worse, because Science is hard at work in the quest to make us perpetually young, and that means we’ll be stuck with putting up with maladjusted adults ad infinitum.

And today, shockingly, the only ethnic group in the USA showing as much as an “even” replacement rate is “Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander.” Every other ethnic population is actually shrinking (excluding immigration effects). Doesn’t bode well for the survival of traditional American culture.

Way too much conflation of nudity to child sex abuse…not the same or even related, quite the opposite in fact.

If the girls lived with or engaged in family toplessness at the Portago compound as the natural normal that it is there, they have learned the difference. And their entire lives have been preparation for any type of attack, prurient or otherwise, there is zero connection to nudism and they know it.

There is is just no reason the girls can’t go along and enjoy the life and liberty that family nudity embraces…and the template that Chris produced for just that lifestyle illustrates that perfectly. Wish the world and all its evil didn’t take away this innocent freedom along with so many others that we have sacrificed.

But damn, that silhouette…seeing that and knowing the danger that lurks on the outside it is natural too for Zed’s protect mode to kick in. But not only can he not sequester them until 30 but he is about to see some independence that he might prefer to avoid, but is the natural and normal playing out if God’s plan for budding maturity…as to family nudity is all within the safety and normalcy of the family in everything they do. That’s life.
