Did Skye level last year and that plus some add-on the year before when I got into a fun poker one-upper with another reader (who has since disappeared, what happened The Big Henry?). Anyway, semi-retirement and taking early social security to ensure getting back some of my stolen funds means I’m more limited in discretionary disbursements…although one could make the argument that DBD is more of a mental health necessity.
So anyway, I dropped back to Jan/Damon level this year plus the 25 for the Redvolution premier…but I will be watching the bar as we get to the end and maybe I’ll squeeze out a little more if I can and it looks to be needed to put us over the top. And BTW Chris does take later additional change in the jar into account to up your level if the extra puts you there; he did that for me when I did the poker thing and I thought that was pretty cool.
Anyway. Y’all who like me take this place as a second home; a place to learn and share your thoughts and opinions, try to treat it like a pay for play transaction and put in what you can now (what better time to support Redvolution than while we celebrate the Revolution?), and if you can add a few more fiat dollars later do it!

I’m not sure where in Texas the ranch is located, but having been in San Angelo (Goodfellow AFB) during the summer going with as few clothes as possible is a very good idea! Wearing the lightweight BDUs without tighties cooled you off nicely.
One weekend a group of us went to Lake Nastywater (Nasworthy) for a picnic. Most of the girls wore shorts and t-shirts but a couple wore sun dresses without anything under. One’s was a little too lightweight but we (the guys) didn’t complain. Shorts and T-shirts for the guys were “the uniform of the day.” And most of us were commando which made it interesting during the water fight at the end when a number of us went into the water.

I think our current Pontiff should worry less about the nebulous issue of global warming and more about the real culture of death sweeping from Europe into the United States. The Vatican’s statement on this was shameful.
John Paul II would have been all over this as an existential threat to the dignity of life.
Better wake up people, coerced state mandated death panels are just one Democraticlly controlled Congress and White House away.
Make no mistake, if they take control in DC again, socialized medicine will be their first priority. Once the state owns your health care, they OWN you.
