Don’t blame the Dawg. “He” can only do as much as his programming allows. Time for a Javier Upgrade 3.0.
This time to allow “attack mode” if two conditions are met:
1- he does not know the person
2- said person attempts to hornswoggle with a non-existent “title”

So Tucker now knows there are robotic dogs at the Double D Ranch? A far cry from the days of “No Dogs at the Double D” as Tucker and Zed toast the women walking away with Shiner Bocks.

“There are no DOGS at Double-D.” That is not the same thing as “There are no DAWGS at Double – D,” and Tucker already knows both statements are true!

Program the dawgs to respond like Daleks, when encountering leftie. Announce in harsh metallic voice “EXTERMINATE!” Give the miscreants a 3 second head start.

Pretty sure 3 seconds would not be enough time for Karen, XIR, and Forest to displace their considerable masses by 3 feet. The question is are they flexible to bend over and kiss their derrières good-bye in 3 seconds?

He’s right on the money about it. That’s the 3rd analyst (economist essentially same as financial analyst) who has said that. Thanks for the link.

Good idea to keep cash in an envelope or two in a hidden spot and add to it weekly, if you can. And I don’t mean the Depression-era Mason jar, either.

You seem to be missing an important point, money put away (Federal Reserve Notes) will be worth less every time they crank up the printing presses. Only durable goods, useful skills and food will be worth anything. We are already seeing the effects of the first stimulus in prices for most anything.

        My Way or -->

No, I did NOT miss that at all. Inflation coincides with fiscal mismanagement and incompetence. We are already in an inflated economy, have been since 2008 when whats-his-face sat on His Throne. Inflation is everywhere now, including in China. Nothing I don’t already know in what you said. And frankly, even currently minted coins are worthless pieces of metal, with less value than a bus token. (A what?)
There is nothing wrong with squirreling away some cash for emergencies., that’s all.

        https://fortune.com/2020/06/25/cashless-society-coronavirus-cash-america-fintech-unbanked-privacy/

From that article: While its use has certainly declined in recent years, cash will likely never disappear as those in the cashless movement would hope. Many cities like Philadelphia, San Francisco, and New York have recently passed legislation banning merchants from accepting only card and contactless payments. New Jersey passed a similar bill in 2019 on the state level, and cashless merchants have been banned in Massachusetts since 1978. – finis

The biggest problem with their dream of a cashless economy with them controlling all transactions is the huge percentage of their “clients” who don’t have checking accounts, savings accounts, debit cards, etc.

Assuming they have jobs, they’re mostly paid in cash. If by check, they go to check-cashing places and get cash.

Also, the drug trade does not run on checks or EFT except for very large peer-to-peer transactions, like a Mexican cartel buying a few metric tons of China White from a Nigerian cartel.

The street-level dealers, even the ones who the progressives’ best and brightest get their party drugs from, don’t take American Express.

Their own “constituencies” will be a stumbling block for their delusions. As usual.

What a load of BS…starts off saying cash is king and quickly devolves into a bunch of poverty center social justice crap like the Great Unbanked…yeah, that’s why. When did that happen to Fortune?

Quick anecdote as to actually why…today I met an old customer at my office and sold him the bulk of my last stash of silver dollars, 100 Morgan’s all 1800’s, and all in EF (extra fine) to AU (almost uncirculated) conditions. Not rare coins per se as relatively few Morgan’s are, but very nice, certainly historical, and some probably grading slab-worthy for $2800. (More later on why I would do that at this time when a primary component of prep is precious metal.)

But remembering that this is just an anecdote of what happens every day everywhere, my coins were not leaving without his c-notes in my hand.

        That’s why.

BTW economists are NOT the same as analysts.

Friedman and Laffer are (were) economists; forward-looking and not risk-averse with their convictions and their advice on things to come and actions to take, or more importantly actions to not take, with the knowledge that that and the confidence or lack of it that it inspires, is a large component of what drives and determines the economy and survival going forward.

Analysts? Well you only know of two but they are many because it’s an important-sounding zero- responsibility can’t-lose job. Like other experts (an ex is a has-been and a spurt is just a drip under pressure), they look at past history and trends and instead of using them to inform the future taking current reality and most especially cause/effect and perception/reality into account, they adhere to that past history, predetermined, disinterested third party doom and gloom method of prognosticating. Easy work with no personal responsibility…but useless.

The former are few and far between (Trump is one, a pay grade or six up the chain) while the latter are everywhere.

A depression is not imminent or a certainty unless we believe it is, and the length of any cyclical downturn is not predetermined. All of it is dependent on planning and choices and pure belief…good or bad. Keep Trump on the job and wackjobs of commie persuasion away from the switch and the resilience and underlying power of the market and broader American economy will be the reality…and vice-versa. Don’t give me that crap about cosmic predestiny that whatever happens happens because it happened before and whoever is in the chair gets the blame or the credit…how in the world do these “analyst” pods get the ear of anybody with an IQ above absolute zero?

Hard to believe that 30% were Biden voters, who are neurologically incapable of understanding anything past tying their shoes incorrectly. If on the other hand they were Dem defectors to MAGA, then the Monster Vote was even huger than anyone can imagine.

Analysts and historians will be able to give us an honest rough estimate eventually, but it will take three generations for enough Trump Derangement Syndrome to dissipate for it to surface.
I had an aunt, a die hard Democrat, who was practically on her death bed before she publicly admitted that Eisenhower knew what he was talking about.

I’m posting this hoping Mr Muir will not permanently ban me. Posting it because I think the folks here need to know.

Absolutely fascinating, ought-to-be-required reading: The October issue of “Imprimis” titled “A Sensible and Compassionate Anti-COVID Strategy”
    https://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/sensible-compassionate-anti-covid-strategy/

    From the piece

We should respond to the COVID virus rationally: protect the vulnerable, treat the people who get infected compassionately, develop a vaccine. And while doing these things we should bring back the civilization that we had so that the cure does not end up being worse than the disease.

Those who dare to talk about the tremendous economic harms that have followed from the lockdowns are accused of heartlessness. Economic considerations are nothing compared to saving lives, they are told. So I’m not going to talk about the economic effects—I’m going to talk about the deadly effects on health, beginning with the fact that the U.N. has estimated that 130 million additional people will starve this year as a result of the economic damage resulting from the lockdowns.

In the last 20 years we’ve lifted one billion people worldwide out of poverty. This year we are reversing that progress to the extent—it bears repeating—that an estimated 130 million more people will starve.

Another result of the lockdowns is that people stopped bringing their children in for immunizations against diseases like diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough), and polio, because they had been led to fear COVID more than they feared these more deadly diseases. This wasn’t only true in the U.S. Eighty million children worldwide are now at risk of these diseases. We had made substantial progress in slowing them down, but now they are going to come back.

In my youth I wrote a poem with the recurring idee fixe

For the world is a dark and mysterious place, my friend
    Where miseries and troubles abound.
And where nervous and frightened and jittery little men
    Are startled by every sound.

Never expected to be prophetic. Wish to God I hadn’t been.

I subscribe to that Hillsdale College newsletter and I remember reading it not so long ago.

It was reminiscent of that envirofraud Rachael Carson and her book “Silent Spring” that led to a worldwide ban of DDT. The unintended consequence … untold millions and millions died of malaria, particularly in Asia, Africa, South America and other impoverished areas of the world. People of color paid the price for the white left-wing Carson’s fraudulent work.

I remember reading sometime ago (late 90s or early 2000s) that the U.N. quietly began re-instituting the use of DDT while never acknowledging Carson’s fraud.

In fact, a couple in Southern California reportedly consumed DDT pills for three months with no ill effects to illustrate that DDT was safe for humans …

OC that is an excellent linked article. And far be it for me to address comment length, I know it is for emphasis, but the hot link and a shorter key quote would help with that.

And leave room for your boyhood poetry, wouldn’t want to miss that. Guessing that dark outlook was from our normally angst-ridden years of post-puberty and not the beautiful innocent interlude from 2-12 that I hope every child can have without the stress and weight of adulthood.

Apropos defense systems – looks to me like both the media’s refusal to allow election fraud information to circulate and their refusal to cease with the covid-1984 fearmongering are defensive in nature. Were they in a confident and offensive position, they’d have no need to prolong these hoaxes. Under the surface, I think they feel very much cornered.

Still, when you make flag, and you have tenure, what can anyone do to you except tell you to leave and spend your pension. Cowards – that’s what many are in our leadership and bureaucracy. You have to call a shot. I was cancelled a few weeks ago based on facts submitted in a post. There was a complaint, no source provided, which found my opinion offensive. I was not allowed to respond, only to acknowledge that know I was a senior officer and should remember that, alongside with a reminder that my boss was a fan of the 1st Amendment, however, some were offended by facts. Not amused. Cowards. Non-attributed offense? WTH is that all about?

Then in January when McCain suddenly “resigned” because of incapacity, Sarah Palin became POTUS.
