Remember all of those “children” that have been flooding across the border? Mostly 16 to 19 years old?

    • April 7, 2021 at 12:28 am

Ah, too tall for school kids., got it

My mind went to the fact that I see every day here in orange country, that aboriginal Mexicans tend toward short.

A few years ago, the UN in it’s infinite wisdom decided that anyone under 25 was a ‘child’ and battalions of ‘unaccompanied children’ all of military age with appropriate haircuts and mannerisms promptly showed up in Europe…some shipping containers of weapons and ammunition were also found, but no idea how many they didn’t get or where they currently are…can’t even hazard a guess up here since a liebral gov’t quietly disbanded the Ports Police after a former PM’s shipping line got implicated in some dealings and Customs can’t handle it all so most container traffic goes unsearched unless they get tipped off…those busts get lots of publicity but it isn’t CSI…it’s RAT tha taccounts for most of them.

I like the momentum building in yesterday’s and today’s ‘toons. I think C.M. really has a ladder (not just a soapbox) to inspect & correct “The Narrative” here.

    “Colored”?? ROFL!!

    • April 7, 2021 at 10:08 am

As opposed to “people of color”. That’s somehow way different.

But colored people or simply “coloreds” is actually proper and accurate old-money Southern Speak (wish you could hear the inflection). Yes there are still some of them left amongst the nouveau riche thieves, wonks and sychophants flush with our money out of DC…

I grew up on the Mississippi coast in the 60s and 70s. I AM the inflection! I was laughing because those ‘sophisticated’ Yankees should know better than to use that term.

Chevy Chase huh? There’s something that Chris ain’t telling us. I’ll take a guess that he grew up in Bethesda and his parents were involved in politics.

Chevy Chase? I used to go out with the local foxhunting group, just west of there, from Potomac westward. Great country to gallop over, plenty of room and auto traffic was very low on weekends. Now it’s all built up in suburban uglyhuctches.

Y’know how archaeologists get all giddy about finding ancient villages from the end of the last ice sheets? (Go back about 15,000 years in the southern climes.) Housing still standing, built out of stones and local mortar materials. And nothing we have now can compare to it.

If civilization ends, will it end quickly? I don’t know. It’s as though it’s shedding its skin, turning to ashes, and Atlas is about to shrug, with or without John Galt.

Maybe this will help? If civilization fails, if the world ends, I’ll still understand what God meant. (quote from “Wolf”)

The usual pattern for civilization collapse seems to be that there is a buildup of pernicious factors over generations and then some trigger that starts the dominoes falling.
A lot has been said about how long “empires” last and that the US is just another empire and we’re due for a collapse.
But this Constitution of ours is, historically speaking, really weird. It actually makes provision for adapting to changes, including its own modification and a massive redundancy in seats of power (the States) which themselves evolve separately.
I’m no prophet, but I do have faith in the contrary nature of humans just like the Founders and Framers did. They didn’t trust people to do the “right thing” but did trust them to look to their own self-interests.
In reference to the “trigger” mentioned above it’s a whopper. The advent of the Internet is the biggest thing to come down the pike since the printing press and it’s having the same disruptive impact on world culture across the board.
I think things are destined to get worse before they get better, but our determined dedication to self-interest _will_ result in a “more perfect union”.

      • April 7, 2021 at 12:13 pm

A “more perfect confederacy” is what will evolve, as it should have 160 or so years back, and would have if not for the greed and evil of the First Rino…and the even worse forces that we face now.

Then those “redundant seats of power” would have and will form the self-determining, self-guided, self-regulating Constructionist Constitutional Republic that will be far more resistant to the type of agenda-driven “change” and control that the leftists lust for.

Oh Dear. THINK OF THE CHILDREN. It’s for the Children. The only kids they give a damn about are the ones that they didn’t abort.

Wonder how many of those darlingsat the gate are positive for Covid and other Diseases you didn’t get your kids vaccinated against. Keep an eye out for Small Pox to come back. After some manipulation with Bat or Snake DNA.

Brazil has the worst case scenario going on with the corona virus.
Smallpox vaxxes are good for 5 to 10 years, then they fade, but it’s a bacterium, not a virus. It is still mucking about in the bush in Africa, where it originated, but is not over here anywhere. The smallpox vaccine is still available, but the likelihood of getting it is slim.
We’d be more likely to face an influx of Yersinia pestis (Bubonic plague) because it’s carried by fleas.
A recent case was reported in China, when a herdsman caught it. Health authorities in China have identified a new case of the bubonic plague, the disease that triggered the “Black Death” pandemic back in the mid-1300s.
The new case, which was confirmed on July 5 (2020), was found in a herdsman living in the northern city of Bayannur.
      That by itself is worrisome.

Lot more concerned with the Blue Plague than the black one, whether of the viral, bacterial or racial kinds, as the former is a prolonged and miserable disease, denying the sweet respite of death for an entire lifetime, unless…

Sorry, but smallpox is indeed a virus (variola).

As someone who made two road trips from Western NC to Philmont during my Scouting days on a bus with an on-board head, decent seats, and functional HVAC, I can only say that from the DD to Maryland in a yellow school bus wouldn’t be a road trip I’d sign up for!

Perhaps JTC’s suggestions about the load being dropped could be facilitated if MREs were provided for the passengers en route, given the side effects of the MRE diet?

    • April 7, 2021 at 10:13 pm
      Too Tall

Side effects of an MRE diet? You mean like needing an enormous backhoe to dig the latrines? The swamp idiots will think that Mammoths are grazing on the Elipse.

      • April 8, 2021 at 12:16 am
        John M.

I never had MRE – I got out just as they were beginning to show up in the Field.

C-Rats were just the opposite, at least in my digestive system. 11 out of the 12 meals tended to plug me up. The only relief was that 12th meal: Ham and Lima Beans AKA Ham and Dammits. (or Ham and Muthafuggas) They went through me (and most of my brothers-in-arms) like Ex-Lax wishes it did, thus the nickname. If at all possible, you held off eating those until you were going to be in laager for a day or two.

    @ MY way or–
Smallpox is a virus; it’s the variola virus, and it is extremely persistent. It can survive for years on shed skin cells, leather, textiles, and some other surfaces.
As for plague (Yersinia pestis), it’s all over North America, mostly in rodent populations. Prairie dog towns are prime breeding grounds for it. Predators catch it from their prey. A few years ago a trapper in Montana caught a plague-infected bobcat, and he died. There’s one theory that the Vikings’ plague epidemic in the 14th Century was from trade with the Vinland natives (probably Micmacs). They bought furs and some of them had infected fleas. I don’t know whether that theory holds water.
The plague has been in the Middle East for millennia. Read 1 Samuel Chapter 6; if the mouse-associated sickness in the Philistine cities wasn’t the bubonic form of the plague, I’ll eat my hat. (It motivated the Philistines to return the Ark to the Jews along with golden effigies in the shapes of buboes and mice!)
